Erik Ian Novoa

Erik is possibly the coolest guy I know and one of the best friends I've ever had. Not only is he incredibly good looking, he's the epitome of the southern gentleman. With him it's always "ladies first", pulling out chairs, giving roses, sharing hugs, planting little kisses on the cheek, and letters just to say hi. He's a great listener and a good friend. I can remember lots of times that he'd stand up for me when I couldn't stand up for myself. He and I spent the summers of 1997 and 1998 together on tour with Northern Lights which meant we were together morning, noon, and night. I've seen him in just about every state from sweating to sleeping and he's seen me the same way. We have spent a lot of time together and no matter what we were going through we've always been there for each other. Unfortunately he's living in North Carolina right now, on a marine base. I miss him a lot, but even though he's thousands of miles away from me, and I haven't seen him in a year, and most likely will be lucky if I see him at all in the coming year, I still think of him as one of my closest, most cherished friends. And if anyone's out in North Carolina, go ask around camp Lejeune for Corporal Novoa and when you find him give him a big hug for me.
