Eastern Kentucky University gained a much needed victory with a 31-16 victory over Southeast Missouri tonight.  The Colonels only allowed one touchdown to the Redhawks tonight and got another big performance from QB Bennie Coney who threw for 337 yards and four touchdowns.  Eastern Kentucky recorded 26 first downs and 527 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized nine times for 75 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.  Southeast Missouri recorded 14 first downs and 392 yards of total offense.  The Redhawks were penalized 10 times for 80 yards and lost two fumbles.

Ethan Thomas led Eastern Kentucky’s ground game with 92 yards on 20 carries.  Henry Enyenihi carried the ball 19 times for 66 yards.  Bennie Coney completed 23 of 37 passes for 337 yards and four touchdowns with one interception.  Devin Borders caught seven passes for 119 yards and three touchdowns.  Ryan Markush added four receptions for 57 yards.  Dan Crimmins caught three passes for 57 yards.  Cameron Fogle recorded three receptions for 41 yards and a touchdown.  Kiante Northington led the defense with seven solo and two assisted tackles.  Jared Tucker added six solo and one assisted tackles.  Corey Glass recorded three solo and four assisted tackles.

Will Young led Southeast Missouri’s ground game with 81 yards on eight carries.  Jesse Hosket completed 24 of 41 passes for 291 yards and a touchdown.  Tremane McCullough caught eight passes for 103 yards.  Adrian Davis added five receptions for 48 yards.  Kristian Wilkerson caught three passes for 67 yards and a touchdown.  Marquette Murdock added three receptions for 44 yards.  Cameron Sanders returned four kickoffs for 109 yards with a long return of 41 yards.  Roper Garrett led the defense with four solo and eight assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss and intercepted a pass he returned for 22 yards.  Mike Ford added nine solo and two assisted tackles.  Terrance Hill recorded five solo and four assisted tackles.  Chad Meredith added three solo and five assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards.

Anderson County only scored 10 points tonight but made it hold up in a 10-7 victory over Woodford County.  Dalton Wells kicked a 22 yard field goal with 4:51 remaining in the first half to give Anderson County what proved to be the winning points.  Anderson County recorded nine first downs and 174 yards of total offense.  The Bearcats were penalized four times for 40 yards and had a pass intercepted.  Woodford County recorded 14 first downs and 231 yards of total offense.  The Yellow Jackets were penalized seven times for 54 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Blake Franklin led Anderson County’s ground game with 79 yards on 17 carries.  Tyler Peters carried the ball eight times for 33 yards.  RJ Boies recorded 30 yards and a touchdown on six carries.  Tyler Peters completed two of seven passes for 40 yards with one interception.  Blake Franklin caught a pass for 22 yards.  John Paul Garmon added one reception for 18 yards.  RJ Boies led the defense with four solo and seven assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards.  Andrew Chilton added three solo and eight assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards.  Braxton Basic recorded 11 assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards.  Andrew Lykens added two solo and seven assisted tackles and Bryndon Labhart chipped in with two solo and six assisted tackles.  Blake Franklin intercepted a pass.

Ben Bruckner led Woodford County’s ground game with 63 yards on 14 carries.  Dwayne Deep carried the ball four times for 25 yards.  Ryan Duke completed nine of 21 passes for 82 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  Malik Richards caught eight passes for 70 yards and a touchdown.  Domynik Johnson led the defense with five solo and three assisted tackles.  Jaylan Washington added four solo and four assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards.  Graham Kain intercepted a pass.

Lexington Christian Academy continues to roll with a 49-6 victory over Middlesboro.  LCA’s defense held Middlesboro to 16 yards on 21 rushing attempts and five first downs for the game.  LCA recorded 18 first downs and 413 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized three times for 35 yards and did not commit any turnovers tonight.  Middlesboro recorded five first down and 13 yards of total offense.  They were penalized four times for 35 yards and lost a fumble.

Dillon Wheatley led LCA’s ground game with 176 yards and four touchdowns on 13 carries.  Logan Nieves carried the ball four times for 35 yards.  Drayden Burton carried the ball once for 25 yards and a touchdown.  Brayden Miller completed five of 10 passes for 84 yards and a touchdown.  Logan Nieves completed five of six passes for 81 yards and a touchdown.   Caelan Lebryk caught three passes for 67 yards and a touchdown.  Wade Drake caught a 51 yard touchdown pass.  Brett Wilkins led the defense with three solo and five assisted tackles.  Clay Elliot added three solo and four assisted tackles.

