Lexington Christian Academy coach Jason Seamands started the following lineup: 5-7 Sr. Kristin Rinehart, 5-7 Jr. Katelyn Bundy, 5-10 So. Savannah Compton, 5-5 Fr. Allison Brooks, and 5-4 8th grader Cara Burdette. Tates Creek coach Tina Winn countered with 5-6 Sr. Dominique Etling-Turner, 5-6 So. Haley Blackburn, 5-9 Sr. Katie Pippen, 5-5 Sr. Lexi Whaley, and 5-6 Sr. Oney Harrison.
Tates Creek finally pulled away in the final quarter to earn a 65-56 victory over Lexington Christian Academy. Tates Creek shot 32.1% from the field including three of 13 from the three point line. The Lady Commodores connected on 12 of 18 free throws, pulled down 63 rebounds, and scored five points off 15 LCA turnovers. LCA shot 33.3% from the field including two of 18 from beyond the arc. The Lady Eagles connected on only 12 of 33 free throws, pulled down 50 rebounds, and scored seven points off 16 Tates Creek turnovers.
Oney Harrison led Tates Creek with 24 points and 10 rebounds. Katie Pippen added 11 points, 14 rebounds, and four assists. Dominique Etling-Turner recorded nine points. Lexi Whaley chipped in with eight points.
Katelyn Bundy led LCA with 24 points and seven rebounds. Savannah Compton added 12 points and 12 rebounds. Kristin Rinehart chipped in with 12 points and eight rebounds.
