Scott County defeated Lafayette tonight by a score of 47-20.  Lafayette scored on the last play of the game on an 87 yard pass play.  Scott County was 0-3 after their first three games but has won six in a row and appears to be peaking at the right time.  Scott County recorded 16 first downs and 403 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized three times for 25 yards and lost a fumble.  Lafayette recorded nine first downs and 228 yards of total offense.  The Generals were penalized five times for 25 yards.

The Scott County ground attack was led by Marcus Hill with 124 yards and one touchdown on 20 carries.  Ben Lawler completed seven of 11 passes for 168 yards and a touchdown.  James Happy caught four passes for 98 yards and a touchdown.  Josh Walls had two receptions for 40 yards.  The Cardinal defense did an excellent job tonight keeping the high octane Lafayette aerial game in check.  Jordan Kindred led the defense with two solo and four assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totalling 11 yards.  Josh Walls added three solo and one assisted tackles.  Jay Willmott kicked off eight times for an average of 58.6 yards with six touchbacks.

Marlon Johnson led Lafayette’s ground game with 57 yards on six carries.  Bubba Johnson carried the ball nine times for 54 yards and a touchdown.  Matt Britt completed seven of 21 passes for 57 yards and a touchdown.  Jeremy Smith completed his only attempted pass for 87 yards and a touchdown.  Marlon Johnson caught three passes for 104 yards and a touchdown.  Justin Carr led the defense with six solo and six assisted tackles.  Trey Benson added six solo and three assisted tackles.  Kyle Irvin recorded one solo and 10 assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totalling 12 yards.

Lexington Catholic led 42-7 after three quarters on their way to a 42-26 victory over West Jessamine.  QB Kyle Bolin thew for four touchdowns, ran for another score and punted the ball four times for a 44.0 average for the victors.  Lexington Catholic recorded 16 first downs and 449 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized 11 times for 154 yards, lost four fumbles, and had one pass intercepted.  West Jessamine recorded 10 first downs and 285 yards of total offense.  The Colts were penalized 14 times for 104 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Kyle Bolin led the Lexington Catholic ground game with 73 yards and a touchdown on six carries.  Bolin completed 20 of 27 passes for 307 yards and four touchdowns with one interception.  Adam Bush caught eight passes for 119 yards and two touchdowns.  Anthony Kersey added two receptions for 54 yards and two touchdowns.  Jordan Artrip led the defense with six solo and four assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totalling 12 yards.  Mich. Vogelsang added five solo and four assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totalling 16 yards.  Mike Lynch recorded five solo tackles, one assisted tackle, and intercepted two passes.

Matt Carbol led West Jessamine’s ground game with 58 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries.  Carbol completed 15 of 27 passes for 211 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions.  Blake Davis caught four passes for 56 yards.  Will Knight added three receptions for 63 yards.  Sean Donaldson caught a 58 yard TD pass.  Hunter Knuckles led the defense with seven solo tackles.  Sean Donaldson added six solo tackles and recovered a fumble.  Robbie Irgang and Ethan Darby each recorded five solo tackles.  Irgang added a fumble recovery and Darby intercepted a pass.

Henry Clay pulled away in the second half to defeat Tates Creek by a score of 85-52.  The Blue Devils led 29-22 at halftime but outscored Tates Creek 28-6 in the third quarter.  Tates Creek was plagued by turnovers tonight (four interceptions) and hampered by injuries on both sides of the ball.  Henry Clay has tremendous team speed and has the ability to light up the scoreboard on any given night.

Henry Clay recorded 28 first downs and 480 yards of total offense.  The Blue Devils were penalized seven times for 55 yards.  Tates Creek recorded 19 first times and 410 yards of total offense.  The Commodores were penalized five times for 53 yards and had four passes intercepted.

Vinny Miller led Henry Clay’s ground game with 159 yards and four touchdowns on 21 carries.  Bo Brooks carried the ball 16 times for 114 yards.  Vinny Miller completed nine of 15 passes for 145 yards and two touchdowns.  Blake Green caught five passes for 51 yards and a touchdown.  Carwell Gardner caught three passes for 93 yards and a touchdown.  Sean Bryant led the defense with six solo and two assisted tackles.  Charles McCarty added five solo and two assisted tackles.  Ryan Duzyk was credited with two interceptions with 78 return yards.  Jerry Williams intercepted one pass and returned it 51 yards for a touchdown.  Vinny Miller also scored on an 86 yard kickoff return.

Jontez Jones led Tates Creek’s ground game with 94 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries.  Martrell Berry carried the ball 10 times for 92 yards.  Martrell Berry completed 12 of 26 passes for 160 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Will Sweet caught four passes for 36 yards.  Austin Crutcher added two receptions for 55 yards.  Aubrey Lewis caught two passes for 35 yards and a touchdown.  Martrell Berry scored on a 75 yard kickoff return and Jontez Jones added a 92 yard kickoff return for a touchdown.  William Hardin led Tates Creek’s offense with six solo and two assisted tackles.  Josh Bassoni added five solo and two assisted tackles.

