Simply put, this is what happens when operatives don't follow the rules. And you don't want to piss me off do you? I'm not a friendly person when I'm mad, which is most of the time.
What this page deals with is some general rules for my operatives. Please note that my ally still thinks this is a game and have added a couple of posting rules as well.
1 - Be loyal to Cobra! I do not allow traitors in my organization. If you turn traitor and leave for GI Joe, I will personally hunt you down and skin you alive. See what I mean about not pissing me off?
2 - Follow the orders of your superior officers whenever possible. Most officers will state that this is more important than number one. Follow the orders, and we will be successful in our cause. Don't, and be ready to answer for your actions.
3 - At every possible chance, attack GI Joe. This is our most hated enemy and we must destroy them in order to be successful.
That's it on my end. Now, to the... ahem... posting guidelines.
1 - Swearing is allowed, but try to keep it down to a dull roar. Don't have a post that has thirty words and 25 of them are curse words.
2 - Posts need to be in THIRD PERSON PRESENT TENSE! In other words, you're writing a story here so no :: for actions, {for thoughts} etc. Posts will be written like this:
Jack walks up to the front door of the bar, takes a quick look at the motorcycles and notices the number of them before heading into the bar. He takes a quick look around before sitting down at an empty table and orders a drink.
Not: ::walks up to door of bar, examines bikes:: etc.
3 - Actions cannot be completed if you think you need a die roll. In other words, if it's something important, leave off the results from your post. For example, you cannot state that once you look around the bar, you see your contact and walk immediately ttowards him. How do you know that if I haven't stated it inone of my posts?
4 - Any actions need to be explained in an OOC statement. If you don't think I'll understand what you're trying to do in your post, write a small OOC statement underneath the regular post. THIS IS REQUIRED IN COMBAT SITUATIONS!
5 - Other players need to be respected as well. No flaming, telling the other player is stupid etc. in OOC statements. If you have a problem with a player or character, let me know privately.
6 - Sexual situations will be dealt with, but there will be no cybersex or porn in this game. This is not rated X, so if you think you're character wants to have sex with an NPC, then I will just have your characters be led into a bedroom and then cut to after that scene. Sex between PCs is DEFINATELY NOT ALLOWED!
7 - Posts are to be sent to me as well as any other player in the scene with you. I don't deal with lists so you need to keep track of the other e-mails in the scene with you.
8 - In the subject line, you need to do this: [Character FIrst Name] - Post Number - Post Title. The character name is self-explanitory. The Post number is the number that I wrote in my post(1.0, 1.3, etc.) DO NOT ADVANCE IT. This is how I keep things organizaed. The post title can be anything that makes sense to you and fits your post.
9 - Rulings that are made are final. I will listen to your comments or questions, but once I make up my mind, deal with it and move on. Simple as that.
10 - If your character dies, you can reapply and start in basic training again.
11 - I am hoping to get 3 to 4 posts a week in this game out to each scene. 3 posts is the minimum. If you cannot keep up with this, then you need to ifnd another game. If you're going to be away for a period of time, please tell me before hand and I will make provisions for you.
12 - Lastly, please enjoy the game. This game allows players to delve into their dark sides a bit so I hope that it will be an enjoyable experience for everyone.
