Madison Central got off to a slow start and was unable to catch up as they dropped a 38-23 decision to Dixie Heights in a game that was delayed late in the first quarter for almost an hour due to lightning in the area.  Madison Central held an advantage in most of the statistics except the important one-points on the scoreboard.  Dixie Heights recorded 16 first downs and 292 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized 10 times for 102 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.  Madison Central recorded 22 first downs and 387 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized seven times for 46 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.

Dixie Heights recorded 16 first downs and 292 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized 10 times for 102 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.  Madison Central recorded 22 first downs and 387 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized seven times for 46 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.

Leon Marshall led Dixie Heights’ ground game with 75 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries.  Dylan Sears carried the ball five times for 42 yards.  Jeremy Adams added 36 yards on five carries.  Logan Landers carried the ball nine times for 21 yards.  Logan Landers completed seven of 12 passes for 116 yards with two touchdowns with one interception.  Jeremy Adams caught three passes for 82 yards and a touchdown.  Kel Hawkins added a 25 yard touchdown reception.  Logan Sansone kicked a 52 yard field goal.  Cayden Anderson led the defense with eight solo and six assisted tackles.  Pierce Rohlman added three solo and eight assisted tackles.  Seth Young recorded five solo and three assisted tackles.  Devin Ackerman recovered a fumble and Kel Hawkins intercepted a pass he returned for 41 yards.

Matt Jones led Madison Central’s ground game with 148 yards on 18 carries.  Adrien Parks carried the ball 16 times for 75 yards and a touchdown.  Canon Scenters completed 13 of 27 passes for 155 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Zach Holbrook caught six passes for 55 yards.  John Landsaw added five receptions for 86 yards and a touchdown.  Ashton Hulberg recorded two receptions for 14 yards and a touchdown.  Deashon Gowdey returned one kickoff for 39 yards.  Edgren Sweat led the defense with five solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a five yard loss and recovered a fumble.  Sawyer Cruse recorded seven solo tackles.  Nate Storie added two solo and three assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned for 24 yards.

Lexington Catholic rallied from a 36-7 deficit with 10:31 remaining in the second quarter to earn a 54-50 victory over Tates Creek.  The Knights clawed back in the game but still trailed 50-35 early in the final quarter but got a 95 yard interception return for a touchdown by JD Woodall and a 62 yard touchdown reception by Woodall from Beau Allen with 2:23 remaining in the game to earn the victory.  This game was an offensive shootout with a combined 105 points, 45 first downs, and 1182 yards of total offense.  The anticipated showdown between Lexington Catholic QB Beau Allen and Tates Creek signal caller Luke Duby lived up to the hype as Allen threw for 464 yards and six touchdowns and Duby threw for 535 yards and seven touchdowns.  Tates Creek wide receiver Miles Thomas who has exploded on the recruiting scene caught 12 passes for 281 yards and scored on receptions of 13, 88, and 75 yards. 

Lexington Catholic recorded 20 first downs and 484 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized seven times for 71 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.  Tates Creek recorded 25 first downs and 699 yards of total offense.  The Commodores were penalized eight times for 99 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.  There were a total of six scoring plays above 50 yards in tonight’s contest.

Dylan Bracken led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with nine yards on one carry.  Beau Allen completed 31 of 42 passes for 464 yards and six touchdowns with two interceptions.  Jackson Corbett caught 11 passes for 132 yards and three touchdowns.  Blake Busson added eight receptions for 108 yards and a touchdown.  Ryan Nichols added seven catches for 40 yards.  Jack Gohmann recorded two receptions for 97 yards and a touchdown.  JD Woodall added a 62 yard touchdown reception.  Ryan Mattingly led the defense with seven solo and one assisted tackles.  JD Woodall added seven solo tackles and scored on a 95 yard interception return.  Kimwanga Mafuta recorded seven solo tackles.  Teddy Bullock chipped in with six solo and one assisted tackles. 

Luke Duby led Tates Creek’s ground game with 74 yards on 18 carries.  Marcus Bosley carried the ball seven times for 41 yards.  Luke Duby completed 31 of 42 passes for 535 yards and seven touchdowns with one interception.  Miles Thomas caught 12 passes for 281 yards and three touchdowns.  Elliot Bryant added seven receptions for 114 yards and two touchdowns.  Cion Townsend recorded five receptions for 59 yards and two touchdowns.  TrePOEN Broadus also caught five passes for 51 yards.  Marcus Bosley led the defense with 10 solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards.  Bonnell Herron recorded four solo and two assisted tackles.  Kobe Middleton added four solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.  Isaiah McFarland recorded three solo tackles including one tackles for 11 yards.  JT Acosta added two solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss, recovered a fumble, and intercepted a pass he returned for 13 yards.

