I got a phone call from someone who sounded like they were at a party, I couldn't hear a thing they said, but I assumed that it was a wrong number since I don't know anyone who sounds that happy and enthusiastic. We hung up and I got a textmessage, talk about being surprised when I saw who it was from.
An old friend who I haven't been in that much contact with at all lately. We've met a couple of times, always with lots of other people around and for some reason it's felt a bit forced, in lack of other words, like we haven't really had anything to say. We've been good friends for a long while though, so I was happy that it was her and that I was the one she chose to tell the good news. It was about meeting someone who we ran into a lot back when.
Even though you have lots of friends, you have those special friends who you know are the only ones that'll understand why you're so excited about that particular thing. You might lead different lives. You might not have that close contact that you once had, but still they're the first person you call.

I might sound overenthusiastic over a simple phone call, but it made me think... I've had a lot of time to think about things lately ;)
