Chapter 3
Lilia and Rita arrived at the bowling alley. When
they went inside they found that Brian and Laurie
were already there, the girls started to approach
the lane but stopped when they realized that the
couple was having an argument. "Brian I thought we
were going to go some place quiet. Not a bowling
alley."
"Listen Laurie, we just need to play a game
or two with the guys and then we can go and do
whatever you want alone, okay?"
"Whatever, I want,"
she said smiling.
"You betcha," he followed his
statement with a small but sincere kiss.
"Awww,
aren't they so cute," Lilia said as she made go-go
eyes.
"When your around the boys as much as I am
you don't think anything is cute anymore," Rita
replied. The two girls laughed and arrived at the
lane.
"Hey, Brian, Laurie," Rita greeted.
"Oh hey,
you two," Brian said smiling.
"Honey, this is the
new dancer I was telling you about, Lilia." Laurie
stood there blankly staring at the wall. She wasn't
mad at Brian, but mad at the fact that he forgot to
mention the dancers were coming along.
"It's very
nice to meet you, Laurie," Lilia said trying to be
friendly.
"Oh, I'm sorry, hon, I'm just tired and
must have zoned out," Laurie said trying hard not
to hide her discontent at the girls arrival. The
four of them became silenced not know what to say.
"Hey you guys what's wrong, I've never seen four
people so quiet in my entire life," Kevin said as he
walked to the lane. After Kevin's arrival everyone
started laughing and getting acquaintecd with
eachother. Soon after AJ, Howie, and Nick arrived.
The group started to bowl and were having a great
time.
"AJ you amaze me, you don't even look and you
still through a perfect ball," Lilia said laughing.
"I'm just like that darlin' one of my many God
given talents," he said flashing his goofy, but cute
smile to Lilia.
"Hey, Lilia it's your turn girl,"
Rita said. Lilia grabbed her ball and began to
approach her pins.
"Hey Lilia," Kevin interupted.
"You ass hole," she said very upset that he messed
up her throw.
"Well I wanted to tell you if you get
a strike for the rest of the game you have a chance
at breaking a hundred."
"Gee, Kevin, thanks for the
information," she said rolling her eyes. She began
her throw again only this time she not only through,
but she got herself a strike as well.
"Yippee,"
Howie cheered awarding her with a bear hug.
"Way to
go Lily!!!" Nick said enthusiastically.
"Lilly!!!"
The whole group exclaimed in unison. Nick blushed
at the reaction. They continued playing and
talking. Everybody was mesmorized by Lilia. She
just had one of those magnetic personalities that
can draw anybody in. After two games everyone was
pretty much ready to go their seperate ways. Rita
and Lilia were making their way to the main doors
when Howie came up from behind them.
"Hey, Lilia
can I talk to you?" He asked. Lilia nodded and
glanced at Rita.
"I'll be waiting in the car," she
said simply.
" Lilia I have something to ask you.
Are you by chance free tommorrow night because I was
thinking perhaps we could go out for dinner or
something."
"Sure, Howie, I'd love too," she
replied cheerfully.
"Okay, I'll call you tommorrow
or wait I'll see you tommorrow at rehearsal," he
said cheerfully.
"You better be there or poor Rita
will be left without a dance partener."
"Oh, I
could never do that to her, see yah!!" He said
walking back towards the lanes. Lilia was so
excited she could hardly sleep a wink all night. She
just couldn't believe that she was actually living
this life, it just didn't seem possible.
Chapter 4
The next day during rehearsal Lilia was pumped. She
may have been tired, but the dance moves were coming
so much easier for her. They were going through the
intermission dances, which were the hardes part of
the show, when the boy, who were late, arrived.
"Sorry, FAtima, we got held up at a photo shoot,"
Kevin explained.
"It's okay boys grab your girls,
we need to run she danced for "Show Me the
Meaning," Fatima ordered. The boys found their
dance parteners, Lilia was with AJ.
"How are you
doin' sweetie?" He asked with a smile.
"Not bad and
yourself?"
"The same," he responded.
The music began, the two of the danced well
together, however Lilia was surprised by the lack of
chemistry between them, but he was a good dancer.
He caught on very easily, unlike Nick and Brian who
found dancing some what of a challenge.
"Okay hold up a sec," Fatima said turning the music
off. "Lilia how tall are you?"
"5'6."
"Oh, that sucks with high heals your gonna be
same heighth as AJ. Why don't you swithch with
Jennifer." Lilia glanced over to find that her knew
dance partener was Nick. She tried to hide her lack
of enthusiasm with a smile. It wasn't that she
didn't like Nick, because she did. She thought he
was absolutly adorable, he just wasn't a great
dancer. They ran the dance several more times and
to her surprise she and Nick had great chemistry.
After rehearsal was over Nick walked Lilia to her
car.
"So, Lily, can I call you that?" He asked with
a laugh.
"Sure, Nick, but only you," she responded
laughing. Nick looked surprised that Lilia was
agreeing and was even happier that they had a
special nick name, just between the two of them.
"So what are you doing tonight, um maybe we can go
out.?"
"Oh, I'm sorry Nick I already have plans for
tonight." She saw the dissappointmen that had come
over Nick's eyes.
"Look, maybe we can go out
tommorrow, were off until the show, so we could
spend the whole day at Disney World or
something."
"Wow, Disney World I haven't been there in years,"
Nick replied excitedly. Nick agreed to pick Lilia up
at about 10 the next morning.
As Lilia was driving home she started to feel a bit guilty about going out with Howie. She liked Howie, but she Nick a lot also. All she could do was pray that it would all work out and end up causing trouble within the group.
