South Laurel coach Konnie Snyder started the following lineup: 6-1 Sr. Morgan Johnson, 5-8 So. Cassandra Johnson, 6-1 So. Taylor Arthur, 5-7 Jr. Macy Clontz, and 6-2 Sr. Erika Burchett.  Lexington Catholic coach Chelsea Chowning countered with 6-0 Jr. Alex Botkin, 5-10 Jr. Emily Johns, 6-0 Jr. Elizabeth Walton, 5-4 So. Sarah Cawood, and 5-7 Jr. Bonnie Rhule.

Lexington Catholic eked out a 38-32 victory over South Laurel in which both teams shot below 30% from the field.  Lexington Catholic shot 29.7% from the field including two of five from the three point line.  The Lady Knights connected on 14 of 19 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 23 South Laurel turnovers.  South Laurel shot 23.5% from the field including two of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Cardinals connected on six of nine free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored four points off 18 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

5-8 So. Octavia Wilson led Lexington Catholic with 12 points.  Alex Botkin added nine points, seven rebounds, and six steals.

Taylor Arthur and 5-8 Sr. Andi House led South Laurel with seven points each.  Erika Burchett added five points and 10 rebounds while Morgan Johnson recorded five points and nine rebounds.
