Scott County (11-3) vs. Bryan Station (13-2) (Boys)

Lexington KY January 16

Scott County roared out of the gate early to take a 25-8 first quarter lead on their way to an 87-60 victory over Bryan Station in a battle of 11th Region powers.  Scott County shot 48.6% from the field including six of 10 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 11 of 20 free throws, pulled down 51 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 22 Bryan Station turnovers.  Bryan Station shot 34.4% from the field including six of 21 from beyond the arc.  The Defenders connected on 10 of 18 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 18 Scott County turnovers.

6-8 Sr. Richie Phares led the Cardinals with 25 points and eight rebounds despite only logging 18:53 of playing time due to a bad fall he received under the basket.  6-2 Jr. Ge-Lawn Guyn added 21 points with a stat line that showed nine of 10 shots including both his three point attempts and one of three free throws.  6-8 Jr. Dakotah Euton recorded 19 points including three three point baskets and 11 rebounds.  6-4 Jr. Chad Jackson chipped in with 10 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, and six steals.

6-2 Sr. Cameron Richardson led Bryan Station with 19 points including four three point baskets and eight rebounds.  6-2 Sr. Charles Ashford added 14 points and eight rebounds.
