Paul VI vs. Link Academy (Boys) March 30th

Paul VI coach Glenn Farello started the following lineup: 6-8 Jr. Isaiah Abraham, 6-6 Jr. Darren Harris, 6-10 Jr. Patrick Ngongba, 5-10 Jr. Ben Hammond, and 6-5 Sr. Deshawn Harris-Smith. Link Academy coach Bill Armstrong countered with 6-8 Sr. Corey Chest Jr., 6-5 Sr. Cameron Carr, 6-9 Jr. Tyler McKinley, 6-1 Jr. Elliot Cadeau, and 6-5 Sr. Jakobe Walter.

Link Academy defeated Paul VI by the score of 68-65. Paul VI had one last chance for the tie but Deshawn Harris-Smith’s follow up three point attempt in the closing seconds, failed to connect. The score was tied five times and there were four ties in this game. Link Academy shot 42.3% from the field including six of 19 from the three point line. The Lions connected on 18 of 23 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 13 Paul VI turnovers. Paul VI shot 41.2% from the field including eight of 23 from beyond the arc. The Panthers connected on 15 of 21 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored six points off 12 Link Academy turnovers.

Jakobe Walter led Link Academy with 34 points including three three point baskets, 10 of 13 free throws, and six rebounds. Corey Chest Jr. added 10 points and 10 rebounds. 6-8 Sr. Jacolb Cole recorded seven points. Tyler McKinley chipped in with six points and two rebounds. Elliot Cadeau recorded two points, seven rebounds, 14 assists, and three steals.

Deshawn Harris-Smith led Paul VI with 18 points including three three point baskets, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Ben Hammond added 10 points, three rebounds, and four assists. Isaiah Abraham recorded 10 points including two three point baskets, and three rebounds. Patrick Ngongba chipped in with nine points, nine rebounds, and three blocked shots. IMG Academy vs. Prolific Prep (Boys) March 30th

IMG Academy coach Sean McAloon started the following lineup: 6-8 Jr. Khani Rooths, 6-5 Sr. Jamie Kaiser Jr., 6-10 Sr. Jayden Hastings, 6-2 Sr. Jacoi Hutchinson, and 6-4 Sr. Blue Cain. Prolific Prep coach Ryan Bernardi countered with 6-10 Sr. Michael Nwoko, 6-7 Fr. Tyran Stokes, 6-11 Jr. Yves Missi, 6-0 Sr. Trey Green, and 6-1 Sr. Aden Holloway.

IMG Academy defeated Prolific Prep by the score of 66-63. IMG Academy led by 22 late in the third quarter but Prolific Prep’s Aden Holloway hit a three point basket with nine seconds remaining to tied the game at 63-63. IMG Academy’s Blue Cain banked in a three pointer just inside the mid-court line to give the Ascenders the victory. The score was tied twice and there were four lead changes in the game. IMG Academy shot 55.1% from the field including eight of 18 from the three point line. The Ascenders connected on four of 12 from the three point line, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 15 Prolific Prep turnovers. Prolific Prep shot 41.4% from the field including six of 24 from beyond the arc. The Crew connected on nine of 12 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 30 points off 19 IMG Academy turnovers.

Blue Cain led IMG Academy with 21 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, four assists, and two blocked shots. Khani Rooths added 13 points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, and two assists. Jacoi Hutchinson recorded 11 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and four steals. Jamie Kaiser Jr. chipped in with 11 points including three three point baskets, three rebounds, and two steals.

Aden Holloway led Prolific Prep with 21 points including four three point baskets, five of five free throws, three rebounds, two assists, and three steals. Tyran Stokes added 16 points, five rebounds, and five steals. Trey Green recorded 10 points including two three point baskets, two rebounds, five assists, and two steals. Long Island Lutheran coach John Buck countered with 6-9 Jr. Godsdwill Etherene, 6-8 Sr. Jayden Ross, 6-10 Sr. Amdy Ndiaye, 5-11 Sr. Jayden Reid, and 6-4 Jr. VJ Edgecombe.

6-7 Sr. Rayvon Griffith scored on a put back with 10 seconds remaining on the clock to give AZ Compass Prep a 73-71 victory over Long Island Lutheran. There were five ties and one lead change in this game. AZ Compass Prep shot 48.1% from the field including six of 12 from the three point line. The Dragons connected on 15 of 22 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored five points off 10 Long Island Lutheran turnovers. Long Island Lutheran shot 47.9% from the field including five of 16 from beyond the arc. The Crusaders connected on 20 of 29 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 10 AZ Compass turnovers.

