| Morph Ball modes |
Morph Ball mode abilities (all
have the regular ball bomb ability) |
| Power |
power bombs (Energy
blast goes in all directions capable of exploding certain elements
and creatures), Power Boost (burst
of energy that shoots the ball forward), may be large
(the size of Samus tucked as in the picture to the left) or small
(as seen in the actual videogame where Samus is shrunken in a field
of energy) to fit through small holes
and tunnels. |
| Fire |
| Plasma Wave Bomb (A
wave of plasma ripples out 360 degrees from Samus but doesn't go
upwards), Flame Ball (The
ball ignites in a ball of flame to burn whatever crosses its path or
tragically comes to be above. It can also intensify the height of
the flame to reach further.), Flame
Boost (A burst of flame boosts Samus
forward) |
| Earth |
large
and small versions
available, Speed Boost (increases
the speed in a similar way as the power boost but isn't a burst of
energy, just a "second gear"), extra traction for
rolling on slanted surfaces or hills, earth
spread: utilizes certain raw materials to create a temporary
platform or bridge of land under and in front of Samus (very handy
for getting across lava) and can be aimed in any direction. |
| Ice |
Freeze Bomb (Freezes
everything instantly within a large radius in all directions), Ice
Spread (Creates a hard layer of ice in front of the ball as
it goes for Samus to slide on. Samus can aim the Ice Spread up,
down, left or right, which enables her to get to ledges out of
reach by the double jump or boosters, or safely fall from very high
ones) Power Boost (to
get a start on the slippery ice keep going through loops that may be
made with the Ice Spread since friction is too low to start with
normal rolling.) |
| Spike
|
Spike Bomb (Numerous
spikes are shot out in every direction) Spikes also jut out of the
ball to gain maximum traction on slippery surfaces, run over enemies
or climb up walls made of rock or dirt not too strong (won't work on
metal or dense rock), or weak (won't work on brittle walls that fall
apart) Speed Boost (increases
the speed in a similar way as the power boost but isn't a burst of
energy, just a "second gear"). large
and small versions
available |
| Electric |
Electric-Pulse Bomb (covers
a wide radius in all directions, disabling mechanical devices,
activating power generators, or electrocuting creatures), Magnet
ball (can ride on magnetic rails), Magnebeam
(A short electromagnetic beam that can grab onto magnetic surfaces
and pull Samus to it. Samus can aim the beam around in any direction,
extend it up to 6' and even swing with it.) |
| Space |
Antigravity Bomb (negates
all the gravity within a room for a time so that everything floats in the
middle of the room within a certain height range) Gravity Bomb
(creates a gravity field on the surface
that Samus sets it on for a time) Super
Power Boost (especially powerful energy
boos that blasts Samus super fast especially in an antigravity
situation. It can be aimed in any direction) Rebound
Ball (ball bounces off anything and
gains speed after each bounce) Spring
Ball (Springs Samus up as high as a
double jump in normal gravity and infinitely high in
antigravity) |
| Aqua |
Sonic Wave Bomb (A sound
wave blasts in all directions which is most effective under water
but can do some damage in the atmosphere as well.), Sub-Ball
(enables Samus to move around in water like a fish) Jet
Boost (liquid is sucked in and Jetted
out, producing a boost only effective in liquid). This mode is
ineffective above liquid because it is shaped like a ball with a
cone tail and can not roll. |
