Departments Current Training
As a company hired to assess the current training program for ABC Company, we will examine teaching strategies, course objectives, course assessments, and learning environment. We will be observing training classes, surveying students and instructors, examining materials and course guidelines. The current new hire training that ABC company offers is a simple instructor-led course designed to teach new employees computer systems and company policies and processes. The average class size is 10-15 employees with an average age of 23 years old with two years of post high school education. Most of these employees are entering the workforce for the first time. There are currently two trainers in the Professional Development Department. Both trainers have a combined experience of 13 years in corporate training. The current issue with the training department is that 40% of the employees are leaving the company prior to completing the class. This companies training department has just recently evolved due to explosive growth within the company. Below is our evaluation of the training program.
