When you play Belfry you will face a constant ground pounding attack and nothing changed tonight as Belfry defeated Pulaski County by the score of 33-13.  Belfry had 379 yards of total offense with 367 yards coming on the ground on 48 rushing attempts.  Pulaski County recorded 138 yards on the ground and 143 yards through the air.

Isaac Dixon led Belfry’s ground game with 194 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries.  Brett Coleman carried the ball 10 times for 66 yards and a touchdown.  Kyle Webb recorded 61 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries.  Brett Coleman completed one of two passes for 12 yards.  Isaac Dixon caught one pass for 12 yards.  Seth Mounts led the defense with four solo and eight assisted tackles.  Brad Lowe added two solo and eight assisted tackles.  Brett Coleman recorded three solo and five assisted tackles.

Drew Polston led Pulaski County’s ground game with 110 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.  Tristan Cox added 12 yards and a touchdown on two carries.  Drew Polston completed 21 of 33 passes for 143 yards and one touchdown.  Jacob Shepherd caught four passes for 45 yards.  Barek Williams added seven receptions for 38 yards.  Chandler Godby caught three passes for 32 yards and a touchdown.  Donovan Abbott also caught seven passes for 28 yards.  Tristan Cox led the Maroons on defense with 12 solo and five assisted tackles.  Cody Nichols added two solo and seven assisted tackles.  Michael Craft recorded six solo and two assisted tackles.

Covington Catholic took a 21-0 lead at halftime but Dixie Heights scored two touchdowns in the final quarter in a Covington Catholic 21-14 victory.  Covington Catholic recorded 21 first downs and 248 yards of total offense.  They were penalized three times for 23 yards, lost two fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.  Dixie Heights recorded 14 first downs and 246 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized three times for 15 yards.

Owen Nally led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 45 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.  Caleb Jacob carried the ball six times for 27 yards and a touchdown.  Caleb Jacob completed 12 of 22 passes for 143 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions.  Ethan Reardon caught three passes for 55 yards and a touchdown.  Ryan Schneider added three receptions for 39 yards.  David Sullivan led the defense with eight solo and one assisted tackles.  Ryan Schneider added five solo and one assisted tackles.  Isaiah Roedig and Jackson Hodge each recorded six solo tackles.

Pierce Rohlman led Dixie Height’s ground game with 43 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries.  Logan Landers completed 22 of 42 passes for 182 yards.  Devin Holbert caught eight passes for 53 yards.  Simon Sharp added three receptions for 46 yards.  Kel Hawkins recorded receptions for 26 yards.  Mark Dugan led the defense with nine solo and one assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  Colin Smith added seven solo tackles and recovered a fumble.  Kel Hawkins intercepted two passes.

West Virginia University rolled up 624 yards of total offense as the Mountaineers steam rolled Eastern Kentucky University by the score of 56-10.  West Virginia recorded 31 first downs and 624 yards of total offense.  The Mountaineers were penalized eight times for 85 yards and did not commit any turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky University recorded nine first downs and 206 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized eight times for 65 yards and had one pass intercepted.

Leddie Brown led West Virginia’s ground game with 123 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries.  Alec Sinkfield carried the ball 15 times for 123 yards and two touchdowns.  Tony Mathis Jr. added 55 yards and one touchdown on 18 carries.  Jarret Doege completed 19 of 25 passes for 228 yards and three touchdowns.  Sam Jones caught five passes for 72 yards and a touchdown.  B. Ford-Wheaton added four receptions for 67 yards and a touchdown.  Sam Brown and Reese Smith also caught four passes for 43 and 32 yards respectively.  Leddie Brown added a 15 yard touchdown reception.  Winston Wright returned two kickoffs for 45 yards with a long return of 25 yards.  Tyler Sumpter punted twice for a 55.0 average with a long punt of 56 yards and one punt inside the 20 yard line.  Tony Fields II led the defense with four solo and six assisted tackles.  Alonzo Addae added three solo and four assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.  Jared Bartlett recorded four solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards.  VanDarius Cowan added two solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards.

Pikeville defeated Raceland by the score of 28-7.  This game had two lightning delays and the second half was played during a down pour.  This was Pikeville’s 15th consecutive victory but the first victory at Raceland in 64 years.  Pikeville recorded 13 first downs and 363 yards of total offense.  They were penalized eight times for 85 yards, lost one fumble, and had two passes intercepted.  Raceland recorded 13 first downs and 219 yards of total offense.  The Rams were not penalized, lost three fumbles, and had one pass intercepted.

