"Without Limits" starring Billy Crudup
Mood:  lazy
Now Playing: "So Cold" by Breaking Benjamin
Topic: Skool
so i have finally watched both of the Prefontaine movies that were made. The first being a gift for Xmas in 2003, "Prefontaine" is the more inspiring movie, where as "Without Limits" is the more hollywood style one. overall i really did enjoy both of the movies, but if i was to pick a favorite id have to say i prefer "Without Limits". so if you're in the mood to watch a good movie, and run, id say "Without Limits" is a great movie to watch. but enough about movie reviews, on with today. well nothing really. the only thing i guess i have to say is about track. well im sorta getting back into running, but i dont think im gonna be at all ready for the meet thursday against Trabuco. i doubt im even gonna touch a sub 5:05 mile, sub 11:20 two mile, and a sub 2:20 800. its gonna be quite possibly the most disappointing meet ive had so far. but then again this year i havent done that good. ive done no better than last year. ive beaten my mile by two seconds, 800 time by two seconds, and i havent officially beaten my two mile time (i've actually gotten two seconds slower). that means that ive got a lot that i havent used so far. my downfall might have been that i overworked my body during the winter break, that i peaked too soon.im not going out this season without breaking 4:54, and that is what i plan on doing this thursday.if it means only running the mile, then so be it. ive got to do what i did against el toro during the two mile against trabuco for the mile. i managed to maintain a pace and i was able to get a kick out of it. i need to feel like i did at Katella, and actualy finish in a really good time. ill be focusing on the mile extensively for the next week. there's only three weeks left till the end of track, and that means that ive got to run harder and faster than ever before. i do not wanna get disappointed this year like i did last year. if i fail again this year. im gonna do XC, but ill be working mainly on speed. and during the winter break at the end of this year, im gonna be doing all forms of cross training and running. next year im going for a 4:35 and under mile regardless of what i get this year. ive got a whole year to train to drop 20 seconds. i can do. just like the greeks say: "Citius . . . Altius . . . Fortius . . ."

Topic: Weekend Fun
wee just like the title of this post, skool tomorrow and im not looking forward to it. ::sigh:: well thats life and it must go on. ive had one of the better times so far this year sleeping this spring break. three times i went to sleep very late and i loved it. but it was only the last three days. but i slept in till noon the final days of break. just as im getting used to the vacation thing, skool has to begin. i cant wait till this summer . . . wait no im in summer skool, so im stuck in skool for an extra month . . . grrr thats not kool. well tomorrow im not going to track practice, that really sucks. i need to start running again. ive got to go to the dentist at 2:00 tomorrow so that really sucks. i hate the dentist. my birthday is also coming really soon, and usually nothing but good news comes with it. first off its on May 19th, so only a month later itll be summer vacation.:D secondly my older brother's birthday is on the exact same day, so that is really kool. i cant wait till my 17th birthday. im hoping it turns out really good. well for thos of you actually taking time to read this nonsense dont forget May 19, 2005. if you need a refrence point as to when that is, just keep watching the Star Wars III movie trailers. it comes out the same day as my birthday. well skool tomorrow so thats gonna be fun. laters

wooo . . . so much for spring break
Mood:  a-ok
Now Playing: "Cold" by Crossfade
Topic: Weekend Fun
weeeeeeee . . . spring break is officially over as of this morning. and i can confidently say i did absoultely NOTHING! sunday night i went to the gym with my mommy, and i ran on the treadmill for 60 mins and completed 8 miles at a negative split pace. it started out at a 7:34 pace for the first twenty minutes, then sped up to 7:00 for the next twenty minutes and managed to hold out a 6:40 pace for the last twenty minutes. it was fun, but probably a bad idea, cuz i could not run the rest of the week. monday morning i did go to practice. i woke up twenty minutes late, but living so close i ran there. so that was my warm up. the actual workout was 8 400's but i did six then an 800 to finish with the team. that was the last time i ran, so im not gonna enjoy running tomorrow. tuesday i got a haircut so that was good for me. then i can sumarize the rest of the week. Sleep, TV, playing with Mikey, eating. thats all i did this spring break. i did manage to draw up one version a car that i gotta do for zero period. thats about the higlight of my spring break. tomorrow is gym in the morning hopefully. so come monday im gonna have lots of fun stories to tell everyone. haha right . . .

