Situation
An update on my situation... I heard back from my test results today. The liver test showed my enzymes slightly high. The infection test showed no infection. I told the nurse that I'd been feeling pretty bad the last couple of days, lightheaded and stuff, so she said she'd talk to the doctor. They called back and scheduled me for an abdominal ultrasound tomorrow at 10:00. Can't eat or drink anything beforehand. So maybe they'll be able to tell what is going on from that.

Otherwise, I've been resting this afternoon. Being light-headed, I just feel better sitting down or lying down. I just wanna feel better.

I've gotten like 3 hits on searches for the "AOL sting commercial." Maybe I should post a link where people can download it. lol

"While you were sleeping, I was listenin' to the radio and wonderin' what you're thinking, when it came to mind that I didn't care. And I thought, well if it's over, I had better end it quick before I lose my nerve. Are you listening? Can you hear me?"

Sciurusation?
Was just noticing this week is "Squirrel Awareness Week." I nearly hit one of the furry little rodents yesterday. It ran out of the grass and weeds right into the road, so I swerved, then I look in the rear-view mirror and it's running back to the side of the road it came from. That reminded me of the SEINFELD (have I used that phrase before?) where George hits the pigeons, then a squirrel, with his car. lol He's visiting the squirrel at the vet...

Doctor: One more thing Mister Costanza, we just need to know what time you'll be picking him up tomorrow.
George: What's that?
Doctor: Oh, we're discharging the squirrel. We think he'll be better off at home.
George: He has no home. He's a squirrel.
Doctor: Your home, Mister Costanza. Just make sure he gets his medicine six times a day and keep his
tail elevated. ROFL

(then later, at the coffee shop)

Jerry: Maybe it'll be fun having a pet.
George: It's not a pet! It's a wild invalid! And it knows that I tried to kill it. As soon as it gets better, it's gonna gnaw my brain out in my sleep!

So, why is it that squirrels always seem to run out in front of cars? Well, I found a website dealing with that very thing:

http://web.wt.net/~psherr/squirrel_hazing.htm

This is also "Get Organized Week." So I'm thinking of using that as motivation to do some filing and cleaning out at home and throw some stuff away. I think I have clothes I wore to the disco-lives party in 1986. Hmmm. lol Just kiddin'.

"W.C. Handy, won't you look down over me? Cause I got a first-class ticket, and I'm as blue as a boy can be... Walking in Memphis. Walking with my feet ten feet off of Beale. Walking in Memphis. But do I really feel the way I feel?"

Interruption
Well, sorry I was unable to post anymore yesterday. I tried several times on Sunday evening, but never was able to get the site to load. Anyhow, it's back at work today. Hopefully, I'll be able to resume my regular posting habits. I still don't feel all that great. I didn't go help with the wedding yesterday. I just felt like crap really. I did go RUNNING after church. I thought that might make me feel better, and I think it did a little. I'm supposed to get my test results today from the doctor, so we'll see what, if anything, they found out. I'm guessing I'll have to go back for more tests.

In other news, I just remembered a pretty humorous exchange that occurred when we walked in APPLEBEES Friday night. As soon as I walked in, SHIRLEY handed me the seating chart to look at, because we only sit with certain people, obviously. Well, a few seconds later MARK walked up to greet us. He saw me looking at the chart and was like, "Everything suit you?" I said, "Well, actually, if you could, from now on, be sure CHARITY and KELLY are in non-smoking. The new cute blonde hostess was all laughing. We really should have a hand in scheduling and seating arrangements up there. I'll see what I can do. lol

Otherwise, I got a good bit done around the house yesterday. Watched the race. Newman won... again. It was old, like two months ago. Watched some football of course. DALLAS won, although they weren't on TV. I can't believe they are 3-1. Parcells is obviously a difference-maker. TITANS got beat. Watched the BRAVES get eliminated from the playoffs... again. That got old, like six years ago. lol Let someone else win the division for a change. We won 100 games. Wooooo. Big deal. We lost to the losing franchise in baseball history, the CUBS. I'm glad the YANKEES seem to be turning it around. Hopefully, they'll win it all.

