Scott County coach Steve Helton started the following lineup: 5-10 Fr. Kierstin Young, 5-8 So. Allison Mosby, 5-8 Sr, Tyra Young, 5-6 So. Maleiyah Moore, and 5-7 So. N’mya Summers. Lafayette coach Allison Denton countered with 5-10 So. Tess Nelson, 5-9 So. Belle Combs, 5-10 So. Savannah Simpson, 5-5 Fr. Anna Clay Denton, and 5-5 Sr. Gracyn Grantz.
Lafayette defeated Scott County by the score of 73-39. Lafayette shot 40.3% from the field including six of 19 from the three point line. The Lady Generals connected on nine of 14 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 18 Scott County turnovers. Scott County shot 26.5% from the field including eight of 26 from beyond the arc. The Lady Cardinals connected on five of 12 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored nine points off 12 Lafayette turnovers.
Anna Clay Denton led a balanced Lafayette scoring attack with 14 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Tess Nelson added 12 points and nine rebounds. Gracyn Grantz recorded 12 points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Belle Combs added 11 points and 11 rebounds. Savannah Simpson recorded 10 points, nine rebounds, four assists, three blocks, and two steals.
Maleiyah Moore led Scott County with 20 poits including five three point baskets. Tyra Young added six points, nine rebounds, and two assists. Kierstin Young recorded five points, five rebounds, and four assists.