Eastern Kentucky University trailed 10-7 after the first quarter but scored 28 unanswered points on their way to a 35-10 victory over Presbyterian.  Eastern Kentucky University recorded 23 first downs and 452 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized five times for 50 yards and had two passes intercepted.  Presbyterian recorded 15 first downs and 224 yards of total offense.  They were penalized six times for 40 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Murray continues to roll with an impressive 64-27 victory over Trigg County.  Murray recorded 22 first downs and 436 yards of total offense.  The Tigers were penalized four times for 30 yards and had one pass intercepted.  Trigg County recorded 20 first downs and 324 yards of total offense.  The Wildcats were penalized 10 times for 77 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Charvelle McCallister led Murray’s ground game with 161 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries.  Jaiden Jackson carried the ball three times for 31 yards.  Hunter Utley completed 14 of 17 passes for 250 yards and five touchdowns with one interception.  Charvelle McCallister caught two passes for 76 yards and one touchdown.  Tommy Waldrop added three receptions for 61 yards and two touchdowns.  Jordan Duffy recorded five receptions for 55 yards and one touchdown.  Jaiden Jackson added three catches for 38 yards and a touchdown.  Jaiden Jackson returned two kickoffs for 53 yards.  Tommy Waldrop led the defense with seven solo and eight assisted tackles.  Damon Boyd added six solo and five assisted tackles.  Andrew Orr recorded four solo and three assisted tackles.  Jaiden Jackson intercepted a pass he returned for a touchdown.

Cameron Jordon led Trigg County’s ground game with 86 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries.  Cade Bleidt carried the ball nine times for 49 yards and a touchdown.  Tayshun Barker recorded 33 yards on six carries.  Cameron Jordon completed 15 of 26 passes for 161 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions.  JaKobe Bridges caught three passes for 42 yards.  Cole Renfro added one reception for 33 yards and a touchdown.  Kion Thompson caught three passes for 33 yards.  Tayshun Barker returned six kickoffs for 126 yards.  Kendric Adams led the defense with three solo tackles.  Alex Curling and Cade Bleidt added two solo and one assisted tackles each.

Covington Catholic continues to roll with a 49-3 victory over Beechwood tonight.  Covington Catholic recorded 17 first downs and 428 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized seven times for 103 yards and lost a fumble.  Beechwood recorded nine first downs and 72 yards of total offense.  They had one pass intercepted.

Daniel Felix led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 80 yards on eight carries.  Michael Boydston carried the ball three times for 69 yards and two touchdowns.  Caleb Jacob completed eight of 12 passes for 181 yards and three touchdowns.  Ethan Reardon caught three passes for 95 yards and a touchdown.  Andy Molique added three receptions for 46 yards.  Daniel Felix and Michael Boydston caught touchdown passes of 36 and 4 yards respectively.  Michael Boydston returned two kickoffs for 89 yards with a long return of 51 yards.  Luke Zimmerman returned four kickoffs of 54 yards with a long return of 16 yards.  Noah Powers led the defense with four solo tackles.  Daniel Felix added two solo and three assisted tackles.  Zach Allen recorded three solo tackles with all three of his tackles resulting in losses. 

Avery Courtney led Beechwood’s ground game with 17 yards on six carries.  Cameron Hergott completed 13 of 29 passes for 90 yards with one interception.  Mason Williams caught eight passes for 45 yards.  Brady Moore added three receptions for 35 yards.  Cole Stammer returned two kickoffs for 76 yards.  Blake Shepherd led the defense with three solo and one assisted tackles.  Michael Hatfiel and Samuel Rademac added three solo tackles each.  Mitchell Corts recorded three solo tackles with two resulting in losses.

DeSales outscored Cooper 27-0 in the third quarter on their way to a 40-7 victory.  DeSales defense came up big tonight as they scored twice on interception returns and their offense rolled up more than 400 yards.  DeSales recorded 18 first downs and 423 yards of total offense.  The Colts were penalized nine times for 142 yards and had two passes intercepted.  Cooper recorded eight first downs and 116 yards of total offense.  The Jaguars were penalized once for 15 yards, lost a fumble, and had three passes intercepted.

James Johnson led DeSales’ ground attack with 126 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries.  Demarcus Avery carried the ball 13 times for 67 yards and a touchdown.  Antione Johnson added 20 yards and a touchdown on four carries.  Demarcus Avery completed eight of 12 passes for 145 yards with one interception.  Jason Higdon caught two passes for 53 yards.  Mekhi Lewis caught one pass for 50 yards.  Lee’Twon Bray returned three punts for 32 yards with a long return of 20 yards.  Lance Weiter led the defense with three solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted two passes, one he returned 60 yards for a touchdown.  Demetri Scott added two solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards.  Darren Hollenkamp recovered a fumble and Anthony Usher scored on a 40 yard interception return.

