Covington Catholic rolled up 428 yards of total offense in a 35-14 victory over Kings tonight. Covington Catholic recorded 24 first downs and 428 yards of total offense. The Colonels were penalized nine times for 85 yards and had a pass intercepted. Kings recorded 16 first downs and 247 yards of total offense. The Knights were penalized eight times for 70 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Casey McGinness led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 94 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries. Grant Dyer carried the ball six times for 45 yards. AJ Mayer completed 20 of 32 passes for 262 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. Casey McGinness caught five passes for 29 yards. Jack Coldiron added five receptions for 84 yards and a touchdown. Kameron Butler recorded three receptions for 26 yards. Malachi Pike caught two passes for 20 yards and a touchdown. Michael Mayer added two receptions for 44 yards. Luke Lenihan added two receptions for 52 yards and a touchdown.

Nak’emon Williams led Kings ground game with 53 yards on 16 carries. Ashton Koller carried the ball 12 times for 43 yards. Ty Stylski carried the ball seven times for 38 yards. Ashton Koller completed 10 of 20 passes for 101 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Jacob Elam caught six passes for 37 yards and a touchdown. Justin Wise added two receptions for 16 yards. Tommy Bauman caught one pass for 20 yards. Hunter Jessee added one reception for 28 yards.

Lafayette recorded 12 first downs and 282 yards of total offense. The Generals were penalized 13 times for 145 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Jefferson Harkless led Douglass’ ground game with 74 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries. Montaveon Bean carried the ball 11 times for 63 yards and a touchdown. Montaveon Bean completed 12 of 26 passes for 110 yards. Gavin Bugg completed two of three passes for 51 yards and a touchdown. Micah Lowe caught four passes for 71 yards and a touchdown. Haiden Hunt added four receptions for 24 yards. Dekel Crowdus added three passes for 31 yards. Haiden Hunt returned two kickoffs for 74 yards with a long return of 46 yards. Anderson County defeated Valley tonight by a score of 20-0. The Bearcats utilized the running of Blake Franklin (213 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries) and an aggressive defense that held Valley to a minus 7 yards on the ground to earn the victory tonight. Anderson County recorded 13 first downs and 228 yards of total offense. They were penalized 10 times for 100 yards and lost three fumbles. Valley recorded five first downs and 52 yards of total offense. They were penalized 12 times for 111 yards.

Blake Franklin led Anderson County’s ground game with 213 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries. Zach Labhart carried the ball 12 times for 42 yards. Jagger Gillis was zero of one in the passing department. Austin Watts led the defense with seven solo and three assisted tackles with 3.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards. Joe Taylor added five solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an eight yard loss. Justin Wilhoit recorded four solo and two assisted tackles. Moeller defeated Scott County 38-28 in an exciting game between two football powers. Moeller recorded 20 first downs and 493 yards of total offense. They were penalized three times for 24 yards and did not lose any turnovers. Scott County recorded 22 first downs and 469 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized five times for 49 yards and lost two fumbles.

C. Watkins led Moeller’s ground game with 138 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries. Miles McBride carried the ball 13 times for 114 yards. Miles McBride completed 14 of 18 passes for 241 yards and four touchdowns. Bryan White caught five passes for 98 yards and two touchdowns. Jack McCracken added four receptions for 51 yards and a touchdown. Eric Wills recorded two receptions for 40 yards and a touchdown. Bryan White returned four kickoffs for 91 yards including a long return of 34 yards. Robert Jones led the defense with eight solo and five assisted tackles and lost a fumble. William Hodge added nine solo and one assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.

Brice Fryman led Scott County’s ground game with 187 yards on 16 carries. Payton Brown carried the ball 10 times for 46 yards and a touchdown. Austin Barnett added 38 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. Josh Davis completed 10 of 14 passes for 181 yards and two touchdowns. Glenn Covington caught nine passes for 140 yards and two touchdowns. Bryan Hudson led the defense with seven solo and four assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards. Berk Watts added six solo and six assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards. Cooper Watts recorded six solo and two assisted tackles.

Lexington Christian Academy raced out to a 38-7 lead at halftime but Lexington Catholic closed the deficit to eight; 38-30 in the third quarter before LCA pulled away for a 56-36 victory. The two teams combined for 92 points and 1010 yards of total offense. Lexington Christian Academy recorded 21 first downs and 560 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized four times for 30 yards and lost a fumble. Lexington Catholic recorded 19 first downs and 450 yards of total offense. The Knights were penalized nine times for 79 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.

Logan Nieves led Lexington Christian Academy’s ground game with 177 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries. Dillon Wheatley carried the ball 28 times for 147 yards and two touchdowns. Drayden Burton carried the ball once for 68 yards and a touchdown. Logan Nieves completed 12 of 17 passes for 160 yards and one touchdown. Drayden Burton caught four passes for 57 yards. Caelan Lebryk added three receptions for 50 yards. Dearious Smith caught two passes for 20 yards and a touchdown. Drayden Burton returned two kickoffs for 46 yards. Kaleb Bolton led the defense with nine solo tackles with two of his losses resulting in losses totaling eight yards. Blane Hardin added six solo tackles. Jonathan Kaufman recorded five solo tackles. Jed Green intercepted a pass and Chris Zaccarelli recovered a fumble.

Dameon Jones led Lexington Catholic’s ground attack with 153 yards on 20 carries. Beau Allen Completed 18 of 32 passes for 356 yards and four touchdowns with one interception. Nathan Schnurr caught six passes for 87 yards and a touchdown. Trenton Neuer added four receptions for 59 yards. Luke Powell recorded three receptions for 146 yards and a touchdown. Dameon Jones added three receptions for 57 yards and a touchdown. Gavin Cameron caught two passes for seven yards and a touchdown. Clay Callahan led the defense with eight solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a five yard loss. Dylan Coulter added six solo and four assisted tackles. Henry Holthaus recorded seven solo and one assisted tackles. Brennan Emmett chipped in with six solo and one assisted tackles. Gavin Cameron recovered a fumble.

Anderson County survived a late rally by Anderson County to earn a 21-19 victory. Mercer County scored a touchdown with 17 seconds remaining on the clock but failed on the two point conversion attempt for the tie. Anderson County recorded 18 first downs and 310 yards of total offense. The Bearcats were penalized eight times for 62 yards and had a pass intercepted. Mercer County recorded 10 first downs and 284 yards of total offense. The Titans were penalized five times for 32 yards and lost two fumbles.

Zach Labhart led Anderson County’s ground game with 109 yards and one touchdown. Blake Franklin carried the ball 18 times for 99 yards and a touchdown. Jagger Gillis completed two of six passes for 40 yards with one interception. Zach Labhart caught one pass for 25 yards. Blake Franklin returned two kickoffs for 45 yards. RJ Boies and Aaron Chilton led the defense with three solo tackles each. Austin Watts added two solo and one assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards. Blake Franklin recorded one solo tackles and scored on an 88 yard fumble recovery return.

Jackson Lewis led Mercer County’s ground attack with 96 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. Gunnar Gillis completed 11 of 20 passes for 181 yards and two touchdowns. Jackson Lewis caught five passes for 84 yards and a touchdown. K. Drakeford added three receptions for 45 yards. Jon Jon Logue recorded two receptions for 38 yards. Trevon Faulkner caught a 14 yard touchdown pass. Jackson Lewis returned one kickoff for 38 yards. Lewis returned two punts for 41 yards with a long return of 30 yards. Trevon Faulkner led the defense with 10 solo and three assisted tackles and intercepted one pass he returned for 18 yards. Jason Miller added six solo and six assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards.
