Southwestern coach Tim Rice started the following lineup: 5-11 Fr. Samantha Fitzgerald, 5-9 So. Adison Corder, 6-1 Fr. Elisabeth Latham, 5-5 So. Destiny Molden, and 5-7 So. Brittany Combs. Scott County coach Steve Helton countered with 5-8 Sr. Laura Szorenyi, 5-7 Jr. Danielle DeFoor, 6-0 Jr. Tereka Guyn, 5-6 Jr. Rachel Young, and 5-6 Jr. Audriana Christopher.
Southwestern led 25-11 in the second quarter and 45-40 after three quarters but Scott County rallied for a 62-57 victory. Scott County shot 32.8% from the field including five of 22 from the three point line. The Lady Cardinals connected on 13 of 23 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 14 Southwestern turnovers. Southwestern shot 37.3% from the field including seven of 21 from beyond the arc. The Lady Warriors connected on 12 of 21 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored one point off five Scott County turnovers.
Audriana Christopher led Scott County with 18 points. Tereka Guyn added 14 points, 13 rebounds, and four steals. Rachel Young chipped in with 11 points six rebounds, and four steals. Laura Szorenyi also scored 11 points including two three point baskets.
Adison Corder led Southwestern with 35 points including six three point baskets and six rebounds. Destiny Molden added eight points and five rebounds. Samantha Fitzgerald chipped in with seven points and five rebounds. 5-11 So. Dylana Fothergill pulled down seven rebounds.
