USING AN INDICATOR ON YOUR BRIDGEPORT TO
KEEP TRACK OF Y AND Z POSITION

Use an indicator and mag base as shown below to keep track of saddle and knee positions if you don't have a DRO. Put the mag base on the way in front of the saddle, with the point on the saddle, or above the knee, with the point on the top way of the knee. This works well, and the mag base can be moved out of the way if necessary.
Someday the pics will be of the indicator actually ON a Bridgeport.