Toyota Grand Prix in Long Beach
Mood:  surprised
Now Playing: "stories" by trapt
Topic: Weekend Fun
wee today was a big change of plans. first off i slept all morning so me going to the beach was a no deal. well my parents got home pretty early. a whole lot earlier than expected. but whatever, it meant that i got to go to the Grand Prix race in long beach. it was pretty kool, even tho we got there around 3:40. we got to see the final fifteen minutes of the drifiting competition which was kool. there was a few cars in that, including two Truenos, a Supra, a Viper, a GTO, a 240sx, and an S2000. one of the truenos crashed into the barrier where we were, and the crowd went nuts. the 240 SX turned out a doughnut in front of us so that was really kool. after the drifting competition, we went into the convention center where there was a little autoshow. that was fun and i saw a few kick ass cars including a Lamborghini Diablo. well about an hour later i stepped outside to see the trans am practice. all that was in that were Mustang Cobras i think four, an SVT f150, and a focus. it wasnt as fun as the drifting, but it was kool to see cars going by fast. well as we were leaving we saw the bubba gump shrimp. so i decided to take a picture with him. it was a pretty fun day. it also helped that i got $192 worth of tickets for free. it was kool cuz the whole day was free. one of my better days.

doing doughnuts during drifting. its really intense.

Spring Break is finally here!!

ok so major updates are needed. i think im gonna run this down day by day starting from the last day i updated.

FRIDAY April 1, 2005
Nothing really happened this day. it was very mellow and the track practice was a pathetic 20 min run to the watershed and back. o and it was april fool's day, but nothing happened.

Saturday April 2, 2005
My Parents left for my younger brothers soccer game up in san bernandino. i stayed at home and watched the F1 race that i had recorded. it was a great race with Toyota and McLaren-Mercedes doing an amzing job. Trulli got 2nd, followed by Raikkonen in third, Schumacher in Fourth, and De la Rosa in Fifth. it was a great day to be a toyota fan, and Honda sucked again. haha they didnt get to finish another race. haha i love this sport.

Sunday April 3, 2005
again parents left for San Bernandino. i again stayed home, but luckily my brother came home earlier that day from work, so we kinda chilled for the rest of the day, sorta sleeping and such. it was great followed by intense Mario Kart: Double Dash!! mayhem. i love that game. its seriously the most fun game you can play with my brother. and my baby brother whose 2? years old, actually knows how to play and the highest ive seen him get is second place overall in 50cc. for a little toodler he's a really good mario kart player. and yes he does get an ocassional first place win.

Monday April 4, 2005
Skool Resumed and they changed the time on me. its fine cuz i still woke up. it was advisement week, so i set up my senior year schedule. basically im hoping my scheudle looks a little like this next year:
0.Economics
1.English lit
2.AP Stats
3.AP Physics
4.FREE PERIOD
5.FREE PERIOD
6.X-Country
if i does look like that i would be done at break on pretty much everyday. track workout was pretty intense. it was a tempo followed by intervals followed by relays. not very easy to do.

Tuesday April 5, 2005
well it was mellow. same ol' crap as usual, but i missed zero period, and i woek up really late. thats not good. but i did get my federal tax return so that made me happy. i am now $55 richer!! track was mellow, a nice little recovery run.

Wednesday April 6, 2005
It was Intern Day, and i went to Family Toyota and worked with them for a bit. it was pretty fun, cuz i got a couple freebies, and i got to miss all my day of skool. and i skipped track practice and slept till the next morning. it was lots of fun.

