World Select Team coach Roy Rana started the following lineup: 6-7 MacKenzie Mgbako, 6-9 Leonard Miller, 7-0 Vincent Iwuchukwu, 6-4 Tyrese Proctor, and 6-3 Jean Montero. USA Junior National Select coach Joe Mantegna countered with 6-6 Dariq Whitehead, 6-8 Dillon Mitchell, 7-1 Dereck Lively II, 6-4 Amari Bailey, and 6-4 Keyonte George.
Team USA trailed World Select 26-23 after the first quarter but outscored the visitors 28-19 in the second quarter to take control on their way to a 102-80 victory in this showcase event. Team USA shot 51.9% from the field including 11 of 21 from the three point line. They connected on 11 of 18 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and committed 16 turnovers. Team World shot 38.7% from the field including seven of 27 from beyond the arc. They connected on 15 of 20 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and committed 18 turnovers.
6-6 Cam Whitmore led Team USA with 19 points on seven of eight from the field including two of three from beyond the arc, and three of four from the free throw line. Dariq Whitehead added 17 points including five three point baskets, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals. 7-0 Kel’el Ware recorded 11 points and five rebounds. Amari Bailey chipped in with 10 points, five rebounds, and four assists. 6-4 Nick Smith Jr. also scored 10 points. Dillon Mitchell added six points, eight rebounds, and four assists.
Jean Montero led World Select with 23 points including four three point baskets, and five of six free throws. 6-8 Omaha Biliew added 12 points and six rebounds. Leonard Miller recorded 11 points, five rebounds, two assists, and two blocked shots. Vincent Iwuchukwu chipped in with nine points and six rebounds.
