Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Lindsey Johns, 5-10 Sr. Charity Mack, 6-0 Sr. Mallie Cornett, 5-5 Jr. Bailee Vanover, and 5-8 Sr. Kasi Schneid. Franklin County coach Joey Thacker countered with 5-9 Sr. Princess Stewart, 5-8 Sr. Savannah Courtney, 5-11 Sr. Rebecca Cook, 5-4 8th Grade Brooklynn Miles, and 5-6 Jr. Kindall Talley.
Franklin County controlled the boards tonight on their way to a 60-41 victory over Madison Central. Franklin County shot 32.8% from the field including six of 26 from the three point line. Franklin County attempted 28 more shots (64-36) from the field than Madison Central. The Lady Flyers connected on 12 of 13 free throws, pulled down 46 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 15 Madison Central turnovers. Madison central shot 38.9% from the field including four of 11 from beyond the arc. The Lady Indians connected on nine of 15 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored 11 points off nine Franklin County turnovers. Madison Central was outrebounded 27-6 on the offensive boards.
Princess Stewart led Franklin County with 20 points including four three point baskets and nine rebounds. Rebecca Cook added 13 points, 12 rebounds, and three assists. Kindall Talley chipped in with nine points including seven of eight free throws, four rebounds, and three assists. Savannah Courtney recorded eight points and 10 rebounds.
Lindsey Johns led Madison Central with 13 points including two three point baskets. Mallie Cornett added eight points, three rebounds, seven blocked shots, and two steals. Charity Mack recorded eight points, four rebounds, six assists, and three steals. Kasi Schneid chipped in with seven points and six rebounds. Bailee Vanover added five points and three rebounds.