Blake Birchfield led Pikeville’s ground game with 148 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries.  Alex Rogers carried the ball five times for 28 yards.  Nate Collins added 22 yards and one touchdown on eight carries.  Isaac McNamee completed 11 of 21 passes for 143 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions.  Zac Lockhart caught six passes for 113 yards and one touchdown.  Blake Birchfield added two receptions for 14 yards.  Zac Lockhart returned one kickoff for 31 yards.  Carson Wright led the defense with six solo tackles.  Ricardo Perez added three solo tackles and recorded one sack.  Nate Collins added two solo tackles and recorded one sack.  Sam Wright intercepted a pass.

Lexington Christian Academy utilized a big play offense and an aggressive pass rush to earn a big 24-20 victory over the DeSales Colts on the road tonight.  Lexington Christian Academy recorded 13 first downs and 253 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized seven times for 70 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.  DeSales recorded 14 first downs and 193 yards of total offense.  The Colts were penalized six times for 50 yards and did not commit any turnovers.

Xavier Brown led LCA’s ground game with 47 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.  Drew Nieves carried the ball 12 times for 26 yards.  Drew Nieves completed 15 of 23 passes for 184 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Xavier Brown caught eight passes for 109 yards and a touchdown.  Mason Moore added three receptions for 54 yards and a touchdown on a flea flicker play well executed.  Will Vernon returned three kickoffs for 38 yards.  Chance McGaughey led the defense with seven solo and two assisted tackles.  Mattie Lebryk added four solo and five assisted tackles.  Jeffrey Selby recorded three solo and six assisted tackles.  Tyler Morris added two solo and eight assisted tackles and recorded 1.5 sacks.  Neal Dickey added three solo and four assisted tackles and recorded 3.5 sacks.

James Johnson led DeSales ground game with 122 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries.  Jayden Scroggins completed six of 16 passes for 88 yards and one touchdown.  Caleb Winebrenner caught two passes for 39 yards and a touchdown.  James Johnson caught one pass for 25 yards.  Lance Weiter returned two kickoffs for 67 yards.  Zane Wilkerson led the defense with 10 solo tackles.  Caleb Winebrenner added seven solo and two assisted tackles.  Trevon Williams recorded four solo and two assisted tackles.  Anthony Usher and James Johnson recorded four and three solo tackles respectively.  Derek Hollenkamp intercepted a pass.

Murray dominated Webster County tonight on their way to a 47-6 victory over the Trojans.  The Tigers offense was led by Rowdy Sokolowski with two touchdown passes and Charvelle McCallister ran for three scores.  Also, soph soccer player Kyra Jones calmly kicked a 24 yard field goal in the fourth quarter making her the first female to score points in a varsity Murray football game.  Murray recorded 16 first downs and 314 yards of total offense.  The Tigers were penalized seven times for 80 yards and lost a fumble.  Webster County recorded four first downs and 43 yards of total offense.  The Trojans were penalized 10 times for 65 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

Charvelle McCallister led Murray’s ground attack with 124 yards and three touchdowns on 11 carries.  Rowdy Sokolowski added 57 yards and a touchdown on two carries.  Rowdy Sokolowski completed five of seven passes for 109 yards and two touchdowns.  Dijon Miles caught three passes for 74 yards and a touchdown.  Xavier Biggers caught a 30 yard touchdown reception.  Sebastian Lawrence, Brendan Dahncke, Devin Lee, and Dire Dougherty led the defense with three solo and three assisted tackles each.

Caden Bean carried the ball once for 10 yards to lead the Webster County ground game.  Mason Wilson completed five of 14 passes for 101 yards and one touchdown with one interception.  Daniel Yates caught three passes for 88 yards and a touchdown.  Dylan Sowders led the defense with four solo tackles and Daniel Yates added three solo tackles.  Daniel Yates returned three kickoffs for 38 yards.

Christian Academy dominated tonight in a 49-7 victory over Bullitt East.  CAL recorded 19 first downs and 439 yards of total offense.  The Centurions were penalized four times for 45 yards and did not commit any turnovers.  Bullitt East recorded nine first downs and 181 yards of total offense.  The Chargers were penalized four times for 30 yards and did not commit any turnovers.

