Paul Laurence Dunbar vs. Great Crossing (Girls) December 6th @ Great Crossing High School

Paul Laurence Dunbar coach Erik Daniels started the following lineup: 5-9 Fr. Miami King, 5-7 Jr. Justice Biggerstaff, 6-0 Fr. Ava Rankin, 5-0 So. Tatum Golden, and 5-7 8th Grade Ellie Lavey. Great Crossing coach Matt Walls countered with 6-0 Sr. Raegan Barrett, 5-8 Jr. Olivia Tierney, 6-0 So. Kennedy Harrison, 5-7 So. Chapel Brown, and 5-7 Sr. Rachel Smith.

Great Crossing raced out to a 19-3 lead after the first quarter on their way to a 73-15 victory over Paul Laurence Dunbar turnovers. Great Crossing shot 55.6% from the field including six of 11 from the three point line. The Lady Warhawks connected on seven of 12 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 34 points off 26 Paul Laurence Dunbar turnovers. Paul Laurence Dunbar shot 12,5% from the field including one of seven from beyond the arc. The Lady Bulldogs connected on six of 14 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored five points off 11 Great Crossing turnovers.

Olivia Tierney led Great Crossing with 16 points including four three point baskets, two rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Raegan Barrett added 15 points. 5-7 Sr. Kaylee Ray recorded 10 points, three rebounds, and two steals. Kennedy Harrison recorded 10 points and seven rebounds. Chapel Brown chipped in with eight points, five rebounds, three assists, and three steals. 5-4 8th Grade Adrianna Brown added five points, four rebounds, two assists, and four steals. Rachel Smith recorded five points, three rebounds, five assists, and two steals.

Ellie Lavey led Paul Laurence Dunbar with four points and six rebounds. 5-5 Sr. Madison Jones added three points on one three point basket. Ava Rankin recorded three points and two rebounds.

Madison Southern vs. Simon Kenton (Girls) December 6th @ Great Crossing High School

Madison Southern coach Josh Curtis started the following lineup: 5-10 Fr. Laci Sandlin, 5-7 Sr. Jada Carter, 5-11 Sr. Bella Moberly, 5-4 Fr. Hadley French, and 5-7 Sr. Tara Wooten. Simon Kenton coach Brenden Stowers countered with 5-10 Fr. Anna Kelch, 5-7 So. Ava Slusser, 5-10 Sr. Emilee Eggleston, 5-3 8th Grade Brynli Pernell, and 5-5 So. Rylie Flynn.

Madison Southern raced out to a 22-8 lead on their way to a 52-41 victory over Simon Kenton. Madison Southern shot 43.6% from the field including six of 15 from the three point line. The Lady Eagles connected on 12 of 18 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 14 Simon Kenton turnovers. Simon Kenton shot 30% from the field including six of 29 from beyond the arc. The Lady Pioneers connected on five of 10 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored eight points off 23 Madison Southern turnovers.

Hadley French led Madison Southern with 16 points including four three point baskets, four of four free throws, four rebounds, and two steals. 5-5 So. Ashlan Estep added 10 points and four rebounds. 5-8 Sr. Megan Correll recorded eight points on three of three field goals and two of two from the free throw line. Jada Carter chipped in with five points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Laci Sandlin also tallied five points. Bella Moberly added four points and 10 rebounds. Tara Wooten recorded four points, seven rebounds, and four assists.

Brynli Pernell led Simon Kenton with 11 points. Anna Kelch added nine points and two steals. Rylie Flynn recorded eight points including two three point baskets and three rebounds. Emilee Eggleston chipped in with five points and four rebounds.

West Jessamine coach Matt Hikens started the following lineup: 5-10 8th Grade Claire Marshall, 5-4 Jr. Morgan Dowell, 5-11 Fr. Kimberly Johnson, 5-1 Fr. Ariana McLoney, and 5-1 Fr. Isabella Lewis. Woodford County coach Latear Eason countered with 5-7 Jr. Taylor Patterson, 5-4 Fr. Emma Ruby, 5-8 Sr. Haydon Wells, 5-2 So. Katie Pantailono, and 5-4 Fr. Hailee Gordon.

West Jessamine raced out to a 24-4 lead after the first quarter on their way to a 62-16 victory over Woodford County. West Jessamine shot 48.1% from the field including four of 16 from the three point line. The Lady Colts connected on six of 10 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 39 points off 33 Woodford County turnovers. Woodford County shot 20% from the field including one of eight from beyond the arc. The Lady Yellow Jackets connected on five of eight free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored two points off 14 West Jessamine turnovers.

Claire Marshall led West Jessamine with 15 points on seven of eight field goals, one of one free throws, and seven rebounds in 13:51 minutes. 5-1 Fr, Katie Mastin added 13 points, three rebounds, two assists, and four steals. 5-6 So. Maggie Shelton recorded 10 points including five of six free throws. Jr. Ella Bolden chipped in with six points and nine rebounds. Morgan Dowell added six points on two three point baskets, two rebounds, two assists, and three steals. Isabella Lewis recorded six points and six steals.

Emma Ruby led Woodford County with nine points and four rebounds.

Scott County coach Steve Helton countered with 5-8 Sr. Tyra Young, 5-8 So. Allison Mosby, 6-0 Fr. Kierstin Young, 5-7 So. N’mya Summers, and 5-7 So. Maleiyah Moore.

Grant County raced out to a 20-7 first quarter lead on their way to a 64-51 victory over Scott County. Grant County shot 37.5% from the field including six of 19 from the three point line. The Lady Braves connected on 16 of 21 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 18 Scott County turnovers. Scott County shot 38.3% from the field including six of 22 from beyond the arc. The Lady Cardinals connected on nine of 12 from the free throw line, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 12 Grant County turnovers.

