Prologue
Lilia McRae timidly approached Fatima's dance
studio. Fatime is one of the biggest names in the
music buisness, not becuae of her musical ability
but because of her dancing, she is the choreographer
that has worked with the Backstreet Boys and
Aalilyah among others. About two months ago Lilia
was dancing in a play, to help pay for her tuition
to the University of Miami.
After one of the preformances Fatima asked Lilia if she would be
interested in auditioning for her dance company.
Lilia was overjoyed by this, she couldn't believe
that a shy, Irish girl with very little formal dance
training was getting the oppertunity to audition
with a well-respected and acclaimed choerographer
such as Fatima. But, two months later ther she was
standing in a small studio owned by Fatima.
"Lilia!" Fatima exclaimed cheerfully. "Hey girl,
how ya been?" she asked as though they had beend
friends for years.
"I've been well, thankyou."
Lilia replied politely.
"Well, your just in time I
have brought together some of my dancers to teach
them a small dance I created for a new Ricky Martin
video. I'll see how yah do and if you work out I
have oppertunity for ya." Fatima spoked so
confidently as though, she knew Lilia was perfect
for the company. Lilia got changed into her biker
shorts and took place in back of the other dancers. "Now, Lilia, how am I gonna see you back there come
up front here." Fatima said as she came into the
room.
Lilia did as she was told and began to dance.
Lilia danced harder than she ever knew was
possible. She put her heart and soul into each and
every step that she did. About a half an hour later
FAtima dismised all the dancers except Lilia.
"Well, Lilia, I have something for you," she said
handing her a round trip ticket to Orlando.
"Orlando, but I live in Miami why are you sending me
there?"
"Because that's where your gonna have to be in
order to practice for the Backstreet Boys spring
tour."
"I'm going on tour with the Backstreet Boys, this
spring!!" Lilia screamed with excitement and gave
Fatima a huge hug. Fatima followed with a few
directions for Lilia to follow and them
congratulated her. Lilia left just knowing that
this event was going to dramatically change her
life.
Chapter 1
"Okay you guys let's try this dance again from the
beginning," Fatima instructed. Lilia groaned
slightly, she was starting to get a bit frustrated,
she had been practicing the first 32 counts for the
last hour and she still wasn't getting the dance
right.
"Cheer up, hon, it'll get easier, I
promise," the dancer standing next to her said.
Lilia smiled she was happy to see one of the dancers
talking to her. After months of tourning together
the rest of the dancers were very close, almost a
family. Lilia felt a bit isolated. They went over
the first half of the dance again when 5 guys came
walking through the door. It wasn't until after she
finished dancing that she realized that the five
guys were the now infamous Backstreet Boys.
"Hey
Fatima, baby, your looking good," AJ said in a
flirty way. Fatima greeted him and a kiss on the
cheek.
"Hey you guys," she said addressing the
dancers, "Um were gonna take lunch now, but come
back refreshed so we can rehearse the group
dancers."
Fatima greeted the other four guys. "Hey,
Fatima, who's the blonde?" Nick asked refering to
Lilia.
"She's not blonde, she has light brown
hair." Howie replyed acting like a know it all.
"How did you know who I was taling about?" Nick
asked shocked and some what hurt by Howie's
statement.
"Because she's the only one of the
dancers that we don't already know," Howie replied.
Fatima explained that Lilia was Jasmine, one of
the older dancers replacement. Meanwhile, Lilia was
making friend with her neighbor on the dance floor,
who she now knew was named Rita. The two girls
decided to go and get lunch together at the studio
cafeteria. As they were just about leave the room
Fatima called Lilia over to her and the boys. "You
want me to wait?" Rita asked.
"No, you go ahead
and save me a seat, I shouldn't be very long," Lilia
replied with a smile, she them went up to meet the
guys.
"Lilia I would like you to meet Nick, Howie, AJ,
Brian and Kevin."
"Hi," the guys replied in unison.
"Hi," Lilia
replied with a slight giggle. "Sorry about that it
is just so strange, I mean I've been a fan for so
long."
"It's alright, were used to that reaction," Brian
said with a smile. Lilia made eye contact with
Brian's bright blue eyes and she was in awe for they
were so more in person than any picture she has ever
seen."
"Well, I must go, I'm meeting Rita for lunch,"
Lilia said as she headed out the door.
"She's
gorgeous," Nick siad in awe after she left the room.
Everbody laughed at Nick's reaction, however,
secretly everyone of the guys was thinking the same
thing.
Chapter 2
"Rita!! Why didn't you tell me Brian is gorgeous?"
Lilia asked pratically screaming.
"I thought you'd
be able to figure that on your own," Rita said
laughing.
"Anyways, don't get to attached, he's
pratically engaged to a girl named Laurie," Rita
warned her.
"Really? I should have figured. The
good guys are always claimed," Lilia stated
sounding somewhat upset by the news of Brian's
girlfriend.
"You got that right girl!!" Rita and
Lilia exchanged a high five at this statement. Rita
continued to give her the scoop on the guys. A few
minutes later the boys came into the cafeteria.
"Oh, there she is," Nick exclaimed, his voice still
in awe.
"You really like her, don't ya?" Howie
asked him.
"Yah, I do," Nick responded. "Then ask
her out," Howie said simply. Nick looked at Howie
like he was out of his mind. "Nick, if your not
going to ask her then I will ask her out for yah."
"I don't understand why would you want to ask her
out for me?" Nick asked a little suspicious of
Howie's true motives.
"Well, I was thinking we
could all invite her to bowling of something like
that," Howie stated his idea very proudly.
"That
sounds like fun," Brian interupted. Nick
hesistated, but then decided to give in to Howie's
idea.
"Wait, I can't go, I'm going out with Laurie
tonight, well I guess I can bring her along," Brian
said smiling, he was very happy that he thought of
that all by himself.
"So AJ and Kev, you guys in?"
Howie asked.
"Yah, we'll go" the two said
pratically in unison. Howie then walked over to
where Lilia and Rita were sitting.
"Hey Lilia, hey
Rita."
"Hey," the two girls responded. "I was
wondering if you girls weren't busy if you'd like to
come out with us tonight and go bowling." Rita and
Lilia both exchanged shocked glances at eachother.
"We'd love to, wouldn't we, Lilia?" Rita said this
hoping Lilia would except the offer.
"Yes, of
course I would, thank you Howie," Lilia responded
politly.
"Okay then I'll meet you girls at O-town
Bowling lanes at about 7ish," Howie said flashing
his trademark smile, the girls nodded as Howie went
over to the table where the boys were now seated.
"Rita!! I don't know where the O-town lanes are,
and I'm a horrid bowler," Lilia said devistated.
"Don't worry about it girl, I'll pick yah up. Oh
and by they way, the guys can't bowl either." The
two girls laughed at Rita's statement and left the
cafeteria. Lilia went back up to practice feeling
better than she ever had in her entire life. She
could not believe that she had only been in Orlando
for a couple of days but she already had friends,
and was going out. This was all very surreal to
her.
