It doesn't take a genus to figure out that this crybabby is the main chareter. Usagi loves to eat, sleep and read manga. (well she loves Mamoru too!) She cares a lot about people and often noses her way into other people's lives (specially their love lives) trying to help them. Usagi is suposed to resemble the series' creator, Naoko Takeunchi, and Usagi's family is suposed to resemble Ms. Takechi's own family. In the begginng, Usagi finds a little back cat with a cresant moon on her forhead and imagine Usagi's suprise when she talks and indroduces herself as Luna. Luna tells Usagi that she is Sailor Moon, and although things don't start out so great, Usagi does get the hang of this super heroine business.

Later on in the series, after the 5 inner senshi are found, and the Silver Cyrstal, Usagi is revealed as the moon princees. Meaning in her past life, durring the silver melenium, when the moon guarded the Earth she was destened to follow in Queen Serenity's footsteps. Sailor Moon is one of the most powerful of all the senshi when she uses the Silver Crystal (the only senshi that even comes close to this is Sailor Saturn) The Silver Crytal only reaches full power wheb Usagi is willing to give up her life for it. (this was editted out in the English Version.) In fact she dies several times within the series but is always brought back to life(duh) in different ways.

Sailor Moon S- Sailor Moon gets a slightly different outfit, and later can become Super Sailor Moon.

Future 30th century Crysal Tokyo- becomes Neo Queen Serenity, and Chibi-Usa's mom!

Sailor Moon SuperS- she becomes Super Sailor Moon permently
Sailor Moon Stars- she can become Eternal Sailor Moon (the one w/ angel wings)
