March 2, 2001:

Just want to start this one off by Thanking everyone for the feedback we've been getting from these reports. I'm Glad to know I'm not wasting my time. (just yours).

Had a few people wanting to know why I haven't talked about their town yet. Patience my children, patience. Like I said before, I usually try to send these out a day or two after each show. But with the lack of a working laptop and the sheer hecticness ( is that a word?) of the tour it just became impossible.

For instance, This is pretty much what our day consisted of.
Drive to the show.
Load in.
Wait for our turn to soundcheck. (maybe)
Hang around and look cool while Dynamiteboy plays.
Play.
Hang around and look cool while the Queers play.
Load out.
Drive to the hotel or a friends house.
Wake up about 10 to check out. (Or thrown out by our friends)
Drive to the next show.
Pretty glamorous, isn't it?

O.k. I did leave out the parts about all the backstage "action" but you'll just have to wait for the VH1 special for that.

Anyway... Carrboro, N.C. is our next stop. The infamous Cats Cradle. Its weird that where the bands have to load in and park, its designated for handicap parking only. I guess that makes sense since a bunch of fairly heterosexual guys would voluntarily cram themselves into vans where they have to practically sleep on top of each other seems pretty fucking retarded. I guess that should qualify. But sure enough, The Queers van got towed. When we got there, I saw the handicap sign where we were parked. It was on a pole that was stuck in a bucket of cement. so I did what any decent law-abiding citizen would do. I picked it up and moved it. problem solved.

Oh boy! I can hear it now. "My mother is a cripple and blah blah blah...." So what if you know someone who is crippled. WE'RE RETARDED!!!!!!!!!!!

We'll it was another lovely show despite the tow truck incident. Want to say howdy to Dave Quick and Jack Whitebread of Jack Black. thanks for showing up late. Good to see you guys anyway.

Coming up next time: will find out who some of the other guys are on this tour. Since Nino from Dynamiteboy is now on our mailing list, I guess I'll have to say something about his band.
See ya.