Ethan Allison led Middlesboro’s ground game with 13 yards on nine carries.  Rhyan Rogers completed two of three passes for 79 yards and a touchdown.  Chase Elliott completed two of seven passes for 29 yards.  Anthony Jackson caught two passes for 99 yards and a touchdown.  Evan Brock led the defense with six solo and two assisted tackles.  Taylor McClelland added five solo and two assisted tackles.  Sebastian Wagoner recorded four solo and one assisted tackles.

Lexington Catholic defeated Western Hills by a score of 41-7.  Lexington Catholic recorded 14 first downs and 281 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized eight times for 64 yards.  Western Hills recorded nine first downs and 162 yards of total offense.  The Wolverines were penalized six times for 44 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Dameon Jones led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 72 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.  Kirk Fagot carried the ball five times for 24 yards.  Skyler Goeing added 20 yards on four carries.  Beau Allen completed nine of 11 passes for 145 yards and three touchdowns.  Kirk Fagot completed three of three passes for 51 yards and one touchdown.  Dameon Jones caught four passes for 87 yards and three touchdowns.  Jack Fagot added two receptions for 45 yards and a touchdown.  Eric Sottile returned two punts for 59 yards including a touchdown return of 55 yards.  Cameron Coulter led the defense with three solo and one assisted tackles.  Carson Duffey added three solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards.  Will Roden recorded two solo and two assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards.  Sid Sharp recovered a fumble and Brock Hudgins and Jake Topley each intercepted a pass.

Evan Hanus led Western Hills ground game with 40 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.  J. Youngblood carried the ball 11 times for 38 yards.  Thurman Seals added 28 yards on six carries.  J. Youngblood completed four of 14 passes for 36 yards with two interceptions.  Trevor James caught three passes for 27 yards.  C. Gonzalez led the defense with four solo and one assisted tackles.  C. Lafayette raced out to a 33-0 first quarter lead on their way to a 43-0 victory over George Rogers Clark.  Lafayette recorded 15 first downs and 372 yards of total offense.  The Generals were penalized nine times for 115 yards and lost two fumbles.  George Rogers Clark recorded 10 first downs and 78 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized four times for 40 yards, lost three fumbles, and intercepted a pass.

Walker Wood led Lafayette’s ground game with 39 yards and a touchdown on three carries.  Cameron Morgan carried the ball twice for 38 yards and two touchdowns.  Walker Wood completed 12 of 19 passes for 289 yards and two touchdowns.  Quinten Brown caught three passes for 135 yards and a touchdown.  Teandre Newcome added two receptions for 47 yards.  Noah Phillips caught two passes for 28 yards and a touchdown.  Ean Shaw led the defense with three solo and two assisted tackles.  Bryan Jackson added three solo and one assisted tackles.  Dezmon Simpson recorded three solo tackles and recovered a fumble he returned six yards for a touchdown.  Brendan Lane added two solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 19 yards and recovered a fumble he returned 20 yards.  Dezmon Black intercepted a pass.

DeMikale Knowles led GRC’s ground game with 58 yards on 16 carries.  Pierce Nisbet completed nine of 21 passes for 61 yards.  Jehdon Jenkins caught three passes for 41 yards.  Chandler Gray added three receptions for 18 yards.  Nitavius Thomas led the defense with four solo and one assisted tackles.  Trevon Jones added three solo and one assisted tackles.  Austin Blair recorded three solo tackles and recovered a fumble.  Gabe Williams added two solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 13 yard loss.

Scott County defeated Henry Clay by a score of 56-7 tonight.  Scott County recorded 27 first downs and 480 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized three times for 20 yards.  Henry Clay recorded six first downs and 174 yards of total offense.  The Blue Devils were penalized five times for 47 yards and had four passes intercepted.

Brice Fryman led Scott County’s ground game with 93 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries.  Kendrick Hamilton carried the ball 14 times for 85 yards and two touchdowns.  Caleb Demus added 71 yards on nine carries.  Jacob Burton carried the ball eight times for 58 yards.  Glenn Covington added 34 yards and a touchdown on two carries.  Josh Davis completed two of five passes for 65 yards and a touchdown.  Glenn Covington caught two passes for 65 yards and a touchdown.  Clay Moss led the defense with three solo and three assisted tackles.  Cooper Robb added three solo and one assisted tackles.  KJ Christopher recorded three solo tackles.  Cooper Robb, KJ Christopher, Sam Sutton, and Kendrick Hamilton each intercepted a pass.