Brendon Tye led Cooper’s ground game with 20 yards on 15 carries.  Drew Warth completed seven of 20 passes for 88 yards with three interceptions.  Jayden Bergatio completed his only pass for 35 yards and a touchdown.  Jeremiah Lee caught four passes for 63 yards and a touchdown.  Xavier Smith caught one pass for 38 yards.  Jeremiah Lee returned one kickoff for 29 yards.  Ethan Bosway led the defense with two solo and four assisted tackles.  Bryant Yelton added five assisted tackles.  Jeremiah Lee intercepted a pass he returned 22 yards and Anthony Witschey also intercepted a pass.

Scott County raced out to a 35-0 first quarter lead on their way to a 52-16 victory over Emmerich Manual (IN).  Scott County recorded 17 first downs and 330 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized three times for 37 yards.  Emmerich Manual recorded 11 first downs and 287 yards of total offense.  They were penalized eight times for 86 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.

Phillip Garner led Scott County’s ground game with 73 yards and two touchdowns on four carries.  Bryson Gibson carried the ball nine times for 60 yards.  Aaron Prater added 43 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries.  Jeremy Hamilton carried the ball one times for 33 yards and a touchdown.  McCaleb Coffee added an eight yard touchdown run.  Cade McKee was zero for one in the passing department.  Jaxson Saylor and Sam Daniel each returned one punt for 19 yards each.  Rylan Reed, Jaxson Saylor, and Hayden Jones each returned one kickoff for 24, 19, and 17 yards respectively.  Andrew Willhite led the defense with four solo tackles.  C. Marshall and Silas Emongo each recorded three solo tackles and Emongo recovered a fumble.  Campton Martin intercepted a pass he returned for 24 yards.  Chaney Harris scored on a 0 yard blocked punt return.

D. Pittman led Emmerich Manual’s ground game with 77 yards on eight carries.  Tyron Sanders carried the ball twice for 26 yards.  Jermaine Thomas scored on a one yard run.  D. Pittman completed 11 of 19 passes for 168 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  Robert Orkman caught four passes for 122 yards and a touchdown.  Keith Horton added four receptions for 27 yards.  W. Wickman led the defense with six solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss.  Tyron Sanders also recorded six solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss.

Madison Central captured their first victory of the season with a 24-18 victory over Lafayette but nothing came easy tonight.  Madison Central raced out to a 13-0 lead but after losing five fumbles and  QB Canon Scenters leaving the game for several minutes with an injury Lafayette rallied to take an 18-16 lead with 6:01 left in the game.  Lafayette had the ball and was attempting to run out the clock but Taishon Chenault recovered a fumble at the Lafayette 10 yard line.  Canon Scenters threw a seven yard touchdown pass to Ashton Hulberg and threw the 2-point conversion pass to Hulberg to make the score 24-18 with 1:07 on the clock.  Lafayette fumbled the kickoff return and Madison Central recovered enabling them to run out the clock and ensure the victory.

Madison Central recorded 16 first downs and 302 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized nine times for 58 yards and lost five fumbles.  Lafayette recorded 11 first downs and 169 yards of total offense.  The Generals were penalized 10 times for 87 yards and lost two fumbles.

Adrien Parks led Madison Central with 76 yards on 21 carries.  Matt Jones carried the ball 11 times for 30 yards.  Canon Scenters completed 13 of 21 passes for 192 yards and three touchdowns.  Zach Holbrook caught seven passes for 82 yards.  John Landsaw added five receptions for 113 yards and a touchdown.  Ashton Hulberg recorded two receptions for 13 yards and two touchdowns.  Deashon Gowdey returned one kickoff for 48 yards.  Edgren Sweat led the defense with two solo and six assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards.  Kyran Jackson added five solo and two assisted tackles with five of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 30 yards.  Sawyer Cruse recorded four solo and two assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards.  Caden Ellington chipped in withfour solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss.  Taishon Chenault recovered a fumble.

JaeWON Kendrick led Lafayette’s ground game with 21 points on 12 carries.  Tanner Pace completed nine of 12 passes for 118 yards and two touchdowns.  Drake Nelson completed one of 10 passes for 22 yards.  Austin Anderson caught four passes for 66 yards and a touchdown.  John Combs added two receptions for 31 yards.  JC Shegog caught two passes for 24 yards.  Noah Curtsinger caught a 12 yard touchdown reception.  JC Shegog returned four kickoffs for 141 yards including a 91 yard return for a touchdown.  Chase Bradford led the defense with four solo and five assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss.  Jay Brank added four solo and five assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards and recovered a fumble.  Malik Bryant recorded five solo and two assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  Cole Lockhart and Justin Campbell also recovered a fumble each.  Jaylen Lawson recorded three solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards before entering the game early with an injury.
