Lafayette coach Mike Mendenhall III started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. Lucky Jackson, 5-10 Jr. Jaelin Jenkins, 6-6 Jr. Ross Jenkins, 5-10 So. Jajuante Carpenter, and 6-0 Jr. Harrison Lane. Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown countered with 6-3 Sr. Colby Barnes, 6-1 Jr. Isaiah Tisdale, 6-5 Jr. Jordan Houston, 5-9 Sr. Dakhari Campbell, and 6-0 Sr. Felix Wilson.
Henry Clay raced out to a 15-3 lead over Lafayette but Lafayette staged a comeback to defeat Henry Clay 69-60 in overtime. Henry Clay still maintained a 45-39 lead after three quarters. Lafayette shot 34.8% from the field including four of 14 from the three point line. The Generals connected on 19 of 26 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 34 points off 27 Henry Clay turnovers. Henry Clay shot 43.2% from the field including six of 15 from beyond the arc. The Blue Devils connected on 16 of 23 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored five points off 13 Lafayette turnovers.
Ross Jenkins led Lafayette with 27 points, 16 rebounds, and five blocked shots. 5-9 Jr. TJ Downey added 21 points including four three point baskets. Harrison Lane chipped in with nine points and Lucky Jackson recorded six points and seven rebounds.
Isaiah Tisdale led Henry Clay with 20 points, four rebounds, and five assists. Dakhari Campbell and Felix Wilson added 12 and 10 points respectively. Jordan Houston pulled down eight rebounds.
