Fleming County  vs.  West Jessamine (Boys)

Fleming County coach Mark Starnes started the following lineup: 6-4 Jr. Troy Steward, 6-1 Jr. Brady Saunders, 6-4 Sr. Cameron Scott, 6-0 Jr. Austin Crisp, and 5-11 Jr. Darion Burns.  West Jessamine coach Damon Kelley countered with 6-4 Sr. Chase Fain, 6-3 Jr. Daulton Peters, 6-3 So. Dalton Crouse, 6-0 Jr. Will Henderson, and 5-3 So. Rashawn Jackson.

Fleming County defeated West Jessamine by a score of 77-68.  Fleming County shot 54% from the field including seven of 22 from the three point line.  The Panthers connected on 16 of 24 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 13 West Jessamine turnovers.  West Jessamine shot 46.3% from the field including eight of 24 from beyond the arc.  The Colts connected on 10 of 14 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 13 points off eight Fleming County turnovers.

Darion Burns led Fleming County with 26 points, five assists, and three steals.  Burns was 10 of 15 from the field including one of three from the three point line and five of eight from the free throw line.  Troy Steward added 20 points and five rebounds. 

Will Henderson led West Jessamine with 21 points including four three point baskets and dished out seven assists.  Daulton Peters added 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Fleming County (77) – Steward 20, Saunders 7, Scott 2, Crisp 9, Burns 26, McKee 8, McAdams 5.

 

West Jessamine (68) – Fain 8, Peters 17, Crouse 2, Henderson 21, Jackson 6, Irgang 4, Holifield 5, Adkins 5.