Brandt Babin led CAL’s ground game with 63 yards and a touchdown on five carries.  Clayton Masters completed 14 of 19 passes for 265 yards and five touchdowns.  Adam Ballard caught four passes for 90 yards and two touchdowns.  William Poor caught two passes for 51 yards.  Nathaniel Heidenreich recorded two receptions for 46 yards and a touchdown.  Brandt Babin caught two passes for 31 yards and a touchdown.  Gage Geren added three receptions for 30 yards and a touchdown. 

Aeron Adams led Bullitt East’s ground game with 5- yards and a touchdown on seven carries.  Travis Egan completed seven of 14 passes for 89 yards.  Aeron Adams completed four of eight passes for 27 yards.  Daniel Gilbert caught four passes for 45 yards.  Daniel Davis caught two passes for 24 yards.  Cameron Brogan and Daniel Gilbert returned kickoffs for 30 and 23 yards respectively.  Ethan Taipalus led the defense with five solo and one assisted tackles.  Travis Egan and Tyler Frakes each recorded four solo tackles.

Simon Kenton snapped a two game losing streak against Highlands to earn a 27-14 victory against the Bluebirds.  Simon Kenton recorded 19 first downs and 390 yards of total offense.  The Pioneers were penalized seven times for 55 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.  Highlands recorded 22 first downs and 345 yards of total offense.  The Bluebirds were penalized 11 times for 80 yards and lost a fumble.

Jayden Lawson led Simon Kenton’s ground game with 103 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries.  Chase Crone carried the ball 18 times for 38 yards.  Chase Crone completed 16 of 32 passes for 253 yards and one touchdown with one interception.  Trey Little caught five passes for 133 yards and a touchdown.  Marcus Courtney added three receptions for 37 yards.  Kody Sims returned two kickoffs for 45 yards.  Nate Walker led the defense with six solo and two assisted tackles.  Joe Vormbrock added five solo and two assisted tackles with 4.5 of his tackles resulting in losses. Brennon Miller recorded five solo and one assisted tackles.

Charlie Noon led Highland’s ground game with 122 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries.  Mason South carried the ball eight times for 31 yards.  Jake Fahlbusch completed seven of 13 passes for 94 yards and a touchdown.  Charlie Noon completed six of 11 passes for 63 yards.  Jack Cavanaugh caught two passes for 56 yards.  Dominic Robinson added four receptions for 42 yards and Brennan Kelsey chipped in with three receptions for 35 yards.  Mason South added a six yard touchdown reception.  William Hartman returned one kickoff for 16 yards.  Dominic Robinson intercepted a pass.

Bryan Station had lost the last two meetings against Scott County and had given up a total of over 100 points combined in these two losses.  Tonight was a different story as Scott County eked out a 7-6 victory over the Defenders as the big play came as Campton Martin blocked a Bryan Station extra point attempt..  Scott County recorded 12 first downs and 198 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized seven times for 40 yards, lost a fumble and had a pass intercepted.  Bryan Station recorded seven first downs and 138 yards of total offense.  The Defenders were penalized six times for 79 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Montago Jones led Scott County’s ground attack with 134 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries.  Campton Martin carried the ball five times for 28 yards.  Zane Patton completed two of eight passes for 10 yards with one interception.  Jaxson Saylor caught one pass for 11 yards.  Jeremy Hamilton returned one kickoff for 35 yards.  Andrew Wilhite led the defense with six solo and one assisted tackles.  Elijah Adams added five solo tackles.  Isaac Krebs recorded three solo and one assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 18 yards.  Campton Martin added three solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted two passes he returned for a total of 51 yards.

Joseph Bond led Bryan Station’s ground game with 103 yards on nine carries.  Amodeus Taylor carried the ball 13 times for 28 yards and one touchdown.  Terik Mulder completed six of 13 passes for 35 yards with two interceptions.  Carl Mundford caught five passes for 29 yards.  Damin Green returned two punts for 45 yards with a long return of 25 yards.  Y. Sledge led the defense with nine solo tackles.  Amodeus Taylor added six solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards.  Damin Green recorded five solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards.  A. Jenkins added three solo tackles and intercepted a pass he returned for 46 yards.  Giovanni Watson recovered a fumble.