I talked to AMBER last night, first time I'd heard from her in a few weeks. Also called BUNNY. She was doing OK. I was like, "You know what you really need to do is start a blog. You'll be amazed at how much better your life will be." lol She's like, "If ya'll haven't figured out by now, I'm never going to start a blog." lol

And how about this... JEN offered to come and cook me dinner tonight AND do my laundry, since I am sick. Awwwwwwww!!! How sweet. Geez, I need someone to take care of me. I hate being sick!

"I'm learning to live without you now, but I miss you sometimes. The more I know, the less I understand. All the things I thought I knew, I'm learning again. I've been tryin' to get down to the heart of the matter, but my will gets weak, and my thoughts seem to scatter. But I think it's about forgiveness, forgiveness. Even if, even if, you don't love me anymore..."

Mal-condition
Sitting here eating some MCDONALD'S for lunch, watching the race and a little football. I've felt really bad since last night. I've been light-headed all day today for some reason. Maybe I'll hear something from the doctor tomorrow. KYLE called and asked if I wanted to help them film a wedding this evening. I told him I'd call him back and let him know. I'm not feeling all that great.

There is a feeling you get as you grow closer and closer to someone. Maybe part of it is trust, just a safe feeling. Part of it maybe is just familiarity. You begin to see that person as someone totally different, to feel their joy and pain, until they become almost a part of you. And when that feeling is lost, for whatever reason, it's sad. When you look at that person and they have suddenly become like everyone else, and that closeness is gone.

"Is there anyone out there cause it's getting harder and harder to breathe?"

Elongation
There is no more male idea in the history of the universe than "Let's fly up to the moon and drive around." - JS

Good morning blog comrades. Last night was pretty packed out. I headed to D-town around 6:00. KYLE and I went and shot a few games of 8-BALL. That was the best I have played in a long time. I was seeing all the angles clearly. I made a couple of length-of-the-table bank shots. Ended up winning four out of six games, as KYLE was playing pretty well, too. The games went fast, then about 7:30, we headed towards HARTSELLE to film the bands at halftime. Just we pulled up and were unloading, I heard the PA announcer say, "The score at halftime.." I was like, wow, right on time. So we hurried in and got a little footage, and KYLE learned what he needed to know for the real shoot.

After that, we headed up to APPLEBEES. Sat with DONNA. As soon as we got there, I went to the bathroom and DAVINA stopped me on my way. She was like, "I have issues with you." My first thought was, "Oh crap, she's been reading the blog." ROFL But she was like, "Those people that were with ya'll last night, the guy with the wife and baby, took both of their credit card receipts. So I only made like three bucks off yall's entire table." Well, immediately, I felt horrible. Let me insert here that I normally tip at the very least 25%, usually more like 30-40%. But Thursday night, I only had a lemonade, which was free, and a sundae, which was free. And I still would have tipped a dollar or two normally, but all I had were twenties. And I figured with seven people at the table, that she would get a nice tip.

Anyway, I asked her if we could find the receipt, would she be able to enter the tip, because I was going to get KYLE to see if KEVIN still had it. But she said no, because she already entered the ticket the night before with no tip. So KYLE tipped like $2 and change and ERIC tipped a buck, and that was all she got. I can't believe J-MO didn't tip. He even got his meal bought by KEVIN. I'll have to talk to him about that. So I apologized to her and told her I'd make it up to her the next time we sit with her. They are always so nice to us up there, treating us very well, and we always try to tip accordingly. I gotsta take care of my girlz.

By the way, I asked if JON'S meal was free because he found a hair in it, but she said it wasn't a hair, that it was a bristle off the barbecue brush. Hmmmm. We'll have to conduct some DNA testing on that.

