Elizabethtown (14-2) vs. Lincoln County (14-3) (Girls)

Elizabethtown captured a close one from Lincoln County by a score of 51-46.  Lincoln County trailed by one; 35-34 entering the final quarter.  The Lady Panthers outscored Lincoln County 16-12 in the final quarter.

Elizabethtown shot 42.9% from the field including two of seven from the three point line.  The Lady Panthers connected on 19 of 26 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 17 Lincoln County turnovers.  Lincoln County shot 35.9% from the field including nine of 21 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Patriots connected on nine of 18 from the free throw line, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 12 Elizabethtown turnovers.

6-0 Sr. Alex Jones led Elizabethtown with 14 points and nine rebounds. 5-11 Sr. Jasmine Deaderick added 13 points.  5-8 Sr. Dorian Downs and 5-5 So. Natalie Greenwell chipped in with eight and seven points respectively.  5-9 Jr. Jessica Upchurch led Lincoln County with 13 points including four three point baskets.  6-3 Jr. Kendra Brown added 12 points and seven rebounds.

Congratulations to Natalie Greenwell of Elizabethtown.  Natalie hit her first seven free throws tonight to run her string to 44 in a row that eclipsed the previous consecutive record of 39.
