Great Crossing vs. Oldham County (Boys)

Great Crossing coach Steve Page started the following lineup: 6-5 Fr. Vince Dawson, 6-6 So. Jeremiah Godfrey, 6-10 Fr. Malachi Moreno, 5-9 Fr. Junius Burrell, and 6-3 Sr. Tye Schureman.  Oldham County coach Coy Zerhusen countered with 6-7 Sr. Sam Powell, 6-3 Sr. Cooper Rousch, 6-10 Sr. Hayden Burgess, 6-2 Sr. Kenton Slechter, and 6-3 So. Max Green.

 

Great Crossing defeated Oldham County by the score of 67-58.  Great Crossing shot 45% from the field including two of nine from the three point line.  The Warhawks connected on 11 of 17 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 12 Oldham County turnovers.  Oldham County shot 37.7% from the field including seven of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on 11 of 17 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored seven points off 12 Great Crossing turnovers.

 

Vince Dawson led Great Crossing with 19 points, six rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  5-10 Sr. Carson Walls added 17 points, four rebounds, and three assists.  Malachi Moreno recorded 15 points, 22 rebounds, and 10 blocked shots.  Tye Schureman chipped in with nine points.

 

Max Green led Oldham County with 20 points including five three point baskets.  Sam Powell added 13 points including two three point baskets and six rebounds.  Hayden Burgess recorded 10 points, four rebounds, and three blocked shots.