Anyway, I had the buffalo ranch chicken sandwich, or whatever its called. It was good. JADE, NATALIE, CHARITY, and KELLY were also there. KELLY is so friendly. We'll have to break her and CHARITY into the rotation soon. I was going to last night, but they were both in smoking section.

After that, we headed back to THE BRICK, but they were already charging a cover charge, and the band wasn't any good really, so we didn't go in. We did see three hotties in the parking lot and talked to them a bit. That almost made us decide to eat the $3 and go in, but for some reason, we didn't. lol We did drive around to the "street-side" of the establishment, upstairs, and KYLE checked out that door. It was unlocked and there was no one taking up money there. Hmmmm.

Well, this has been long. Sorry. I'm sitting at work this morning, and after I get off here at Noon, I'm heading to watch the BAMA game.

"You tried so hard to keep me hangin here just hangin on. You loved to see me dancin on a string. The benefit of doubt was given much too long. I'm tired of playing out this same old scene. I may be a fool for thinking your love was true. I may be a fool for thinking I'll get over you. Even though it hurts admitting it has to end. I may be a fool, but never yours again..."

Prognostication
Well the doctor's appointment was an adventure. He gave me some medicine for an irritated stomach. Said it didn't sound like a full-blown ulcer, but it could develop into one if it goes untreated. I have been stressing a lot over work and other things, for quite a while. He also did some blood work to check for infection or any kind of liver trouble. He had mentioned to me the possibility of an enlarged liver, but said it felt OK. They're supposed to call me Monday with the test results. So... I'm taking this medicine to see if this helps. If it doesn't, OR it gets worse, OR something shows up in my test results, I'll have to go back for more tests, x-rays, and an ultrasound. So, I don't know for sure, but it's kind of a "try this and see" thing right now. Hopefully, it's nothing serious.

One thing I know is that I have to stop letting things bother me. A lot has just been going on lately, and I've been anxious sometimes and stressed. That, of course, increases your chances of developing an ulcer and all other kinds of health problems.

NOW for the funny part... funny now, at least. Let me preface this by saying that I've never, EVER had a problem taking a shot, giving blood, or anything, NEVER! I just donated a pint of blood a few weeks ago and had no trouble whatsoever. BUT, right after he (assistant) had taken the two viles of blood, one for the liver test and one for the infection test, I began to get light-headed very quickly. I was sitting in a chair and he wet a paper towel and put it on my head. Wasn't helping. Everything was becoming blurry. He yelled at a nurse to bring me some water. They poured it in me. Didn't help. I was fading fast, everything was very dark and blurry. He said, "Let's lie him down." So they lifted me out of the chair, and helped me to another room where there was a bed. I don't know how I was taking steps. I was clinching my fists trying not to pass out, because well I didn't want to and besides, it's embarrassing. Finally I get to the bed, and ram my leg into the foot stool. I remember the nurse saying, "Can you lift your leg up?" I don't think I could. Finally I was lying there half on the bed, when the nurse grabs me under both arms and pulls me up fully on the bed. All this time I'm blurry, barely aware of anything going on. Then the assistant grabs both my legs and puts them over his shoulder. Finally, after a few seconds, the blood begins rushing back to my brain, and I can see better. Wow, that was a little scary. lol I can laugh about it now, but man, that's never happened to me before. And it was weird, because it didn't start until he pulled the needle out of my arm. I just remember thinking, "I'm about to know what it feels like to faint", and clinching my fists to stay awake. Oh well.

KYLE emailed me and asked if I could help film the HARTSELLE band tonight. So I said I would. That's about all I know. Oh yeah, got my truck back. I'll have to wait until it's cool to see if the heat is fixed. He said all they did was undo the heater hose and blow it out with an airhose, that it was a little bit clogged. Also got my door fixed. It's been a busy week, again.

Recollection
I'm so glad it's Friday! This week has actually gone by pretty fast. You know, life just seems to get busier and busier. I almost know it wasn't that long ago when I seemed to have hours of free time several nights a week. I don't know what happened. And now if I ever do get some free time, it seems like I just pass out for a couple of hours from exhaustion and lack of sleep. Well, it's good to be busy.