Thursday April 7, 2005
the third South Coast League Meet was on this day. it was against el toro and i didnt end up running the 800. i really dont think it would have made much of a difference, cuz i still ran a 11:11 two mile. the first meet i ran faster than that and i ran the fastest mile and 800 ive done in any dual meet. but o well i guess it just means i have to run even faster next meet. as far as my mile goes, i ran a disappointing 5:15. i was on my pace but died off in the end. so for anyone keep record, my best times are as follows:
400M - Irvine Invitational 00:57.0
800M - SCL #1 2:15
1600M - Katella Invitational 4:56
3200M - SCL #1 11:06

those dont really mean my bestest times, just the best times ive hit in the season so far. i beeter bring all of those down after spring break.

Friday April 8, 2005
Jersey Jam! it was ok, not as many people went as i expected, but then again it was a three dollar dance. Clayton apperently didnt end up going due to sickness and Ryan ditched me. a few people did go including Heather, Jackie, Melissa, Kendall, and Doug. so it was still somewhat fun, but not as fun as i had hoped it would have been. well spring break is here so that means lots of sleeping. well im hoping to accomplish some things this break, like learn Chapter whichever were on in time for a wuiz the wednesday we get back for math. hmm other than draw several cars for auto thats about it. Track Practice on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8:30am led by Clay's dad. well tomorrow i might be going to the beach with clay and mcguan so i guess thatll be fun. and heather wants to go to the beach on the saturday she gets back, so a week after tomorrow. well tomorrow ive got things to accomplish and figure out so ill try to wrtie again real soon. not a whole week will go by that im certain of. adios.

three weeks from today!

South Coast League #2: Capo @ Dana
Mood:  don't ask
Now Playing: "kill" by Jimmy Eat World
Topic: Track Meet

Today was the Dana/Capo Dual meet. just like last week only this time we were away at Dana's course. i ran the same events as i did the week before. but what makes this race intresting is that i have friends that go to Dana, and its fun to race against them. lets start off with the first one. Miguel. he ran the 1600/3200 today. Hes a JV runner cuz its harder to make Varsity for Dana.so i didnt actually get to race him in the mile. but that didnt matter cuz i still beat him. he ran a 5:05 while i ran a 5:00. and thats not a good time for the way i was feeling. and its pissing me off that im not running sub 4:50 yet!! i should be but im not, so thats pissing me off. im gonna take this weekend and the rest of the week to workout and build some more speed. i have to get a 4:50 mile against el toro!! now lets avert the 3200 meter race for right now, cuz its run last. my second rival at Dana is James. he too runs JV bu only he runs the 800/3200. hes faster than me in XC, but hopefully i can beat him next year. well the 800 race i was doing great, but a Repeat of Aliso Niguel from freshmen year happened. i died 150 meters to go!!! it pissed me off cuz i was with Marc and John. but o well, i better do better in it next week. Sadly i lost to James in it. i think he got a 2:11 while i got a 2:17!!!! grr not happy with that whatsoever. now the ever popular 3200 race. as you can tell, im completely dead from running the 1600 and 800, so its pretty much set that ill lose to james, after all hes the faster distance runner. but miguel, i dont think i should have lost to him. but i went out too stupidly, and ran like a freshmen. i died with SIX laps to go. i was completely tired, and all my energy had vanished! all there was to do was just sputter to the finish line, cuz i would not drop out of a race, no matter what. and thats excatly what i did. ever so slowly, i came in at an emberassing 11:30. one of my worst races ever. my first split was a 5:20 and i slowed down by excatly 50 SECONDS TO A SHAMFUL 6:10!!! i have not run a 6:00 mile in a race since . . . freshmen year! so now the challenge is on. Next week against El Toro i WILL be getting a sub 4:55 mile, and a sub 11:00 two mile. right now im thinking of not running the 800 meter race to conserve energy, but its very unlikely that i will. but my goal for the 800 is 2:12 for el toro, if i run. well thats about it, see ya laters.

