2009 KY Elite National Prep Classic

May 23-24, 2009 Kentucky Basketball Academy Lexington KY - This invitational round robin brings together some of the best young basketball players in the countries. Most of these players will be in the 7th and 8th grades next season. This two day event featured more than forty games and I will attempt to give a brief capsule report of all the games on this blog to be followed up later with a complete writeup of the event.
May 23rd
KY Gymrats 72 Indy Ice 2 38 - Ryan Dishman led the victors with 19 points including three three point baskets. Justin Edwards, Adam Isaacs, and Devin Griffith added 18, 15, and 11 points respectively. Jordan Martin led Indy Ice 2 with 10 points.
KY Elite 51 Cincinnati Lakers 40 - Charles "Snoop" Johnson and Jackson Davis led KY Elite with 15 and 11 points respectively. Eric Eichler led the Lakers with 15 points.
Indy Blaze 50 Southeast Elite 49 - Trey Lyles and T.J. Henderson led Indy Blaze with 15 and 10 points respectively. Jacob Parker and Robert Steele led Southeast Elite with 12 and 10 points respectively.
Central KY Tigers 62 KY Retro 30 - Zac Baxter and Sidney Hugle led the Tigers with 16 and 10 points respectively. Malyiek McCray and Michael Nero led KY Retro with six and five points respectively.
Southern Kings 66 Scott County Cardinals 60 - Keith Pinckney led the Kings with 21 points including three three point baskets. Keon Douglas added 10 points. Jalen Haddix and Dylan Portwood led Scott County with 13 and 12 points respectively.
Friars Blue Storm/Dayton Heat 60 Louisville Legends 54 - Juan Ford, JaMachel Blanton, and Zach McCormick led the victors with 13, 11, and 10 points respectively. Kelan Martin and Craig Owens led the Legends with 16 and 13 points respectively.
Indy Ice 60 GA Fastbreak 39 - LaSalle Thompson led Indy Ice with 20 points including three three point baskets. C.J. Coleman added 11 points. Morris Clyde Lewis led GA Fastbreak with 13 points.
Scott County Cardinals 59 Team 3 one 7 58 - Jalen Haddix and Zach Humphrey led the Cardinals with 16 and 12 points respectively. Timmy Anderson and Jaymar Taylor led Team 3 one 7 with 12 and 11 points respectively.
KY Gymrats 57 KY Retro 22 - Ryan Dishman led the Gymrats with 14 points including three three point baskets. Justin Edwards and Zane Burkhart added 12 and 10 points respectively. Brandon Horn led KY Retro with nine points.
Friars Blue Storm/Dayton Heat 59 GA Fastbreak 53 - Juan Ford, Zach McCormick, and Austin Taylor led the victors with 15, 14, and 10 points respectively. Justin Jefferson and Andrew Jiminez led GA Fastbreak with 19 and 10 points respectively.
Indy Ice 55 Southeast Elite 42 - LaSalle Thompson led Indy Ice with 25 points including three three point baskets. C.J. Coleman added 13 points including three three point baskets. Jacob Parker and Robert Steele led Southeast Elite with 11 points each.
Alabama Gold 57 Indy Ice 2 35 - Justin Pratt and Jaalen Jones led Alabama Gold with 10 and nine points respectively. Emil Belmontes and Justin Sheplock led Indy Ice 2 with 10 and seven points respectively.
KY Elite 86 Fieldhouse Elite Hoopmatics 40 - Teddy Ware led KY Elite with 26 points including six three point baskets. Charles "Snoop" Johnson, Dylan Portwood, and Bryce Byrd added 14, 12, and 10 points respectively. Tyler Scott and Jacob Wunder led Hoopmatics with 11 and 10 points respectively.
Cincinnati Lakers 70 Team 3 one 7 54 - Eric Eichler and Robert Caldwell led the Lakers with 19 and 13 points respectively. Nick Rogers and Jaymar Taylor led Team 3 one 7 with 13 and 11 points respectively.
Alabama Gold 58 Central KY Tigers 55 - Michael Morton, Justin Pratt, and Jaalen Jones led Alabama Gold with 15, 14, and 11 points respectively. Paul Price II and David Holloway led the Tigers with 15 and 13 points respectively.
Louisville Legends 71 Indy Blaze 70 - DeAngelo Russell, Antonio McDaniels, Kelan Martin, and Craig Owens led the Legends with 21, 17, 14, and 12 points respectively. Russell recorded three three point baskets. Tyler Jenkins, Mickey Jones, Justin Baker, and Trey Lyles led Indy Blaze with 15, 13, 12, and 10 points respectively.
Southern Kings 80 Team 3 one 7 55 - Keith Pinckney led the Southern Kings with 20 points. Jaymar Taylor and Terrell May led Team 3 one 7 with 10 and nine points respectively.