Emily Naranjo led Grant County with 23 points including 10 of 11 free throws, eight rebounds, and three steals. Jada Cummins added 14 points including three three point baskets, two rebounds, and six assists. Sarah Scroggins recorded 12 points including five of five free throws, and three assists. Sarah Russell chipped in with six points, nine rebounds, two blocked shots, and two steals.

Allison Mosby led Scott County with 16 points including three three point baskets, five of six free throws, seven rebounds, and two steals. Maleiyah Moore added 13 points including three three point baskets, Tyra Young recorded eight points, seven rebounds, and four assists. N’mya Summers chipped in with eight points and five rebounds.

Madison Southern vs. Great Crossing (Girls) (Semifinal) December 8th @ Great Crossing High School

Madison Southern coach Josh Curtis started the following lineup: 5-5 So. Ashlan Estep, 5-7 Sr. Jada Carter, 5-11 Sr. Bella Moberly, 5-4 Fr. Hadley French, and 5-7 Sr. Tara Wooten. Great Crossing coach Matt Walls countered with 6-0 Sr. Raegan Barrett, 5-8 Jr. Olivia Tierney, 6-0 So. Kennedy Harrison, 5-7 So. Chapel Brown, and 5-7 Sr. Rachel Smith.

Madison Southern outscored Great Crossing 23-18 in the final quarter to earn a 51-48 victory. The score was tied five times and there were nine lead changes in this game. Madison Southern shot 37.2% from the field including four of 13 from the three point line. The Lady Eagles connected on 15 of 18 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored nine points off 18 Great Crossing turnovers. Great Crossing shot 39.5% from the field including four of 13 from beyond the arc. The Lady Warhawks connected on 10 of 10 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 19 Madison Southern turnovers.

Bella Moberly led Madison Southern with 12 points, four rebounds, and four steals. Hadley French added 12 points and four steals. Tara Wooten recorded 10 points including five of six free throws. 5-10 Fr. Laci Sandlin chipped in with seven points, four rebounds, and four steals. Ashlan Estep added six points on two three point baskets, three rebounds, and two assists. Jada Carter pulled down nine rebounds.

Raegan Barrett led Great Crossing with 22 points including seven of 10 from the field and eight of eight from the free throw line, four rebounds, four blocked shots, and two steals. Chapel Brown added eight points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, and three assists. Olivia Tierney recorded eight points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

Grant County defeated West Jessamine by the score of 71-68 in overtime. The score was tied six times and there were five lead changes in this game. Grant County shot 44.6% from the field including seven of 19 from the three point line. The Lady Braves connected on 14 of 20 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 14 West Jessamine turnovers. West Jessamine shot 27.1% from the field including eight of 36 from beyond the arc. The Lady Colts connected on 22 of 29 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 20 Grant County turnovers.

Jada Cummins led Grant County with 20 points including four three point baskets, four rebounds, and three steals. Emily Naranjo added 19 points and 11 rebounds. Sarah Scroggins recorded eight points, eight rebounds, and four assists. 5-6 8th Grade Olivia Ginn chipped in with seven points, two assists, and two steals. 5-7 Sr. Emily Wilcoxen added five points and seven rebounds.

Claire Marshall led West Jessamine with 28 points including 12 of 16 free throws, 18 rebounds, and three steals. Ariana McLoney added 15 points including three three point baskets, three rebounds, six assists, and two steals. 5-1 Fr. Katie Mastin recorded 11 points including three three point baskets and two rebounds. Isabella Lewis chipped in with seven points, four rebounds, and two assists. Ella Bolden added four points, seven rebounds, and two blocked shots.

Great Crossing defeated West Jessamine by the score of 52-47. There were two lead changes and five ties in this game. Great Crossing shot 34.7% from the field including two of seven from the three point line. The Lady Warhawks connected on 16 of 20 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 22 West Jessamine turnovers. West Jessamine shot 28.8% from the field including five of 22 from beyond the arc. The Lady Colts connected on 12 of 25 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 20 Great Crossing turnovers.

Raegan Barrett led Great Crossing with 27 points including 11 of 12 free throws, eight rebounds, three blocked shots, and two steals. Rachel Smith added 11 points and three assists. Kennedy Harrison recorded six points, 13 rebounds, one blocked shot, and four steals.

Claire Marshall led West Jessamine with 20 points, 21 rebounds, four assists, one blocked shot, and seven steals. Ariana McLoney added 17 points including three three point baskets, four of four free throws, and two steals.

Madison Southern vs. Grant County (Girls) (Championship) December 10th @ Great Crossing High School

Madison Southern led 39-15 in the third quarter and held off a late rally by Grant County to earn a 55-47 victory. Madison Southern shot 38.1% from the field including 10 of 22 from the three point line. The Lady Eagles connected on 13 of 24 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 17 Grant County turnovers. Grant County shot 40.4% from the field including four of 13 from beyond the arc. The Lady Braves connected on five of nine free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored seven points off 12 Madison Southern turnovers.

5-10 Fr. Laci Sandlin led Madison Southern with 20 points including six three point baskets and five rebounds. Tara Wooten added 13 points including six of eight free throws, and two rebounds. Ashlan Estep recorded nine points on three three point baskets. Bella Moberly chipped in with eight points and six rebounds. Jada Carter and 5-8 Sr. Megan Correll each pulled down seven rebounds.

5-6 8th Grade Olivia Ginn led Grant County with 10 points including two three point baskets and two rebounds. Emily Naranjo added eight points and five rebounds. 5-4 So. Skyler Menefee recorded six points and four rebounds. Dakota Rowe chipped in with five points, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