It was funny last night when everyone came into AB's, I was like "Well hello fellow bloggers." ROFL JON was asking DAVINA if she surfed the net much, like he was going to give her our blog addresses. I was like "Don't do that, I'll have to delete my blog." ROFL She did say she'd read my blog when I sent her the link.

We got into this discussion last night at GREENBRIER about the BEAR BRYANT bobblehead that the University is about to start selling, or maybe they already have, to raise money. Anyway, it's like $39, and I'm sure it will become a collector's item. But we were talking about whether or not it is disrespectful to have a bobblehead of a deceased person. I tend to believe it is a little disrespectful. Anyway, later at AB's, it was kinda weird cause KEVIN mentioned BOBBLEHEADS. He was like "Why are bobbleheads so popular?" I have no clue.

Alright, back to work for a little bit.

Soporification
Well I had a fairly long, interesting night. Had dinner at GREENBRIER with a female friend. Then I went by the POST OFFICE, ran to GOODY'S and to the MALL to do my birthday shopping for MOM. Then KYLE called and wanted to go up to APPLEBEES. So I stopped by there. By now, it was about 8:45. Sat with DAVINA. Then KEVIN, STACY, JON, and ERIC came in, so we scooted two tables together and all sat together. Had some good conversation, as usual. JON prefaced one of his comments with this disclaimer: "I don't want this to end up in anyone's blog." ROFL Anyway, I just drank some LEMONADE and had a small chocolate sundae, since I'd already eaten.

KYLE was asking me where I ate, and he was like "How did that happen?" So I said, "Well I was just hanging out at DAY PARK, and started getting a little hungry." ROFL Kidding, of course! More funny stuff was said, but I am getting sleepy now. I did see an interesting hair accesory. It was a yellow pencil with like some fishing lures tied around it. I thought, "Well that's handy. You can write something, or cast your line and catch a few fish." lol Not sure what kind of lure is was... maybe like a gold spinner or something. ROFL Oh, I almost forgot... JON found a small curly hair on the side of his sauce container, after he'd finished eating.

Ok, I'm sleepy. More tomorrow. Thanks for readin'.

Examination
I scheduled a doctor's appointment for tomorrow at 10:45. I'm a little anxious as to what might be wrong, but better to find out now I suppose. I did find out my longtime family doctor has closed his office. He is only working like two days a week now at one of those quickie med-clinic places. So I got an appt. with a doctor in Hartselle who I saw this spring.

In other news, put my truck in the shop today. The dealership gave me a loaner to drive. He said they should be done by tomorrow. Got to get the heat fixed, and also the hinge or pin or something on my driver's side door is wearing out. So I may get that replaced, too. It would be weird to drive without a door, I think. And I told him to go ahead and change the oil while they have it. So right now, I'm cruising around in a sleek, white 1998 Chevy Lumina. lol All I need is a handicapped tag.

Was just looking at hits, and I got a hit from someone who did a GOOGLE search for "men's panties." ROFL Oh man, I can't imagine. But the thing is, when I clicked on it, there are like 8 pages of sites that popped up, and most of them appear to be porn. Then right in the middle there, on page 3, you see Bone's Blog. lol I was trying to figure why I had ever used that phrase, but it was something JON was telling me they were joking around with KYLE about. I posted it on September 2nd, if you want to look it up.

Otherwise, I've got to write out several bills today, and go mail them. I need to fold and put up clothes that I washed earlier this week. lol And I really, really need to run. Later tonight, planning to go pick something up for Mom's bday tomorrow and go out to eat.

"You know how you said happiness can't be found lookin' back. If you don't mind, maybe we can talk a little more about that. Go on, go on. You were sayin' how a fool can only fool you so long. It's true. It's so true. When they do you like that, what else can you do, but go on..."
