Completion
Got LAUNDRY done. Sittin' here watchin' the baseball game. It's the only thing on. It sure is weird for there to be a playoff game in Wrigley Field. lol

Let me rant on baseball just a moment. Come April, for the first three or four weeks, it's great. But the season is soooo long and the games are generally boring. I mean, after the All-Star break, it's like a double marathon at a snail's pace. Football starts and you forget about baseball, then all of a sudden, they start the playoffs. lol And in baseball, the playoffs are really the only halfway interesting thing, to me anyway. Now, as for going to a game in person, that is a great overall experience. But still, as far as the continual excitement of the game, I'll take football anyday. I mean, in a big football game, fans go crazy every play. You stand up the whole time, if you're there. Never see that in baseball, even in Game 7 of the World Series. The fans might stand in the ninth inning, but that's about it. Another thing is, the baseball announcers on these networks (namely Fox) are the worst.

So, where did all this come from you might wonder. Well one of the brilliant sportswriters in the small local paper I get here wrote that there's nothing like the excitement of baseball. lol He said something to the effect of, "In other sports, close games and races are won or lost in the blink of an eye. A last-second basket, a touchdown run, or a last-lap pass, and its over." And this was apparently a bad thing to him.

In other news, I got a knock at my door about 4:45 this afternoon. Since I rarely have unexpected company, I looked out the window and saw it was Dad. He wanted to take me out to eat. My parents like never come over here. They've probably been here a total of five or six times in all the years I've lived here. I always have to go see them. But anyway, I think it probably has something to do with my health here lately. So we went to a little catfish place just on the edge of town. It was pretty good. So I'll have to have the leftover casserole tomorrow night (and probably Thursday, too--there's A LOT of it).

I did go RUNNING this evening, the usual trek. Showered after that, and went over and talked to my sister for a few minutes. She's thinking of going to school to become an LPN.

Marlins and Cubs are tied at 6 right now. Go Fish!! No, I really don't care, but there's nothing else on TV on Tuesday nights. College football will be back Thursday, thankfully.

"And I don't know why you couldn't just stay with me. You couldn't stand to be near me, when my face don't seem to wanna shine, cause it's a little bit dirty. Well, don't just stand there, say nice things to me. 'Cause I've been cheated, I've been wronged. You don't know me. Well I can't change. I won't do anything at all..."

Spin-cyclation
Doing LAUNDRY on this lovely Tuesday. I had a plate lunch from LIBBY'S for lunch--chicken & dressing, squash casserole, and green beans. Good!!

Whatever happened to Captain Caveman? Captain Caaaaavemaaahhahaan!! lol I liked that cartoon.

My sister was home for lunch, so I stopped by. Then I sat on the porch for a bit, and the white kitty climbed up in my lap. It was so cute. He just sat there for the longest, and I finally had to pick him up and sit him on the porch when I got ready to leave. No, we really haven't named the cats yet. It's just like white cat, gray cat, and other gray cat. lol Sounds like something from a Chevy Chase movie. lol Yellow dog.

I noticed three hotties walking out to their cars at this little apartment that is like three houses down. Wow, they must've just moved in. When I got home, the lady next door was all like, "I'm gonna start running with you in the evenings." And I was like, "You can't keep up." lol And she said, "Well if I have to stop, you just circle around and pick me up on your way back thru."

I got a hit today from a search for "funny quotes for a stressful day at work." lol Oh man, I could come up with a load of those. If only they had surfed over to KYLE'S blog when he used to include the audio bits.

The lady at registration at the hospital was all like, "Well I'm afraid we don't listen to your radio station." They had some kind of staticy, soft-AC station going. I was like, "Well that's OK. You should give it a try though." Then later on she was asking about a song, and I was like, "We got it. We play it." Ah, it's always good to get out and meet the people.

