"Blue-Chip" Specialty Camp

Point Guard Camp (Both Boys & Girls)

Since 1973 when I started my scouting service, the calls that I get the most often from college coaches nationwide are their needs for point guards. With that in mind we are proud and happy to announce a new camp to our summer venues-a point guard camp, scheduled for July 13-14 at Georgetown College in Georgetown, KY.  Dr. Mike Beitzel, a former college coach at Hanover College and Northern Kentucky University, will direct the camp. He will teach the finer points of being a point guard to help one take his or her game to the next level such as knowledge, knowing your teammates, seeing the floor, distributing the ball and leading the defense. Let a veteran coach like Coach Beitzel and his experienced staff show you how to become a better coach on the floor and the glue that holds a team together.

"Blue-Chip" Specialty Camp

Post Camp (Both Boys & Girls)

Mark down the dates of June 25 and 26 if you want to learn the finer points of pivot play. Though it is aimed at taller players, many guards have found that the ability to post up can diversify their offense. Veteran high school coach, Randy Ward, heads a quality staff that can turn potential into results in the paint. Coach Ward has almost 40 years experience coaching at the high school level.  Come to the Post Camp, and then put what you learned into practice immediately in your summer play. The camp begins at 2 PM on June 25th and ends at noon on June 26th.

HP/BC SHOOTING CAMP

The next few blogs will deal with our specialty camps that we will be offering to both boys and girls at the high school and junior high school levels this summer. First the High Potential/Blue-Chip Shooting Camp which will take place June 25-26 at Georgetown College in easy-to-reach Georgetown, KY, near Lexington.

Dr. Mike Beitzel, the former head college coach at Northern Kentucky University and Hanover College will once again direct the camp. Coach Beitzel was a former head coach at the collegiate level for 30 years. He and his experience staff will guide the players through an intense yet enjoyable two days.

Players will go through a series of drills that will help players improve their perimeter shooting such as three point shooting, free-throws, catching and shooting, and shooting off the dribble and pass to name just a few. One will be instructed the right way to put the ball in the basket.

If one is looking to take his or her game to the next level, then let the High Potential/Blue-Chip Shooting Camp assist in accomplishing that goal. Click below for additional information.
