Is the
end in sight?
Hard as it is to imagine, the Middle East conflict recently took
a turn for the worse as Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said that
the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and Palestine Liberation Organization
(PLO) were in a state of war. The violence has escalated as Israel
seized nearly all major cities in the West Bank and other Palestinian
areas. Mediators remain hopeful that the violence cannot continue
much longer.

Recipients of the 2001-2002 student and faculty achievement awards
have been chosen and subsequently announced during Chapel, Apr. 3
and Apr. 10, respectively.

The Most Outstanding Faculty Member of the year winner was recently
announced. Pam DiVito-Thomas of the nursing department was the 2002
honoree.

Night scheduled
The date for PRSSA's third annual Wal-Mart Appreciation Night has
been announced. Over $3,000 worth of prizes will be given to ORU students.