The Fun days of Track and Field
Mood:  hug me
Now Playing: "Polaris" by Jimmy Eat World
Topic: Skool
today is just one of those days. its a monday and well ive basically got nothing to do. i hate getting up in the mornings and generally i hate going to skool on mondays. my best classes are over before break so thats no fun. and tomorrow ive got zero period, so you can bet im looking forward to that. its not that bad, i just hate getting up so damn early. well im gonna be moving out of my house around my birthday maybe. theyre gonna be adding a second floor to my house, so that means i wont be moving anytime soon. ill be finishing High School at Capo. well that basically means that for about two months im gonna be living in a one room apartment while the redo my entire house (literally from the ground up). anyways on with today. Physics was first and i found out my test score, and i did really good. i got an 83% so that raises my grade up some. i find out my actual grade on Wednesday, but im pretty sure that moved it up to a B if not a C+.US History was fun, like always. Mulligan is the grestest teacher and he makes one of my favorite subjects even better. the way he teaches is great. and i also love his class cuz ive got a really high A in his class. ive only missed three points in the entire semster so thats good. US History is the only class where i can do no work and still get an A, i like that much. In Math i also got my test grade. i did really well on the test for not knowing the section. i got a 78% on the test, and that is really good for me. hopefully that raises my 44% up to a 50%. if i can raise it another 8% ill be at a D. im just aiming to pass the class with a C, that would make me happy. English was torture. i cant stand to go to that class its just so boring. i try as hard as i can to focus but i cant seem to do it. i dont care, im just in there cuz i have to take it all four years. im hoping next year i will be allowed to take a class thats not so boring, or at least get a teacher whos not such a bitch. but i have a good C in her class. that only leaves track. our workout was really insane today. the 1600/3200 group did two 800M at just faster than race pace. It was pretty good. the first one i got boxed in at the back so on the staright i had to do a little kick to catch up. i ran the first lap in a 73, and then came in at 2:29. we had some rest, then did it again. Only this time i hit 73(i think?) and then a 2:24, so that was good. if i can run faster than that at this next meet, ill be satisified. after the 2 800's we then did five sets of two 300's. the first four were basically normal 300's just go out and run them hard. the next two were run the first 150M really hard and crusie into the finish. the next two were run the first 100 really hard, take it easy on the next 100, and then charge the third 100. the last two were just like the first four, only we were dead by them. overall a good workout, but really hard. i enjoyed it. well as i leave tonite, ive got one picture for my dear DanaBuddies that im gonna be racing on thursday. plase feel free to join in the mocking.

That's for You, Miguel and James!

you guys are finished before it even started

Happy Easter!!

today is easter and im bored as hell. isnt today supposed be the day that Jesus got resurrected or something? whatever it is, i dont see how a bunny and egg hunting got involved. and really i dont care. its just another boring holiday involving some kind of religion. really i dont see why theyre called holidays. dont get me wrong, some religious holidays are kick ass ::cough::xmas break::cough:: cuz they give you some time off from skool and what not. but how come we dont celebrate other religions holidays. dont islamic people have like ramadan or something or other, where they cant eat for like an eternity or something? how come we dont give them the day off for that type of stuff. i understand im not holding my ground very well here, but my point is that we shouldnt just be embracing Christian beliefs and days of meaning. i understand that chritanity is the majority of religion here in the US, but i still think we should grasp and try to understand other religions and cultures instead of going and bombing them out of excistence. like wise i think those terrorists assholes need to understand our culture as well. Osama is a fucking retard and a fucking hypocrite. during the early 80's he was grateful for having US assitance when the damn soviets were bombing them, and ten years later he comes and bombs us on our homeland? WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT ABOUT? if it wasnt for our militia and weapons he would have probably died during that time. and maybe that was good, but like with hitler in the early 30's he didnt know he was gonna turn into such a fucking psycho. Things really arent that great in the world today, and its due to the ignorance that noone takes the time to try to understand anyone. we see other cultures in the middle east and we think that its weird. they see us and they think were the great satan of the earth. WE'RE ONLY TRYING TO HELP YOU! i guess i just hate the way things are right now. and someone should most definately do something about it.