That's about it for now. I'm thinking of changing my links up. There are a couple of those blogs over there that I never go to anymore, and I need to add a link to Eric and Kevin, cause I read them sometimes. Everybody's gone bloggin... bloggin USA. lol

Just gonna finish laundry today, hopefully. I'm gonna try to go RUNNING. Probably have some left-over casserole for dinner. KYLE e'd me today and said he had some more stuff scripted for the VIPERS video, so I'm gonna try to go over there tomorrow night and read that. I was just noticing one day at work, there is this company that you can do voice work for, and they pay you like $500 per :30 second ad. I wonder if I could do that. Guess it wouldn't hurt to try.

"What's the matter girl well don't you think I'm good enough? This old heart's had a whole lotta breakin' down. She's got all these reasons in her head. Well all that time, she knew if I lied. You can bet she will. She's taking her time, til I thought I would die and I can't sit still. Things got turned 'round, don't know where I started from..."

Starvation
OK, I went and had my ultrasound (geez, I sound like a pregnant woman). The process itself took maybe 10-15 minutes. The whole deal, registration, waiting, etc., took about 45 minutes. Not too bad. The lab guy said that a radiologist would read it tomorrow and pass the results along to my doctor. So maybe I'll know something else tomorrow or Thursday.

Anyway, because I was having that done, I couldn't eat anything after midnight last night. So I'm about to tear into some lunch. Ravenous!!

Looks like the blog talk of the day is KYLE'S Mom going out of town for a few weeks. I'm not sure if he'll be able to have company over or not. lol Reminds me of the SEINFELD where Jerry sits a drink on George's parents coffee table, leaving a ring. George gets all upset, and is like "I can't have any parties while they're gone."

Wooooooooooo!!!

"Tell me, did the wind sweep you off your feet? Did you finally get the chance to dance along the light of day, head back to the Milky Way? And tell me, did Venus blow your mind? Was it everything you wanted to find? And did you miss me while you were looking for yourself out there?"

Apprehension
I've been a little uneasy today and last night about this test today. It's at 10:00. Hopefully, everything will look OK.

In other news, watched some of the baseball game and MNF last night. I went to bed and TAMPA was up like 28-14. I figured with their defense it was over. I wake up this morning to find out that INDY stormed back with three TD's in the final four minutes to tie it, then won it in OT. Wow, that had to be one of the greatest comebacks ever.

The RED SOX won, which I was glad of. I guess I am pulling for the YANKEES and MARLINS to make the Series.

JEN did end up coming over last night. We went to the grocery store and she cooked a chicken casserole. It was good. That was very sweet and I can't express my appreciation for her kindness.

"All this time, I still remember everything you said. There's so much you promised, how could I ever forget? Listen... You know I love you, but I just can't take this. You know I love you, but I'm playing for keeps. Although I need you, I'm not gonna make this. You know I want to, but I'm in too deep..."

Situation
An update on my situation... I heard back from my test results today. The liver test showed my enzymes slightly high. The infection test showed no infection. I told the nurse that I'd been feeling pretty bad the last couple of days, lightheaded and stuff, so she said she'd talk to the doctor. They called back and scheduled me for an abdominal ultrasound tomorrow at 10:00. Can't eat or drink anything beforehand. So maybe they'll be able to tell what is going on from that.

Otherwise, I've been resting this afternoon. Being light-headed, I just feel better sitting down or lying down. I just wanna feel better.

I've gotten like 3 hits on searches for the "AOL sting commercial." Maybe I should post a link where people can download it. lol

"While you were sleeping, I was listenin' to the radio and wonderin' what you're thinking, when it came to mind that I didn't care. And I thought, well if it's over, I had better end it quick before I lose my nerve. Are you listening? Can you hear me?"

Sciurusation?
Was just noticing this week is "Squirrel Awareness Week." I nearly hit one of the furry little rodents yesterday. It ran out of the grass and weeds right into the road, so I swerved, then I look in the rear-view mirror and it's running back to the side of the road it came from. That reminded me of the SEINFELD (have I used that phrase before?) where George hits the pigeons, then a squirrel, with his car. lol He's visiting the squirrel at the vet...

