Tony Williams unbeliveable voice and the great backup
from the rest of the group, produced a string of
unforgetable hits. Of course Buck Ram's song writing had
something to do with it too. A few are: Only You, The
Great Pretender, The Magic Touch, My Prayer, I'm
Sorry,Twilight Time, Enchanted, Smoke Gets In Your Eyes,
and Remember When. Man I sure do. |
| While Rock Around The Clock (1955) maybe considered rock and roll's international anthem, it was only one of Bill Haley and the Comets' great tunes. What about: See You Later Alligator, Shake Rattle and Roll, Crazy Man Crazy, R-O-C-K, Hot Dog Buddy Buddy, The Saints Rock and Roll, Rip It Up, to name a few. This pioneer and his little spit curl passed on in 1981. We love you Bill. |  |
