"Everyday is all the same Take the pleasure with the pain Things that you put me through Never is enough for you So I'll fly Find another life I know somewhere it's right So why can't I forget you" Well thats the end . . . Track 2005 has ended, and well ive got nothing to say about it. Whatelse is there to say? i sucked, and i had a very crappy season? two in a row, and that doesnt make me happy whatsoever. i ended the season with never getting an official 10 min 2 mile. SHIT! that really pisses me off. i was able to get a 10:48 2 mile, but that wasnt in an official race. well now it looks that im going into my final senior year with the following times: 400: 57.0 (Irvine Invitational 2005) 800: 2:14 (SCL #5 @ SC 2005) 1600: 4:57 (Katella Invitational 2005) 3200: 11:04 (Irvine Invitational 2004) 3-mile: 16:49 (SCL #4/5 @ Park 2004) this summer and all during XC season im training extensively. im not slacking off one bit. starting at the very end of May im going to being training for XC. im not going too indepth into what ill be doing but for a base training, i wont be running with the team. I'll be going to a few select athlete led practices, and morning practices with the coaches alternating with the afternoon for when there is no Morning. ill be doing more weight training this time around, and lots more distance, with some strength/endurance. starting in June 2005, im training for Track 2006. I WILL ACCOMPLISH THE FOLLOWING!!: 800M: sub-2:08 1600M: sub-4:40 3200M: sub-10:25 3-MILE: sub-16:00 This time around, im fully researching everything, so that i can accomplish these goals. im hoping that training a little differently, and not as hard during the preseason, will benefit me.

Well the 2005 Capo Valley Track and Field Season is now officially over. and i must say im deeply disappointed. My times are as follows going into the 2006 Season: 400M: 57.0 -2.2s from 2004 800M: 2:14 -3s from 2004 1600: 4:57 -2s from 2004 3200M: Still have one shot at beating my PR, tomorrow im not too happy, i should have been into the 4:40's and high 4:30's. now that means that next year i have to work even harder. biggest disappointment in track thus far. well my final XC season is about to begin, so im not really gonna care for that. thats about it. i just have to run the 3200M final tomrrow. well i hope i can get a good time.

well whats done is done . . . and it looks like im ending the 2005 track season with a 4:57 mile, 2:14 800, and 11:06(officially) 2 mile. not what i was expecting out of myself. i know i could have gotten into the 4:40's in the mile the sub 2:10's half-mile and at least a 10:48 two mile. well this summer im training slightly different. im doing more distance, and more controlled speed, with more strength training. im hoping that i can finish my Final XC season with a time in the 15's. but it doesnt seem possible if i cant even break 11 mins in the two mile. League Prelims are tomorrow, with the 3200 Final on Friday. ive got one moer chance at breaking all of my PR's but i couldnt even hold a 5:00 flat on a treadmill. i only went 3/4 of a mile before succumbing to the imense pain that i experince from running. and sometimes i think that maybe im not meant to be a runner. todays workout has me thinking that way. it was a set of 12 striders, but when i was supposed to be at around 170HR i was at 200! and i know it wasnt cuz i was tired exhausted or anything. i can complete the workout, and it seems that i get really tired afterwards. at the final HeartRate check i was in at 220!! i know that is probably a little off, but thats what i clocked myself at. everyone else was barely at 180-190. few were into the 200's, but mostly everyone was at 190. it makes me think that maybe im not meant to be running at the pace that i do. if im obviously 20-30 beats per minute higher than everyone else, i should slow things down. but thats how i have been running. could it be that im not supposed be a runner? maybe im not supposed to be fast? but yet here i am, 3rd Fastest Runner for Capo. and ive always been a better runner than some of my peers ever since i started back in 7th grade. at first, i couldnt hold it. it would just exert too much pain. but i built up a tolerance, and well ive grown accustomed to it. but i dont think its a good idea to be running with a HR of 200 everytime. and mind you this was only striders! i cant even imagine what a real workout would be like. or even a race! i think i just might rethink what sport ill be participating in. I guess running just isnt my thing. 16 days!

SCL #4 Tomorrow

Topic: Track Meet
woo tomorrow is the third to last race im gonna be running this year. and im not ready for it. but i have a good plan that will hopefull let me get a good time. im going back to running all three events: 800M, 1600M, 3200M. im not setting any high goals, but i am setting some difficult ones. for the 800 im aiming for a 2:17 or under. 1600 im going for anything under 5:00. the two mile, im not holding anything back. im aiming for a sub 11:10. well, im also entering an Auto Design Contest thats gonna be held in Huntington Beach on June 5, 2005. first place gets $500, with other prizes for 2nd and 3rd places as well. im gonna do a roadster concept car. for those of you who dont know what that is, look up the Chevrolet SSR, Chrysler Prowler, and Lamborghini Concept S. im gonna do something similiar to the Prowler, but im adding my own personal touches to incorporate the Lamborghini in it, with open roof wheel wells. ill post up a pic right before i send it into the competition. im not really aiming for a first place, but im hoping that i get good recognition, and some comments on my drawing. this is the first time im letting the public see any of my designs so im hoping it gets accepted. afterall, if my designs dont get accepted by the public, what are the chances of me getting accepted by a Car Manufacturer? well i havent showered, and i need to go to sleep so, thats all im gonna write. hasta luego. by the way, im aslo working to try to design my own graphics for future reference. here is my first attempt:

Today was the Dana/Capo Dual meet. just like last week only this time we were away at Dana's course. i ran the same events as i did the week before. but what makes this race intresting is that i have friends that go to Dana, and its fun to race against them. lets start off with the first one. Miguel. he ran the 1600/3200 today. Hes a JV runner cuz its harder to make Varsity for Dana.so i didnt actually get to race him in the mile. but that didnt matter cuz i still beat him. he ran a 5:05 while i ran a 5:00. and thats not a good time for the way i was feeling. and its pissing me off that im not running sub 4:50 yet!! i should be but im not, so thats pissing me off. im gonna take this weekend and the rest of the week to workout and build some more speed. i have to get a 4:50 mile against el toro!! now lets avert the 3200 meter race for right now, cuz its run last. my second rival at Dana is James. he too runs JV bu only he runs the 800/3200. hes faster than me in XC, but hopefully i can beat him next year. well the 800 race i was doing great, but a Repeat of Aliso Niguel from freshmen year happened. i died 150 meters to go!!! it pissed me off cuz i was with Marc and John. but o well, i better do better in it next week. Sadly i lost to James in it. i think he got a 2:11 while i got a 2:17!!!! grr not happy with that whatsoever. now the ever popular 3200 race. as you can tell, im completely dead from running the 1600 and 800, so its pretty much set that ill lose to james, after all hes the faster distance runner. but miguel, i dont think i should have lost to him. but i went out too stupidly, and ran like a freshmen. i died with SIX laps to go. i was completely tired, and all my energy had vanished! all there was to do was just sputter to the finish line, cuz i would not drop out of a race, no matter what. and thats excatly what i did. ever so slowly, i came in at an emberassing 11:30. one of my worst races ever. my first split was a 5:20 and i slowed down by excatly 50 SECONDS TO A SHAMFUL 6:10!!! i have not run a 6:00 mile in a race since . . . freshmen year! so now the challenge is on. Next week against El Toro i WILL be getting a sub 4:55 mile, and a sub 11:00 two mile. right now im thinking of not running the 800 meter race to conserve energy, but its very unlikely that i will. but my goal for the 800 is 2:12 for el toro, if i run. well thats about it, see ya laters.

South Coast League # 1 Mission Viejo @ Capo
Mood:
amorous
Topic: Track Meet
Yay the first South Coast League Meet has passed. it was against Mission Viejo. It wasnt that great of a day to run, cuz the weather was all out of whack. Well like usual i did my three events, the 1600M folowed by the 800M, then lastly the 3200M. there was only, like usual, 40 mins in between each one. the 1600M was the most difficult, in my opinion, race today. i hadnt adjusted to the weather just quite yet, so everything was sorta off. and i got to the start line, litereally with thirty seconds to spare. then i had to take my wristband off (apprerently its considered a bracelet now), right before my race, and then get back to the start line.that was really hectic. i think i came in 8th place but im not sure. my time was a measly 4:59. not great, but it was decent for the situation i had experinced earlier.
Forty minutes later, im off to run the 800M. that race i was a little more prepared for, but as i came around the first lap, one of the timers accidentially added 10 seconds to the spilt time. now in a race like the 800, thats not good. the final lap i was just thinking "damn, im hurting this bad for and im running so slow." but it turns out my first lap was a 65 instead of a 75, but that was after the race. but just cuz of that little incident, i only managed to run a 2:15. a PR, but not a happy PR.
the pictures on here are of me in the 3200M. for about the first mile or so, me, micheal, and Ramiro were following the mission guys from the first picture. after about three laps of that, me micheal and two a mission guy start to push the pace. but i dont think micheal was able to stay at that pace, so he backed off a bit.(as seen in picture #2) for about a mile its just a race between me and the one mission guy, but in the final three hundred meters, i sadly let him go (a big mistake). i could have easily outkicked him, but i was too tired from the mile and 800, that i had no other option. i got fifth for the two mile, and was only 28 seconds behind dane. i was most happy with the two mile today, but im hoping next week at dana that i can run a 4:50ish mile if not faster, a 2:12ish 800, and finally a 10:45ish two mile. well i gotta study for Physics and Math. its nothing but test tomorrow for me. laters.