Seth Carmichael threw four TD passes in the final quarter to erase a 37-10 deficit and lead Anderson County to a 38-37 victory over South Oldham.  This was a game of runs as Anderson County led 10-7 at halftime.  South Oldham roared back in the third quarter fueled by two touchdowns scored by the defense and a safety to take a 37-10 lead entering the final period.  However Anderson County scored 28 unanswered points in the final quarter to earn the victory.

Anderson County recorded 29 first downs and 467 yards of total offense.  The Bearcats were penalized six times for 75 yards, lost two fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.  South Oldham recorded 16 first downs and 343 yards of total offense.  They were penalized nine times for 106 yards and lost three fumbles.

Seth Carmichael led Anderson County’s ground game with 91 yards on 16 carries.  Carmichael completed 24 of 33 passes for 297 yards and four touchdowns with two interceptions.  Matt Sprague caught seven passes for 76 yards and a touchdown.  Neal Wells added five receptions for 64 yards.  Ethan Kelly caught two passes for 80 yards and a touchdown.  B. Curtsinger added three receptions for 25 yards and two touchdowns. Seth Carmichael led the defense with eight solo tackles.  Todd Dewoody added four solo and four assisted tackles.

Steward Williams led South Oldham’s ground game with 59 yards on seven carries.  Jack Sherry added 42 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.  Jack Sherry completed seven of 10 passes for 95 yards.  Jacob Lane caught four passes for 75 yards and a touchdown.  Cody Kollenberg led the defense with seven solo and one assisted tackles.  Jacob Lane added six solo and three assisted tackles.  Jared Good recorded three solo tackles, seven assisted tackles, and scored on a 37 yard interception return.  Reid Gilson scored on a 13 yard fumble recovery return.

Clark County took advantage of four Tates Creek turnovers and utilized the running of FB Mason Jones to defeat Tataes Creek by a score of 27-12.  Two Tates Creek fumbles in the first half led to touchdowns by Clark County.  The old injury bug hit Tates Creek again tonight as one of their top defenders Jonathon Meadors left early in the game with an injury.

Clark County recorded 19 first downs and 372 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized 13 times for 128 yards.  Tates Creek recorded 16 first downs and 235 yards of total offense.  The Commodores were penalized six times for 50 yards, lost two fumbles, and had two passes ntercepted.

Mason Jones led Clark County’s ground game with 138 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries.  Pokey Harris carried the ball 11 times for 55 yards.  Andrew Dini completed nine of 13 passes for 123 yards and one touchdown.  Darius Skinner caught three passes for 63 yards.  Corey Rogers added three receptions for 35 yards and a touchdown.  Mason Jones led the defense with four solo and six assisted tackles.  Reid Campbell added three solo and six assisted tackles including 2.5 tackles resulting in losses totalling 20 yards.

Jontez Jones led Tates Creek’s ground game with 132 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries.  Brandon Shrout carried the ball 10 times for 56 yards and a touchdown.  Dee Christopher completed five of nine passes for 49 yards with an interception.  Austin Crutcher and Martrell Berry each caught a pass for 20 and 17 yards respectively.  Jasir Rayyan led the defense with four solo and three assisted tackles.  Dennis Oxendine added four solo and two assisted tackles.  Tadar. Jemison recorded three solo and four assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totalling 23 yards.

QB Matt Britt threw three touchdown passes to Tanner Napier in Lafayette’s 35-25 victory over Bryan Station.  The Generals took a 28-0 lead early in the third quarter but Bryan Station rallied to pull close late in the game before Lafayette added an insurance TD.  Lafayette recorded 19 first downs nad 386 yards of total offense.  The Generals were penalized five times for 98 yards. Lost two fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.  Bryan Station recorded 20 first downs and 412 yards of total offense.  The Defenders were penalized three times for 35 yards, lost two fumbles, and had three passes intercepted.

Bubba Johnson led Lafayette’s ground game with 82 yards on 15 carries.  Matt Britt completed 11 of 23 passes for 256 yards and four touchdowns with two interceptions.  Tanner Napier caught six passes for 180 yards and three touchdowns.  Andy Hampton led the defense with seven solo and four assisted tackles.  David Kenner added four solo and seven assisted tackles.  Jalen Stith intercepted two passes.  Marlon Johnson intercepted one pass and scored a touchdown on a 77 yard fumble recovery return.

Loran Smith led Bryan Station’s ground game with 79 yards on 19 carries.  Loran Smith completed 11 of 20 passes for 211 yards and a touchdown with three interceptions.  Tyriq Roberts caught five passes for 144 yards and a touchdown.  Everett Talbert led the defense with two solo and eight assisted tackles.  Elijah Burdette added three solo and two assisted tackles.  Jaysuma Webb scored on a 25 yard interception return.
