Scott County (12-3) vs. Paul Dunbar (10-3) (Boys)

Lexington KY January 20th - Scott County trailed 33-31 at halftime but pulled away in the final quarter to defeat Paul Dunbar by a score of 83-66.  The Cardinals only shot 30.3% in the first half but shot a blistering 65.6% in the secomd half.

Scott County shot 47.7% from the field including four of 14 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 17 of 25 free throws, pulled down 52 rebounds and scored eight points off 12 Dunbar turnovers.  Paul Dunbar shot 37.5% from the field including only three of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Bulldogs connected on nine of 13 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 15 Scott County turnovers.

6-8 Sr. Richie Phares led Scott County with 21 points and 11 rebounds.  6-2 Jr. Ge-Lawn Guyn added 20 points.  6-8 Jr. Dakotah Euton chipped in with 14 points including three three point baskets and 14 rebounds.  6-4 Jr. Chad Jackson recorded 13 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists.  6-8 Sr. Tyler Rogers led Paul Dunbar with 30 points and 15 rebounds.  5-11  Sr. Nick Hudson added 15 points.  6-6 Jr. Bryce With chipped in with 12 points and five rebounds.
