Mason County (12-4) vs. Henry Clay (12-7) Boys

Lexington KY January 23rd - Mason County defeated Henry Clay by a score of 54-44.  Henry Clay led 26-22 at halftime but Mason County outscored the Blue Devils 18-7 in the third quarter to take control of the game.  Mason County held a 40-26 advantage in rebounds and a 17-8 margin in second chance points.

Mason County shot 52.2% from the field including only one of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Royals connected on only five of 17 free throws and scored six points off six Henry Clay turnovers.  Henry Clay shot 31.5% from the field including four of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Blue Devils connected on six of six free throws and scored 15 points off 14 Mason County turnovers.

6-8 So. Treg Setty led Mason County with 18 points and 11 rebounds.  6-4 Sr. Russ Middleton added 14 points and five rebounds.  6-2 So. Neal Pawsat recorded eight points and eight points.  6-0 Sr. Prince Stewart led Henry Clay with 11 points.  Stewart's first basket of the evening allowed him to join the 1,000 point club as a Blue Devil.  6-4 So. Daniel Kiesling added 10 points and five rebounds.