CAUTION:

LOOKING EVEN FURTHER BELOW

MAY DISGUST OR OFFEND YOU!!!

and a final thought,
HEY BUSH AND OSAMA!! Here's an idea:

Saturday Mornings are for Sleeping
Mood:  lazy
Now Playing: "Page Avenue" by Story of the Year
Topic: Weekend Fun
Joy! today is saturday, and ive got nothing to do. im thinking i should sleep, but then again that would just waste a perfectly good day like this. ive got nothing better to do today, so ive decided to spend some time on the computer looking up stuff. no track meet today, so thats also boring. i guess im feeling tired. friday was intresting. i had auto, and finished some coloring. phyeics test seemed pretty easy, but i think i screwed up on the multiple choice. i really should have read the two chapters. the solving problems themselves were pretty ximple, bgut im pretty sure i missed one. Math i was worried about, but it turns out that it was actually easy. sure the five page test seemed intimidating at first, but all those probglems were just bascially repeats. i only didnt solve 3? problems. it was the one section that i never actually understood, so i just left it blank. i think there was 25 problems plus the extra credit, so those wont hurt too bad i think. i hope i get a good grade on it. well lunch on friday was one of the better ones. sometimes i wonder how it was that i met my friends. but im thankful that we are friends, they make everything better. i came home basically right at lunch, and missed out on practice. i fell asleep around 2pm, and didnt wake up till 4:15ish. that was a great nap. well i watched a pretty kool movie last night as well. "Radio" was a really good movie, i enjoyed it. and that was firday. today has been moving slowly. i woke up at 10:30, so i got to get some decent amount of sleep. but all ive done is watch a little tv and eat ice cream. yes ice cream first thing in the morning. my stomach feels a little weird now, but that was all i could care to find for breakfast. well ive been wasting about an hour or so on here already. it turns out that i might go to Chuck E Cheese for my little cousin's birthday. ive got nothing better to do, so i figure i might as well go play with mikey. well here just one final thought. its more depressing if your a guy.

South Coast League # 1 Mission Viejo @ Capo
Mood:  amorous
Topic: Track Meet

Yay the first South Coast League Meet has passed. it was against Mission Viejo. It wasnt that great of a day to run, cuz the weather was all out of whack. Well like usual i did my three events, the 1600M folowed by the 800M, then lastly the 3200M. there was only, like usual, 40 mins in between each one. the 1600M was the most difficult, in my opinion, race today. i hadnt adjusted to the weather just quite yet, so everything was sorta off. and i got to the start line, litereally with thirty seconds to spare. then i had to take my wristband off (apprerently its considered a bracelet now), right before my race, and then get back to the start line.that was really hectic. i think i came in 8th place but im not sure. my time was a measly 4:59. not great, but it was decent for the situation i had experinced earlier.

Forty minutes later, im off to run the 800M. that race i was a little more prepared for, but as i came around the first lap, one of the timers accidentially added 10 seconds to the spilt time. now in a race like the 800, thats not good. the final lap i was just thinking "damn, im hurting this bad for and im running so slow." but it turns out my first lap was a 65 instead of a 75, but that was after the race. but just cuz of that little incident, i only managed to run a 2:15. a PR, but not a happy PR.

the pictures on here are of me in the 3200M. for about the first mile or so, me, micheal, and Ramiro were following the mission guys from the first picture. after about three laps of that, me micheal and two a mission guy start to push the pace. but i dont think micheal was able to stay at that pace, so he backed off a bit.(as seen in picture #2) for about a mile its just a race between me and the one mission guy, but in the final three hundred meters, i sadly let him go (a big mistake). i could have easily outkicked him, but i was too tired from the mile and 800, that i had no other option. i got fifth for the two mile, and was only 28 seconds behind dane. i was most happy with the two mile today, but im hoping next week at dana that i can run a 4:50ish mile if not faster, a 2:12ish 800, and finally a 10:45ish two mile. well i gotta study for Physics and Math. its nothing but test tomorrow for me. laters.
