Great Crossing coach Steve Page started the following lineup: 6-7 Jr. Jeremiah Godfrey, 6-5 So. Vince Dawson III, 6-11 So. Malachi Moreno, 6-3 Sr. DeJohn Blunt, and 6-4 So. Gage Richardson. Covington Catholic coach Scott Ruthsatz countered with 6-2 Sr. Kascyl McGillis, 6-2 Jr. Brady Hussey, 6-3 Sr. Aiden Jones, 5-10 Fr. Athens McGillis, and 6-1 Sr. Evan Ipsaro.
Covington Catholic defeated Great Crossing by the score of 75-60. Covington Catholic shot 51% from the field including 10 of 22 from the three point line. The Colonels connected on 13 of 15 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 17 Great Crossing turnovers. Great Crossing shot 45.7% from the field including four of 13 from beyond the arc. The Warhawks connected on 14 of 19 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored seven points off 13 Covington Catholic turnovers.
Evan Ipsaro led Covington Catholic with 32 points including 13 of 15 free throws, five rebounds, and nine assists. Brady Hussey added 11 points including three three point baskets. 6-2 Sr. Ayden Link recorded nine points.
Malachi Moreno led Great Crossing with 16 points, six rebounds, and four blocked shots. Vince Dawson III added 16 points, four rebounds, and four assists. DeJohn Blunt recorded eight points and seven rebounds. Jjeremiah Godfrey chipped in with eight points and eight rebounds.
