There was not much in the way of a garden here when we bought this house in the summer of 2004. There wasn't even a lawn. There are lots of oak trees, but, luckily for me, a hurricane let in some sun. We have begun a formal Parterre Garden in front of the house, a Moon Garden on axis to it, a White Walk beside the house, a small courtyard garden off the kitchen porch, a lawn in front, a Tea Walk along the west side of the property, and planted a few small trees and shrubs along the driveway. It may sound like a lot in a few months, but there is so much left to do.
