Adidas Kickoff Classic

Tates Creek High School

Tates Creek took an early 7-0 lead and never looked back in a 48-0 victory over Henry Clay.  The first Tates Creek touchdown was set up by a recovery of a Henry Clay fumble on a punt return.  Henry Clay showed a spark as Tyree Clark returned a kickoff for an apparent touchdown but the score was nullified by a penalty and it was all Tates Creek after that.  Tates Creek recorded 19 first downs and 363 yards of total offense.  The Commodores were penalized five times for 45 yards and did not have any turnovers.  Henry Clay recorded 10 first downs and 149 yards of total offense.  The Blue Devils were penalized nine times for 58 yards, lost two fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.

Laron Warner led Tates Creek’s ground attack with 92 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries.  Marcus Bosley carried the ball 10 times for 62 yards.  Cameron Workman completed nine of 13 passes for 114 yards and two touchdowns.  Luke Duby completed four of five passes for 82 yards and two touchdowns.  Mason Gentry caught three passes for 63 yards and a touchdown.  Devonta Clay added two receptions for 52 yards and a touchdown.  Jaden Baird caught two passes for 26 yards.  Laron Warner and Miles Thomas each caught a touchdown pass.  Teonte White led the defense with seven solo and two assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 29 yards.  Hayden Gant added five solo and one assisted tackles.  Jaden Baird recorded five solo tackles and scored on a 16 yard fumble recovery return.  Cam Stewart chipped in with four solo and three assisted tackles.  Zachery Brown also recovered a fumble and Darryl Bell Jr. and Willie McGhee each intercepted a pass.

Isaiah Adkins led Henry Clay’s ground game with 59 yards on five carries.  Darrin Van Horn completed nine of 11 passes for 81 yards with one interception.  Ramond Jackson caught four passes for 30 yards.  Langston Jackson caught one pass for 22 yards.  Tyree Clarke returned four kickoffs for 100 yards with a long return of 43 yards.  Langston Jackson led the defense with six solo tackles.  Avery Benton added five solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a nine yard loss.  Jordan Kimball recorded four solo and two assisted tackles.

2017 LOUISVILLE GIRLS’ FALL SHOWCASE

Attention Players and Coaches,

The 4th Annual High Potential Blue-Chip Fall Showcase will take place once again this fall on September 23rd (Saturday) at Bullitt Central High School in Shepherdsville, KY, just 17 miles south of Louisville, between 9 AM and 6:30 PM (EDT).

Players who are either wanting to broaden their college scholarship offers, get noticed by college recruiters or simply just wanting to improve their game against quality competition as they prepare for the 2017-18 season should consider attending. Over 500 select college coaches nationwide will be invited to attend.

I will do a showcase report that will feature each player and will be emailed to over 500 select colleges across America after the event as well as being posted on my web page which will be available to every college coach in America. Ron Harrison of www.kyprephoops.com will be doing pre and post showcase blogs. Harrison has over 5,000,000 hits on his web site and many college coaches follow his blog religiously. I likewise will be doing pre and post showcase blogs.

I have been in the scouting and event profession since 1973. I serve on the selection committee for the Naismith Committee which selects the High School Player of the Year, High School All-American Teams and the High School Coach of the Year for both boys and girls. I do national and regional player rankings which are found at my web page, www.basketball-camp.net, along with a daily blog on high school basketball.

Over 35,000 players over the years have attended my events, many of whom became McDonald’s All-Americans, Mr and Miss Basketballs and all-state players. Over 25 former staff members went on to become head coaches at the Division I level.

College recruiters consider me as their best sixth man since scouts cannot be everywhere at once (there are over 20,000 high schools in the United States). Budget and staff cuts also curtail college coaches from getting out as much as they would like. I have seen over 10,000 high school games and travelled almost 500,000 miles over the years.

The vast majority of the state high school athletic associations allow their female student-athletes to attend basketball events the weekend of September 23-24.

Remember, if you are flying under the radar screens of college recruiters, then the High Potential Blue Chip Showcase is the place to be on September 23rd.  Hope to see you at Bullitt Central High School in Shepherdsville, KY. You won’t regret it.

Click either on the below online-registration form or printable form to register. The cost is only $95.00. Upon receiving your registration form, I will either email or mail you confirmation.

Sincerely,

Rick Bolus
Showcase Director
