CROWN ROYAL BARBERSHOP BRINGS NEW LOOK TO NEW ORLEANS New Orleans, LA (BlackNews.com) - To celebrate entrepreneurial spirit and community involvement, Crown Royal will transform local barbershop Boss Soul Aquarius into the Crown Royal Barbershop April 28 - May 19, as part of a barbershop makeover program sponsored by the brand.

The Crown Royal Barbershop, which debuted in New York City last fall, is a custom-tailored experience designed to celebrate the urban American barbershop. The nearly 2,300 square feet of retail space will be decorated in purple and gold, Crown Royals signature colors, and is open to consumers 21 years and older. Free haircuts will be given on a first come, first serve basis by the shops barbers. On select evenings, Boss Soul Aquarius will host private parties complete with cocktails and entertainment.

"Boss Soul Aquarius does great things to positively impact the sixth ward in New Orleans and we want to support their efforts while reaching the urban trendsetter through new and unique channels," said Michael Fernandez, Senior Multicultural Brand Manager for Crown Royal. "The Crown Royal Barbershop is essentially a way for Crown Royal to give back more than just a party to the community, and also gives consumers a way to get to know Crown Royal through one of their most every day experiences."

"This is unlike any partnership we have been involved with before," said Jafar Balah, co-owner and operator of Boss Soul Aquarius. "The free haircuts will be appreciated by the community and bring in new customers. Our shop is an old, renovated historic home that has been transformed into Boss Soul Aquarius and it will look better than ever thanks to Crown Royal."
