A Few Quick Moments In Television History

Lucy One,whacky good-looking, redhead who
made us laugh and laugh. During the six years that the show ran 1951-1957,
it was the #1 show in America for four of those years.

Trivial Bit: While all appeared calm and cool, it was different off the small screen. Lucy and Desi had many well known bouts and the Mertz's had their share too. William Frawley (Fred) was 64 when the show aired and Ethyl (Vivian Vance) was only 39. Seems they didn't really like each other. Frawley called her "that sack of doorknobs" and Vivian couldn't understand how anyone could believe she was married to that old man. Hey man, we all believed it. The popularity of the show proves it.

Perry Mason was one smart lawyer. He knew who the murderer was before the police even had a clue. Davy Crockett and Georgie Russell (Fess Parker, Buddy Ebsen) fought Indians, bad guys and even bears.

It's Howdy Doody Time!
Let's here it from the peanut gallery. Howdy, Buffalo Bob and Clarabelle, with his seltzer bottle, brought us many, many laughs. Remember the rest of the cast? Chief Thunderthud, Princess Summer Fall Winter Spring, Mister Bluster, Dilly Dally, Inspector John J. Fadoozle-America's Number 1 Private Eye and The Flub-A-Dub. If I've forgotten someone or the spelling is wrong, What can I say? It's been a long time!

Hi Yo Silver Away! America's Favorite Cowboy hero. Or at least mine.

The Man Of Steel! Everyone loved
George reeves, the only true Superman. Even Kryptonite can't kill the memories of this super hero.