6-3 Jr. Terrence Hill Jr. led a balanced AZ Compass Prep scoring attack with 12 points including two three point baskets. Jordan Ross added 11 points, two rebounds, and four assists. Mookie Cook recorded 11 points and two assists. Tru Washington chipped in with nine points, six rebounds, and two assists. 6-7 Sr. Rayvon Griffith added nine points and three rebounds. 6-6 Jr. Marcus Allen recorded eight points including four of four free throws and three rebounds. 6-7 Jr. Pharoah Compton added seven points and three rebounds.

Jayden Ross led Long Island Lutheran with 25 points including two three point baskets, and five rebounds. Jayden Reid added 17 points including two three point baskets, five of six free throws, three rebounds, and nine assists. VJ Edgecombe recorded 13 points, six rebounds, three blocked shots, and two steals. Amdy Ndiaye chipped in with six points and six rebounds.

Montverde Academy coach Kevin Boyle countered with 6-8 So. Cooper Flagg, 6-8 Jr. Derik Queen, 6-9 Sr. Kwame Evans, 6-2 Jr. Curis Givens, and 6-8 Jr. Liam McNeeley.

Scotty Middleton hit a three point basket with 21 seconds left in the game to give Sunrise Christian a 46 -45 lead and Montverde Academy’s Cooper Flagg’s runner for the win rimmed out at the buzzer and Sunrise Christian held on for the victory. There were eight ties and seven lead changes in this game. Sunrise Christian shot 33.3% from the field including eight of 26 from the three point line. The Buffaloes connected on six of eight free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 16 Montverde Academy turnovers. Montverde Academy shot 34.1% from the field including six of 17 from beyond the arc. The Eagles connected on nine of 11 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 13 Sunrise Christian turnovers.

Matas Buzelis led Sunrise Christian with 17 points including four three point baskets, three of four free throws, three rebounds, two assists, and two blocked shots. Scotty Middleton added 12 points including two three point baskets, two rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots. Layden Blocker recorded eight points, five rebounds, two assists, and three steals. John Bol chipped in with six points, six rebounds, and two blocked shots.

Liam McNeeley led Montverde Academy with 13 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, and two steals. Derik Queen added 10 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Long Island Lutheran coach Christiana Raiti countered with 6-2 Jr. Shya Hawkins, 6-1 Fr. Savannah Swords, 6-5 Jr. Kate Koval, 5-9 Jr. Kayleigh Heckel, and 6-0 Jr. Syla Swords.

Long Island Lutheran defeated McDonogh by the score of 76-65. The score was tied five times and there were two lead changes in the game. Long Island Lutheran shot 44.4% from the field including four of 18 from the three point line. The Lady Crusaders connected on 16 of 24 free throws, pulled down 46 rebounds, and scored 11 points off nine McDonogh turnovers. McDonogh shot 36.7% from the field including three of 20 from beyond the arc. The Lady Eagles connected on 16 of 22 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored eight points off 10 Westtown turnovers. Westtown shot 36.7% from the field including eight of 25 from beyond the arc. The Moose connected on seven of nine free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 14 Montverde County turnovers.

Cori Allen led Montverde Academy with 16 points including three three point baskets, and six rebounds. Sahnya Jah added 14 points including 10 of 12 free throws, seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals. The Dragons connected on 23 of 27 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 18 IMG Academy turnovers. IMG Academy shot 48.6% from the field including four of 13 from beyond the arc. Cameron Carr led Link Academy with 18 points including three three point baskets and two rebounds. Elliot Cadeau added 16 points including four three point baskets, 10 assists, and two steals. The Lady Eagles connected on 14 of 18 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 12 Long Island Lutheran turnovers. Long Island Lutheran shot 37% from the field including five of 17 from beyond the arc. The Lady Crusaders connected on nine of 13 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored nine points off 15 Montverde Academy turnovers.

Sahnya Jah led Montverde Academy with 20 points including four of five free throws and two rebounds. Cori Allen added 15 points including three three point baskets, and 11 rebounds. Rusne Augustaine recorded nine points on three three point baskets, two rebounds, and two assists. Mjracle Sheppard chipped in with six points including four of four free throws, four rebounds, six assists, and three steals. 6-4 Jr. Vivian Iwuchukwu added six points and four rebounds.