Doctor: One more thing Mister Costanza, we just need to know what time you'll be picking him up tomorrow.
George: What's that?
Doctor: Oh, we're discharging the squirrel. We think he'll be better off at home.
George: He has no home. He's a squirrel.
Doctor: Your home, Mister Costanza. Just make sure he gets his medicine six times a day and keep his
tail elevated. ROFL

(then later, at the coffee shop)

Jerry: Maybe it'll be fun having a pet.
George: It's not a pet! It's a wild invalid! And it knows that I tried to kill it. As soon as it gets better, it's gonna gnaw my brain out in my sleep!

So, why is it that squirrels always seem to run out in front of cars? Well, I found a website dealing with that very thing:

http://web.wt.net/~psherr/squirrel_hazing.htm

This is also "Get Organized Week." So I'm thinking of using that as motivation to do some filing and cleaning out at home and throw some stuff away. I think I have clothes I wore to the disco-lives party in 1986. Hmmm. lol Just kiddin'.

"W.C. Handy, won't you look down over me? Cause I got a first-class ticket, and I'm as blue as a boy can be... Walking in Memphis. Walking with my feet ten feet off of Beale. Walking in Memphis. But do I really feel the way I feel?"

Interruption
Well, sorry I was unable to post anymore yesterday. I tried several times on Sunday evening, but never was able to get the site to load. Anyhow, it's back at work today. Hopefully, I'll be able to resume my regular posting habits. I still don't feel all that great. I didn't go help with the wedding yesterday. I just felt like crap really. I did go RUNNING after church. I thought that might make me feel better, and I think it did a little. I'm supposed to get my test results today from the doctor, so we'll see what, if anything, they found out. I'm guessing I'll have to go back for more tests.

In other news, I just remembered a pretty humorous exchange that occurred when we walked in APPLEBEES Friday night. As soon as I walked in, SHIRLEY handed me the seating chart to look at, because we only sit with certain people, obviously. Well, a few seconds later MARK walked up to greet us. He saw me looking at the chart and was like, "Everything suit you?" I said, "Well, actually, if you could, from now on, be sure CHARITY and KELLY are in non-smoking. The new cute blonde hostess was all laughing. We really should have a hand in scheduling and seating arrangements up there. I'll see what I can do. lol

Otherwise, I got a good bit done around the house yesterday. Watched the race. Newman won... again. It was old, like two months ago. Watched some football of course. DALLAS won, although they weren't on TV. I can't believe they are 3-1. Parcells is obviously a difference-maker. TITANS got beat. Watched the BRAVES get eliminated from the playoffs... again. That got old, like six years ago. lol Let someone else win the division for a change. We won 100 games. Wooooo. Big deal. We lost to the losing franchise in baseball history, the CUBS. I'm glad the YANKEES seem to be turning it around. Hopefully, they'll win it all.

I talked to AMBER last night, first time I'd heard from her in a few weeks. Also called BUNNY. She was doing OK. I was like, "You know what you really need to do is start a blog. You'll be amazed at how much better your life will be." lol She's like, "If ya'll haven't figured out by now, I'm never going to start a blog." lol

And how about this... JEN offered to come and cook me dinner tonight AND do my laundry, since I am sick. Awwwwwwww!!! How sweet. Geez, I need someone to take care of me. I hate being sick!

"I'm learning to live without you now, but I miss you sometimes. The more I know, the less I understand. All the things I thought I knew, I'm learning again. I've been tryin' to get down to the heart of the matter, but my will gets weak, and my thoughts seem to scatter. But I think it's about forgiveness, forgiveness. Even if, even if, you don't love me anymore..."

