My Life Story
Joined up Talking
It

This is the third album from a band who can certainly be defined as unique. By their music, they sound classy, elegant, stylish and extremely mature, but look at their lyrics and you'll see that they're ostensibly weird. They use string sections, brass sections and harps, but combine these with lyrics such as, "She's always treading in bullshit" and, "There's penis rings on Wall Street / Now Prince Albert is a finance god".

There's also one of the best song titles that I've ever heard, If You Can't Live Without Me Then Why Aren't You Dead Yet? The songs have very catchy melodies and very contemporary lyrics, making references to Viagra, Monica Lewinsky and tamagotchis.

The best songs on this album are the singles, It's a Girl Thing and Walk/Don't Walk, but that doesn't mean that the other songs won't have similar appeal to anyone else.

8/10
