Scott County defeated Frederick Douglass tonight by a score of 55-21.  Scott County recorded 27 first downs and 567 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized five times for 67 yards.  Frederick Douglass recorded 17 first downs and 305 yards of total offense.  The Broncos were penalized eight times for 93 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

Austin Barnett led Scott County’s ground game with 124 yards and four touchdowns on 26 carries.  Brice Fryman carried the ball 12 times for 102 yards and a touchdown.  Payton Brown recorded 64 yards on six carries.  Josh Davis completed eight of 11 passes for 188 yards and two touchdowns.  Glenn Covington caught five passes for 96 yards.  Brice Fryman added two receptions for 58 yards and two touchdowns.  Payton Brown caught one pass for 34 yards.  Berk Watts led the defense with seven solo tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 27 yards.  Cooper Robb added four solo and one assisted tackles.  Glenn Covington recorded three solo tackles, forced a fumble, recovered a fumble, and intercepted a pass.

Montaveon Bean led Douglass’ ground game with 78 yards on 11 carries.  Jefferson Harkless carried the ball seven times for 42 yards.  Montaveon Bean completed 11 of 24 passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Micah Lowe caught four passes for 61 yards and a touchdown.  Maliq Trigg added four receptions for 60 yards and a touchdown.  Haiden Hunt returned three kickoffs for 136 yards including a 94 yard return for a touchdown.  Dekel Crowdus returned four kickoffs for 73 yards with a long return of 21 yards.  Zee Overton led the defense with six solo and one assisted tackles.  Romel Croley added five solo and three assisted tackles.  Devin Neal added five solo tackles.
