Eastern Kentucky University coach Dan McHale started the following lineup: 6-7 Jr. Zach Charles, 6-4 Sr. Jaylen Babb-Harrison, 6-9 So. Nick Mayo, 5-11 Fr. Asante Gist, and 6-0 Jr. Dillon Avare.  Texas Tech coach Chris Beard countered with 6-8 Jr. Zach Smith, 6-8 Sr. Aaron Ross, 6-8 Gr. Anthony Livingston, 6-2 Jr. Shadell Millinghaus, and 6-3 Jr. Keenan Evans.

 

Eastern Kentucky led by 15 in the first half and the score was tied 57-57 with 12:57 left in the game but Texas Tech pulled away for a 90-71 victory.  Texas Tech shot 59.2% from the field including seven of 11 from the three point line.  The Raiders connected on 25 of 30 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 10 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 36.8% from the field including 12 of 25 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on 17 of 19 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 10 Texas tech turnovers.

 

Shadell Millinghaus led a balanced Texas Tech scoring attack with 20 points and seven rebounds.  6-6 Jr. Justin Gray added 17 points, six rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Aaron Ross recorded 16 points including 10 of 10 free throws and three assists.  Anthony Livingston chipped in with 11 points and six rebounds.  6-3 Jr. Keenan Evans also reached double figures with 10 points.

 

Asante Gist led Eastern Kentucky with 21 points including five three point baskets and three assists.  Jaylen Babb-Harrison added 14 points including four three point baskets and five rebounds.  Zach Charles recorded 13 points and seven rebounds.  Nick Mayo also scored 13 points.
