Anderson County coach Tony Kays started the following lineup: 6-0 So. Kali Whiteside, 5-9 Sr. Caroline McDowell, 6-3 Jr. Sydney Brown, 5-3 Fr. Destiny Stewart, and 5-10 Fr. Makenzie Cann. (Note: 5-10 Fr. Eriel McKee was unable to play tonight due to illness).  Lafayette coach Allison Denton countered with 5-7 Jr. Emily Justice, 5-7 Sr. Mackenzie Graham, 6-1 Sr. Shomari Kendrick, 5-7 Jr. Aleisha Stiltner, and 5-3 Sr. Jariana Gillespie.

Anderson County defeated Lafayette tonight by a score of 51-46.  Anderson County erased an early 9-2 deficit to take a 34-24 halftime lead.  The Lady Bearcats shot a blistering 64% from the field in the first half.  Lafayette rallied to close the deficit to 43-40 at the end of three quarters.  Lafayette cut the deficit to one; 43-42 early in the fourth quarter but could not overtake Anderson County.

Anderson County shot 51.2% from the field including three of 10 from the three point line.  The Lady Bearcats connected on four of five free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 15 Lafayette turnovers.  Lafayette shot 37.5% from the field including four of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Generals connected on six of seven free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 14 Anderson County turnovers.

Mackenzie Cann led the victors with 16 points, five rebounds, five assists, and three steals.  Caroline McDowell added 14 points, five rebounds, four assists, and four steals.

Shomari Kendrick led Lafayette with 18 points, eight rebounds, and four steals.  Emily Justice added 11 including three three point baskets.
