Dennis Oxendine scored on a 13 yard run and Jake Ryan kicked the extra point with 3:54 left in the game to give Tates Creek a 21-14 victory over Corbin.  Tates Creek utilized their team speed and made a couple of key defensive stops to earn the victory.  Tates Creek took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter on a 69 yard run by Dennis Oxendine and the conversion kick by Jake Ryan.  Corbin threatened in the second quarter as they were fourth-and-goal from the Tates Creek two yard line but Austin Yates stopped Matthew Jewell at the one yard line.  Corbin threatened again late in the second quarter after Brian Nantz ran 35 yards to the Tates Creek 13 but Martavius Carter forced a fumble and R.J. Taylor recovered at the 13.  Tates Creek mounted their own drive and scored on an 18 yard pass from Graham Gordon to Tavon Dunn on the last play of the quarter.  Jake Ryan kicked the extra point to give Tates Creek a 14-0 lead at the intermission.

Corbin came out in the second half and utilizing their patented brand of smash mouth football went on a 13 play 63 yard scoring drive that took almost seven minutes.  Matthew Jewell scored on a one yard  run and Cai Jackson kicked the extra point to make the score 14-7.  Corbin went on another long scoring drive (16 plays for 80 yards) that ended with a Taylor Waddle two yard run and a Cai Jackson kick with 5:50 left in the game to tie the game at 14-14.  Corbin was penalized 15 yards for a personal foul on the ensuing kickoff to give Tates Creek the ball on the Corbin 39.  Dennis Oxendine scored on a 13 yard run and Jake Ryan kicked the extra point to give Tates Creek the lead.  Corbin had two more opportunities but were unable to mount a serious scoring threat and Tates Creek claimed a hard earned victory.