Franklin County rolled up 615 yards of total offense in a 48-35 victory over Spencer County tonight.  Spencer County led 35-34 with 7:43 left in the game but Dalton Landrum threw two touchdown passes in the last 5:45 of the game to give Franklin County the victory.  Franklin County recorded 24 first downs and 615 yards of total offense.  The Flyers had a balanced offense tonight with 385 yards on the ground and 230 yards through the air.  They were penalized nine times for 87 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.  Spencer County recorded 18 first downs and 482 yards of total offense.  They were penalized three times for 37 yards and lost a fumble.

Denzel Vance led Franklin County’s ground game with 214 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries.  Jerimiah Green carried the ball three times for 70 yards and a touchdown.  Dalton Landrum added 46 yards and a touchdown on six carries.  Tre Simmons carried the ball seven times for 44 yards.  Dalton Landrum completed 21 of 29 passes for 225 yards and three touchdowns with one interception.  Cody Lofton caught eight passes for 95 yards.  Jerimiah Green added five receptions for 45 yards and a touchdown.  Tre Simmons caught four passes for 63 yards and a touchdown.  Denzel Vance added a four yard touchdown reception.  Mark Dixon led the defense with seven solo tackles.  Tre Simmons added six solo and two assisted tackles.  Korleone Bailey recorded six solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards.  Chad Holleran also recorded six solo and one assisted tackles.  Dalton Landrum recorded three solo tackles and recovered a fumble.

Branden Leff led Spencer County’s ground game with 344 yards and three touchdowns on 27 carries.  Kaden Smith carried the ball 11 times for 62 yards and two touchdowns.  Cole DeRudder completed two of seven passes for 44 yards.  Kaden Smith caught two passes for 44 yards.  Alex Smith led the defense with eight solo and two assisted tackles.  Kaden Smith added seven solo and one assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  Hunter Brown recorded six solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards.  Kiante Downs added five solo and one assisted tackles.  D. Wakefield recorded three solo tackles and intercepted a pass.

Bryan Station threw for three touchdowns, ran for three touchdowns, and added two touchdowns on interception returns in a 54-20 over Dunbar.  Bryan Station recorded 17 first downs and 436 yards of total offense.  The Defenders were penalized eight times for 57 yards and lost two fumbles.  Paul Laurence Dunbar recorded 20 first downs and 369 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs were penalized 11 times for 101 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Chris Jones led Bryan Station’s ground game with 193 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries.  Jalen Burbage carried the ball seven times for 39 yards.  Maliq Trigg added 38 yards and a touchdown on two carries.  Jalen Burbage completed 10 of 23 passes for 147 yards and three touchdowns.  Chris Jones caught three passes for 32 yards.  Kendrick Curry added two receptions for 42 yards and two touchdowns.  Micah Love caught a 15 yard touchdown pass.  W. Madison Central defeated Tates Creek 50-14 in a game that was expected to be a close contest.  Madison Central improved to 6-1 and recorded 13 first downs and 381 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized six times for 48 yards.  Tates Creek recorded 11 first downs and 268 yards of total offense.  The Commodores were penalized three times for 30 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Jabari Huguely led Madison Central’s ground game with 88 yards on nine carries.  Jaylin Powell carried the ball four times for 65 yards and a touchdown.  Zach Hardin was on target all night as he completed 10 of 13 passes for 195 yards and four touchdowns.  Keenan Miller caught four passes for 93 yards and three touchdowns.  Ethan Hahn added three receptions for 43 yards.  Jaylin Powell caught one pass for 35 yards.  Christian Everly added a 23 yard touchdown reception.  Keenan Miller returned one kickoff 54 yards for a touchdown.  Landon White kicked off nine times for a 57.9 average with seven touchbacks.  KJ Long led the defense with five solo and four assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards and intercepted a pass he returned 14 yards.  Elijah Haskins added five solo and two assisted tackles with three pass break ups.  Daniel Baker recorded one solo and four assisted tackles.  Tristan Moorehead added one solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an 11 yard loss and intercepted a pass he returned for 53 yards for a touchdown.