Mal-condition
Sitting here eating some MCDONALD'S for lunch, watching the race and a little football. I've felt really bad since last night. I've been light-headed all day today for some reason. Maybe I'll hear something from the doctor tomorrow. KYLE called and asked if I wanted to help them film a wedding this evening. I told him I'd call him back and let him know. I'm not feeling all that great.

There is a feeling you get as you grow closer and closer to someone. Maybe part of it is trust, just a safe feeling. Part of it maybe is just familiarity. You begin to see that person as someone totally different, to feel their joy and pain, until they become almost a part of you. And when that feeling is lost, for whatever reason, it's sad. When you look at that person and they have suddenly become like everyone else, and that closeness is gone.

"Is there anyone out there cause it's getting harder and harder to breathe?"

Elongation
There is no more male idea in the history of the universe than "Let's fly up to the moon and drive around." - JS

Good morning blog comrades. Last night was pretty packed out. I headed to D-town around 6:00. KYLE and I went and shot a few games of 8-BALL. That was the best I have played in a long time. I was seeing all the angles clearly. I made a couple of length-of-the-table bank shots. Ended up winning four out of six games, as KYLE was playing pretty well, too. The games went fast, then about 7:30, we headed towards HARTSELLE to film the bands at halftime. Just we pulled up and were unloading, I heard the PA announcer say, "The score at halftime.." I was like, wow, right on time. So we hurried in and got a little footage, and KYLE learned what he needed to know for the real shoot.

After that, we headed up to APPLEBEES. Sat with DONNA. As soon as we got there, I went to the bathroom and DAVINA stopped me on my way. She was like, "I have issues with you." My first thought was, "Oh crap, she's been reading the blog." ROFL But she was like, "Those people that were with ya'll last night, the guy with the wife and baby, took both of their credit card receipts. So I only made like three bucks off yall's entire table." Well, immediately, I felt horrible. Let me insert here that I normally tip at the very least 25%, usually more like 30-40%. But Thursday night, I only had a lemonade, which was free, and a sundae, which was free. And I still would have tipped a dollar or two normally, but all I had were twenties. And I figured with seven people at the table, that she would get a nice tip.

Anyway, I asked her if we could find the receipt, would she be able to enter the tip, because I was going to get KYLE to see if KEVIN still had it. But she said no, because she already entered the ticket the night before with no tip. So KYLE tipped like $2 and change and ERIC tipped a buck, and that was all she got. I can't believe J-MO didn't tip. He even got his meal bought by KEVIN. I'll have to talk to him about that. So I apologized to her and told her I'd make it up to her the next time we sit with her. They are always so nice to us up there, treating us very well, and we always try to tip accordingly. I gotsta take care of my girlz.

By the way, I asked if JON'S meal was free because he found a hair in it, but she said it wasn't a hair, that it was a bristle off the barbecue brush. Hmmmm. We'll have to conduct some DNA testing on that.

Anyway, I had the buffalo ranch chicken sandwich, or whatever its called. It was good. JADE, NATALIE, CHARITY, and KELLY were also there. KELLY is so friendly. We'll have to break her and CHARITY into the rotation soon. I was going to last night, but they were both in smoking section.

After that, we headed back to THE BRICK, but they were already charging a cover charge, and the band wasn't any good really, so we didn't go in. We did see three hotties in the parking lot and talked to them a bit. That almost made us decide to eat the $3 and go in, but for some reason, we didn't. lol We did drive around to the "street-side" of the establishment, upstairs, and KYLE checked out that door. It was unlocked and there was no one taking up money there. Hmmmm.

Well, this has been long. Sorry. I'm sitting at work this morning, and after I get off here at Noon, I'm heading to watch the BAMA game.

"You tried so hard to keep me hangin here just hangin on. You loved to see me dancin on a string. The benefit of doubt was given much too long. I'm tired of playing out this same old scene. I may be a fool for thinking your love was true. I may be a fool for thinking I'll get over you. Even though it hurts admitting it has to end. I may be a fool, but never yours again..."
