The keyboard is an input device that is used to enable you to enter alphabetic, Numeric, Cursor, function key and other information into your computer. The keyboard consists of a typewriter style QWERTY keyboard with a set of function keys, which are directly above this. There is also a keypad on the far right hand side of the keyboard with some cursor keys to the left of that. When the keys are depressed they send the corresponding key code to the PC. The keyboard is connected to your PC using an AT connector, PS2 port or a USB port (the AT format is no longer used on modern PC’s)