Cincinnati Lakers 65 Fieldhouse Elite Hoopmatics 39 - Jeff Larkin, Robert Caldwell, and Ricardo Hill led the Lakers with 14, 14, and 11 points respectively. Jacob Wunder and Tyler Scott led Hoopmatics with 14 and 10 points respectively.

Fieldhouse Elite Hoopmatics 63 Alabama Gold 48 - Tyler Scott, Jacob Wunder, and Kortland Townsend led Hoopmatics with 18, 14, and 13 points respectively. Jordan Wright, Mitchell Baldwin, and Michael Morton led Alabama Gold with 12, 10, and 10 points respectively.
Southeast Elite 72 Team 3 one 7 66 - Johnny Komara led the victors with 12 points including three three point baskets. E.J. Turner added 11 points. Timmy Anderson and Nick Rogers led Team 3 one 7 with 19 and 18 points respectively. Rogers and Anderson recorded four and three three point baskets respectively.

Indy Ice 61 Scott County Cardinals 39 - Justin Brent, Michael Sollman, and LaSalle Thompson led Indy Ice with 15, 11, and 11 points respectively. Andrew Short and Zach Humphrey led Scott County with 11 and 10 points respectively.
Friars Blue Storm/Dayton Heat 69 KY Elite 53 - Will Green, JaMachel Blanton, and Ryan Frey led the victors with 18, 15, and 13 points respectively. Jackson Davis and Dylan Portwood led KY Elite with 12 points each.
GA Fastbreak 52 Louisville Legends 50 - Jonathan Twine hit a three point basket at the buzzer to give GA Fastbreak the victory. Justin Jefferson and Morris Clyde Lewis led the victors with 18 and 10 points respectively. DeAngelo Russell led the Legends with 15 points including three three point baskets. Craig Owens and Kelan Martin added 12 and 11 points respectively.
Indy Blaze 59 Southern Kings 47 - Trey Lyles and Tyler Jenkins led Indy Blaze with 17 and 10 points respectively. Larenz Griggs and Jalyn Patterson led Southern Kings with 15 and 12 points respectively.

Indy Ice 2 80 Central KY Warriors 53 - Jordan Martin and Emil Belmontes led the victors with 26 and 21 points respectively. Thomas Knowles and Malik Barnett added 12 and 10 points respectively. Wright and Dukes led the Warriors with 11 and 10 points respectively.
Cincinnati Lakers 56 Scott County Cardinals 55 - Robert Caldwell led the Lakers with 28 points including four three point baskets. Mike Barwick added 11 points. Dylan Portwood, Zach Humphrey, and Jakevo Edwards led the Cardinals with 17, 16, and 10 points respectively.
Central KY Tigers 58 KY Gymrats 29 - Zac Baxter and Damien Harris led the Tigers with 12 and 10 points respectively. Cory Stearns led the Gymrats with 10 points.
Team 3 one 7 65 Fieldhouse Elite Hoopmatics 46 - Timmy Anderson, Jaymar Taylor, and Gabe Leschot led the victors with 17, 13, and 10 points respectively. Tyler Scott led Hoopmatics with 23 points.
Southeast Elite 47 Louisville Legends 42 - Robert Steele and Jacob Parker led Southeast Elite with 10 points each. Kelan Martin led the Legends with 13 points.
Friars Blue Storm/Dayton Heat 56 Southeast Elite 45 - Juan Ford, Will Green, and Zach McCormick led the victors with 15, 10, and 10 points respectively. Divorce Milbry and E.J. Turner led Southeast Elite with 14 points each.
Louisville Legends 52 Scott County Cardinals 45 - Craig Owens and Kelan Martin led the victors with 17 and 10 points respectively. Zach Humphrey and Andrew Short led the Cardinals with 21 and 10 points respectively.

KY Gymrats 63 Fieldhouse Elite Hoopmatics 60 - Ryan Dishman hit a three point basket at the buzzer to give KY Gymrats the victory. Dishman led the victors with 23 points including five three point baskets. Justin Edwards added 14 points. Tyler Scott led Hoopmatics with 25 points.
Indy Ice 63 Friars Blue Storm/Dayton Heat 57 - LaSalle Thompson led Indy Ice with 17 points. Will Green and Juan Ford led Friars/Heat with 21 and 13 points respectively.
GA Fastbreak 67 Southeast Elite 62 - Morris Clyde Lewis, Justin Jefferson, Jonathan Twine, and Andrew Jiminez led the victors with 16, 15, 12, and 11 points respectively. Tony Reynolds led Southeast Elite with 12 points on four three point baskets. Will Brewster and E.J. Turner added 10 points each.
