Chapter 5
Lilia waas getting ready for night on the town
with Howie. She looked cute in a simple knee length
black dress and strappy sandal. Howie wouldn't tell
her where they were going to go, only that she would
love it.
At exactly 7pm Howie stolled up to her
door. He had a purple shirton and black pants being
held up by suspenders. Lilia became elated when she
saw him because she could tell by the way he was
dressed that they were going to go swing dancing.
She had always wanted to go swing dancing and
couldn't wait to get her feet on the floor. Howie
rang the doorbell. Lilia tooka deep sigh and then
answered. "Hi," she said in a somewhat sexy voice.
"Well, hello, may I escort you to dinner?" He asked
extending his arm. Lilia paused for a momment
pretending that she was reconsidering their date.
"Yah, I guess," she said finnally.
The two began their date. They went to a Mexican
restaurant that was Howie's absolute favorite. The
proceded to to the classiest and most exciting dance
club she had ever layed eyes on. It was far better
than any dream she could have ever created in her
imagination.
The night went very fast, and both
Howie and Lilia found themselves not wanting it to
end. "So did you enjoy yourself?" Howie asked her
as they approached her front door.
"Yes, I enjoyed
myself much more than I thought I was going too,"
she teased. Howie looked a little hurt by Lilia
statement.
"I'm only kidding, Howie," she assured
him. This perked Howie up a bit.
The two talked on her front porch for a quite
some time, but eventually they exchanged their
goodbyes. Howie even ended the evening with a good
night kiss on her cheek. Whe she got inside to her
rented condo she wanted so much to be happy.
She
was happy, she had a dream job, and she just went
out on a date with one of the world's most desired
young bachelors. But something just wasn't right.
The idea of secretly dating two members of the same
band was all very strange and somewhat disturbing to
her.
Chapter 6
At exactly 10 am the next morning Nick Carter
arrived at Lilia's house. "Hey," she greeted him.
"Hey you, so are you ready for the time of your
life?" He inquired.
"As ready as I'll ever be, you
know I've never been to Disney World. It's always
been a dream of mine to go." Nick was happy that
Lilia chose to spend her dream with him.
"So did you have a good time last night?" Nick
asked as they were driving towards the park.
"Yah
it was a lot of fun, we went dancing and to dinner.
It was great just what I needed."
"Who did you go
with again?" Nick asked realizing that he had no
idea who she had spent the evening with.
"Rita,
she's so cool. Were a lot of like." Lilia felt bad
about lying to Nick, but she wasn't sure what to do.
She didn't think he was ready to hear about her and
Howie, and she wasn't even sure if it was really any
of Nick's buisnes who she was out with at this
momment.
Finnally, after they drove what seemed to be a
very long time, the arrived at the "Magic Kingdom."
Once they were inside the park they went crazy! The
park was better than anything Lilia could cook up in
her imagination. They took pictures with Mickey and
Minnie, they rode almost all the rides, they even
stayed long enought to see the light parade at the
end of the day. "Hey, Lily, I have something for
yah, I got it at the gift shop." Nick said as the
walked out of the park.
"Oh really?" She asked
somewhat surprised. Nick reached into his bag and
pulled out a pair of Mickey Mouse ears with the word
"Lily" engraved on the side. "Oh, Nick, I love it,"
she said trying to hold back the tears that were
forming in her eyes. Nick's faced lit up with a
huge smile.
"Hey, how would you like to go over to
my house we can watch Disney movies or something,"
Nick suggested not really wanting the night to end.
"Sure, it sounds like fun. Do you have the Fox and
the Hound, that's my favorite."
"Yep I do, I have
practically all of them," he told her prouldly.
When the arrived at Nick's house they saw
somebody sitting on the porch, but couldn't tell who
it was. "Probably some fan," Nick said.
"This late
at night?" Lilia asked somewhat frightened by this.
Nick just nodded, as he left the car and walked
closer to the porch they could see that it was
Brian, and he was crying. "Hey, Bri, what's wrong?"
Nick asked taking a seat next to him. "Laurie,
just broke up with me. I mean what's wrong with me
this is the third relationship that I have screwed
up in the last yeart," he said sadly.
Lilia hated
to see Brian being this hard on himself and to do
something to make him feel better. "Listen, Brian,
it's not your fault?"
"What are you doing here?" He
asked just realizing that Lilia was standing there
this whole time.
"Oh we just got back from Disney
World. Listen, Bri, you can't let a girl get you
down like this. You know I'm gonna let you in a
little secret, sometimes girls are not as ready for
relationships as we want people to think we are. A
lot of times we are just as confused as everyone
else is." Brian started to feel a bit better and
wiped the tears from his eyes.
"Look, Nick, why
don't you take me home?" Lilia asked not really
feeling like watching movies at this point. Nick
nodded, and asked Brian if he was going to be okay,
and the two decided to meet in the morning for
breakfast. When they arrived at Lilia's house Nick
walked her up to the door.
"That was really great
what you did for Brian tonight." Nick told her
honestly.
Lilia smiled as what he said. "I'm just
glad I could help a bit, I mean I felt bad just
sitting there and not doing anything to make him
feel any better." Lilia met Nick's blue eyes and
the two exchanged a kiss, but she moved away very
quickly.
"I have to go," she said quickly and with
in seconds she dissappeared from the porch. Tears
of confusion began to pour from her eyes.
